I honestly had such a great experience at The Friesian Empire! My cousin got married here, and this venue was just SO beautiful. It has the perfect mix of rustic charm and elegance..., and the ballroom is absolutely gorgeous! The bar was incredible too. There is just so much character throughout the property, and it definitely isn't your typical wedding venue.
One thing I really appreciated was how easy everything was for guests. Parking was included, which was great, and I even got picked up in a golf cart and dropped off right at the doors! Such a nice touch, especially when you're dressed up for a wedding. Little things like that really do make a difference.
The property itself is beautiful, and the horses are such a unique touch! There are also several different rooms to explore throughout the venue. One of them was called "Old Town West" (I THINK that's the name anyway! Ha!). It was such a fun surprise during cocktail hour while we were waiting to be seated for dinner. It literally feels like a little old town, and everyone was walking around, mingling, and taking pictures. It gave guests something fun to do instead of just standing around waiting. I thought that was such a cool idea!
They also have a lounge area with comfortable couches and plenty of seating, so there were spots to sit and relax throughout the space. The vendors were super friendly too, which made the whole experience even better.
And I have to give this place some serious credit for how CLEAN it was! I've been to quite a few wedding venues, and this one really stood out. Everything was so well kept, and the bathrooms were sparkling. Lol. BUT THE LADIES' RESTROOM!!! Seriously, it was SPECTACULAR. If you love vintage, antique-style decor, you have to see it. There's even a couch in there, and it makes for some really fun pictures. Never thought I'd be raving about a bathroom in a wedding review, but here we are! Haha.
Overall, The Friesian Empire was such a wonderful place to celebrate my cousin's wedding. Between the gorgeous ballroom, the unique little spaces, the horses, the friendly vendors, and all the thoughtful touches for guests, it really made an impression on me. I loved that there was so much to explore, and everything felt beautiful without losing that cozy, rustic charm. I'd definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding location that feels a little different from the usual! ❤️
