Our September 2026 wedding was a beautiful day with wonderful people as our vendors. The Fitzgerald provided a gorgeous place for our guests, and it's such a uniquely awesome venue...
that everyone continued to give lavish praise for. Overall, we are happy that the day went as well as it did, but in the sake of honesty we're providing perspective so future guests and clients can be aware when working with this venue. We booked early in 2025 before the Fitzgerald had its first wedding; we understood this may mean some wrinkles needing to be ironed in the process and overall experience. However, the next year and a half was filled with doubt, confusion, and unnecessary stress that really didn't need to take place. It's a lot of the usual wedding headache (finding out who is in charge of what, coming to decisions between multiple parties, organizing many moving pieces at once, etc) but there was a lot of unprecedented trouble that never got explained, and we can't think of good reasons why it wouldn't. There are quite a few examples of this: having to explain ourselves repeatedly, orders/choices being made outside of our wishes, continued 'promises' both in writing/by mouth as well as through contracts/invoices that never happened, not to mention the weeks and even months we had to wait for simple tasks to be done. All of this created a lot of disappointment, but luckily our day of coordinator was a professional who had seen this before and knew how to prepare, and I (the bride) was planning the whole operation so was making sure to have contingencies in place for the coordinator to feel more secure. This is why we can't give a better review, even though in the end our wedding day went awesome and we had no issues the day of. We simply hoped the venue would do more to earn the money we spent on them, but at the end of the day, we're happy we chose the Fitzgerald and wouldn't have picked another venue over them. This may or may not be the experience of all folks who booked a newer venue so it's just our perspective.
