It was a multi-day celebration bringing together Western and Hindu traditions, with what felt like a thousand different moving parts, countless details, multiple events, and a whole lot of expectations. To say that planning and executing a wedding of this magnitude was complicated would be an understatement!
Enter the incredible TEGI team: Naj, Tara, Fez, and Zara, led by the most extraordinary wedding designer and planner we could have ever dreamed of, Tanya Wilbon.
From our very first conversation, we knew we were in exceptional hands. The creativity, vision, attention to detail, and ability to take a million ideas and turn them into something breathtaking were simply unmatched. They didn't just plan our wedding. They understood our vision, respected the significance of both cultures and traditions, and brought everything together in a way that felt seamless, elegant, and uniquely ours.
And the execution? Absolutely phenomenal! The team was everywhere, yet somehow never in the way. We had such a great experience with TEGI. Our wedding was at Reston Lake, and I still can’t believe what they were able to do with the clubhouse. They completely transformed the space; it was beautiful and felt nothing like the room we originally walked into! We started searching The Knot and came across TEGI. We reached out, talked with Tanya, and pretty much knew right away we had found our people.
Tanya listened to what we wanted and made the whole thing feel possible. Naj was incredible with the details and somehow always seemed to be one step ahead of us. Sofia was wonderful too, especially as we got closer to the wedding and there were a million little things happening at once.
When we finally got to Key West, we were able to actually enjoy ourselves. We weren't worrying about vendors, schedules, or what needed to happen next. Tanya, Naj and Sofia had it covered.
Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be, and we got to enjoy it instead of managing it.

She transformed a simple open field into a full luxury wedding experience. The sailcloth tents glowing at sunset, the lighting, the flowers, the lounge areas, the live music, the dance floor, the food stations… every single detail felt intentional and magical.

Her warm, welcoming personality instantly put us at ease, and we would hire her again.
We’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 because there were a few areas that could have been improved. We were told we’d have access to Aisle Planner, a tool meant to help us stay organized, but it wasn’t set up properly for us to use. Her team also took photos/videos during the wedding day, for social media, but a quick heads-up beforehand would have been appreciated. Finally, at the end of the reception, clearer communication to our family and friends about whether items could be left overnight at the venue would have helped avoid confusion, unnecessary packing, and some misplaced items.
That said, her team on the wedding day was very helpful and attentive. Tanya’s dedication and personal attention truly made our wedding day special, and we are grateful for all her hard work. We really appreciated the support!

he scenery. No venue, no infrastructure, no cell service... just wide open fields, mooing neighbors, and a wild idea. We knew it was crazy. But then we found Tanya Wilbon and The Event Group International, and everything changed.
Somehow, Tanya turned a literal pasture into a full-blown, jaw-dropping wedding experience. We're talking luxury tents that looked like they belonged in a magazine spread, perfectly placed lighting that made everything feel cinematic, a full sound system (in the middle of a field?!), generators, staging, coordinated staff, caterers, rentals, bathrooms, and things we didn’t even know we needed.
But it didn’t stop there. The TEGI team arranged lodging accommodations for all our guests across the nearest towns, handled transportation, and even organized local shuttles using refurbished old trucks that looked straight out of a movie. Watching our guests pull up to this remote field in beautifully restored vintage vehicles was just... unbelievable. It set the tone for something truly special.
We don’t know how they did it—seriously, we still don’t understand how any of it was possible—but every single detail was flawless. Guests were blown away. The food was phenomenal, the music was spot-on, the atmosphere was pure magic. Tanya managed every logistic like a master conductor and made it all look effortless.

They were all easily accessible and responded quickly, and generally made the big weekend as low-stress as possible for us and our families. We’d recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for big event planning help.
Our wedding was pretty involved – there were 300 guests, multiple events over two days, and about 8 vendors providing different services. Coordinating everything would have been overwhelming without TEGI’s expertise and support. Carrie and Fez handled all of the vendor logistics and kept things running smoothly and on schedule, which saved us a ton of mental effort. They provided a lot of general advice, especially about how to arrange the reception, and their collective experience really made a difference. We used a WhatsApp group chat to communicate efficiently and get quick answers to last-minute questions.
We got a bunch of compliments saying that our events went really smoothly, and we can thank TEGI for that!
