cates well - and even answered last minute questions on the day of our wedding. We were able to visit the venue multiple times and plan in the venue. Day of access was simple and convenient. And the square was pretty quiet, considering it was a Saturday event.
Industrial look with so much natural light and windows. Clean and elegant. The bridal suite was comfortable and plenty of space for our wedding party. It was a dream come true.
Stunning, great staff elegant, knowledgeable, above and beyond creative helpful we are glad we picked the Delaware . The Delaware team made my Love and I day beautiful

egant and welcoming, with just the right balance of charm and sophistication. What truly sets it apart, though, is the team. From start to finish, they were kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our celebrations feel special. Every detail was handled with care, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy the moments. We look back on both events with full hearts, thanks in large part to The Delaware Event.

ed with us getting us anything we needed. When event was winding down we did not feel rushed to leave when cleaning up and that was great.
We are so in love with this venue. We saw it from the outside months before we visited for a tour and we knew that was going to be our venue. Courtney and the staff are a pleasure ...
to work with and we didn’t run into one issue along the way. This is a very transparent group of people and I love that about them.
The dressing rooms are GORGEOUS and the bridal space is very open and spacious, which was perfect for all the people we had getting hair and makeup done, along with space for my 2 year old to run around and play while we were getting ready. It was also a beautiful backdrop for pictures.
The whole place is beautiful undecorated (which is what we decided to do for our ceremony) and is also a blank slate for those who want decor. There are plenty of spots right outside that are nice for photos.
I would highly recommend this venue, and if I were to go back in time and replan my whole wedding, I would still choose The Delaware. On top of it all, they have great coffee!
The Delaware was the perfect venue for our wedding! The event managers and bar tenders were on top of things and help us in every way possible. We did a room flip, which can be a l...
ot to handle, but they were very fast getting it done. Not once during our event did I have to ask for anything to be done because they were very punctual and organized. Having a full twelve hours of access was plenty of time to get everything set up the way we wanted it and they made sure to get the coffee shop shut down right on time!
LOVED this venue for our wedding!!! It photographed so beautifully and the staff was awesome to work with. 100% would recommend this space!

bsolutely wonderful. We cannot thank the staff at the Delaware enough for all of their help to make our wedding day the best ever!! The entire night was seamless, which as the bride, is exactly what I needed. We highly recommend this venue. The simple beauty of the space allowed us to showcase it with minimal decor of flowers, string lights, photos, and a fabulous dessert table. I cannot emphasize how perfect my night was!!! It was everything and more. Huge thanks to Courtney Kelly & all the staff at The Delaware!!

didn't bother looking anywhere else. The staff's friendliness, convenience, off-season price, and minimalistic beauty of the venue with vintage vibes in the dressing rooms sold us.
Courtney was so easy to work with and the ladies that helped during the day were amazing. We heard from our guests how they loved the uniqueness of the space, the drinks during cocktail hour provided by the on-site bar, and the setup.
I couldn't recomend The Delaware more. Thank you so much to the staff for curating this space and our day!

te is so cute! And the Groomsmen have their on quarters. This is an old mechanic shop turned venue which I just adored. We were able to have our own caterer and The Delaware did the drinks. We did both ceremony and reception at The Delaware and Courtney made sure the transition was seamless. I loved every bit of this venue!
Amazing Event Space!!!!!
My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding at The Delaware this past June and everyone kept complimenting on what a great time they were having at the wedding. Having the garage ...
doors open created a fun atmosphere for the reception and the staff was excellent. Recommend 10/10. Thank you!
It's a beautiful place with kind people that are willing to help!
We chose The Delaware as the venue for our 20th high school reunion. The layout was perfect. Plenty of seating, plenty of room to stand and chat, the bar was located conveniently, ...
and the weather was nice enough we were able to roll up the garage doors for an inside/outside experience. I had positive reviews from my former classmates about the space itself as the night went on.
Also, the staff answered every question we had. Leading up to the event Courtney was very responsive to all inquiries and questions as well. She even answered a last minute email the day of quickly.
I’d 100% recommend The Delaware to anyone needing a space of this size for an event or wedding.
We had the reception to our wedding here and let me tell you it was amazing. We had looked at many other venues but nothing was big enough everything we were coming across was arou...
nd 100 to 130 guest. Then we came across the Delaware which held a little over 200 I believe which was perfect for what we were looking to do. It was enough room for our guest and to have all the handmade games we brought to play. They were very open to letting us decorate how we wanted they weren't uptight about anything and they very open to helping you in anyway. The delaware is highly recommended for any type of party event or wedding reception.
“absolutely perfect”!
We had 3 months to plan our daughter’s dream wedding. The Delaware was, hands down, the ideal setting for the “vibe” she was seeking. Courtney’s guidance and...
support was invaluable. She was always quick with a response to our (many) questions. Her recommendation for a caterer was much appreciated and provided impeccable food and service. We loved the bride’s and groom’s rooms. They offered plenty of space for the bridal party to prepare for the wedding and for pre-wedding photos. We chose to seat our guests “oscar style”, and forgo the room flip between the ceremony and the reception, which worked out perfectly for us. The wedding ceremony took place at 7pm, just as the sun was setting, and the beautiful colors from the sunset through the windows of the Delaware made for some gorgeous pictures. My favorite part of the whole event was opening up the garage doors and expanding our party out to the lighted patio. We had many of our guests comment on how relaxed and comfortable the event was. The Delaware checked off ALL of our boxes! There was even ample parking! You know you’ve hit the jackpot when the bride tells you her wedding day was “absolutely perfect”!

he perfect blank slate that is beautiful as is. We had a very vintage, comfortable, and romantic vibe for our wedding, and the space transformed beautifully. Courtney was a dream to work with - so kind and thoughtful, so thorough, and so attentive. The bridal and groom suits are perfect! We felt like we were home the entire day leading up to our wedding and reception. Absolutely recommend!

parent and the price for what you're getting is more than fair.
The space is large and open, with high ceilings which leaves so much opportunity wide open! There is a suite each for the bride and groom which is each lovely in its own way.
The huge roll-up doors were a major hit at my wedding. The bartenders are wonderful human beings, as was our security officer. All together a fantastic experience and I could not ask for more!
What an incredible new-ish venue to the KC metro!! As a photographer, I am OBSESSED with the natural lighting and all of the white (trust me, it's great for photos). They're LGBTQ ...
friendly and great team players. I can't get over the aesthetics here. They're in the top running for my own wedding one of these days which is really saying something as I have photographed over 50 venues in the Kansas City area. Do yourself a favor and check out the Delaware for your big day!!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Delaware in October 2018. Courtney absolutely deserves five stars for the space she's created and the service she provides. First: the spac...
e. It's a unique blend of warm and minimal, and it would provide the perfect backdrop for just about any style of wedding. We brought so few decorations because the space really speaks for itself. Second: the service. Courtney was nothing short of attentive, kind, and diligent every time we talked with her about the event. On the day of, I thought of things at the last minute that I'd ask Courtney about only to find that she had already handled them seamlessly. Both my husband and I received multiple compliments from many different guests about the venue — along with many positive comments from our wedding party and parents. Our day was perfect and The Delaware played a big part in that. Thank you, Courtney!

My husband and I were married at The Delaware on June 30. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to meet our needs and make our day so special. We had both our ceremon...
y and reception there, and the venue flip was seamless. My bridesmaids and I had the best time getting ready in the gorgeous bridal suite. Not only was the venue itself fantastic, but its location on historic Independence Square was perfect for pictures. I wouldn’t have pictured our wedding day anywhere else and would highly recommend!

Our ceremony and rececption took place in the same space. After the ceremony, Courtney and her staff quickly flipped the room.As the staff flipped the space for our reception, guests enjoyed drinks on the patio space. The garage doors allowed for a flexible venue and natural lighting!
Working with Courtney and The Delaware staff was a joy. Courtney took care of everything on our wedding day, because of her attention to detail and organization, I was never distracted by logistics and was able to enjoy marrying my love!
We had our reception here in May and it went better than we could have imagined! We got compliments on the venue from our guests all night. The staff is incredibly helpful and appr...
oachable, and Courtney was always available to answer my questions promptly and professionally. SHE IS ON TOP OF IT! Not to mention, the venue is gorgeous. The space is newly renovated and minimalistic, which allows you to customize and really make it yours for the night. I loved the option to open the garage doors and have guests out on the patio. There was plenty of parking, beautiful natural light, and they let you do outside catering. The only piece of criticism I can think of was that there isn’t a changing table in the restroom, but it was still a great place for kiddos! I honestly didn’t think I was going to find a venue as perfect as this one. 100% recommend!
Courtney is fabulous, flexible, trustworthy, and delivers what she promises. The Delaware is photogenic, natural, accommodating, and everything I had hoped for our ceremony venue. ...
The bridal suite is huge and feminine and vintage, while the grooms quarters are rustic, manly, and quaint!!!! The entrance is welcoming. The patio adds for added room and a great photo space for all of our wedding guests!!! Although it is a wide open space, you could still hear well! The grand stair case makes for a great entrance as well as great photo ops! Courtney personalized The Delaware’s letterboard for us!!! The space truly felt like “our space” which is what we wanted. It’s urban, but vintage, and moldable to fit any decoration needs!!!! I would choose this venue over and over for looks and for Courtney’s great service!!! She’s a wonderful component of renting the space!!!!!

nviting, and just a beautiful structure. I had both my wedding and reception there and the transition between the two executed by the staff and some friends went perfectly.
