The space is fantastic! You can do whatever you want. Our wedding photos came out amazing! Our guests loved the set-up and we are thankful to the venue that we were able to use the... caterer that we wanted versus the preferred. We also appreciated that our guests did not wait for a drink. Never a line.
A few things to be aware of. It was very hard for us to get a hold of the wedding coordinator. It took about two months to even set the planning meeting up, and we were two weeks out still trying to get hold of her. I would suggest hiring a separate wedding coordinator on your behalf. The amount of events they have, makes it very difficult to get a hold of someone.
The Crofoot seems to have some staffing issues, it seemed very chaotic the day of our Wedding. My poor MOH was running around trying to solves various issues, which she shouldn’t have had to do. The wedding coordinator checked in periodically, but when we needed something we couldn’t find her. I have a feeling she was dealing with the staff.
A few things that we we’re disappointed in:
1) We asked if the bathrooms were going to be checked throughout the event, we have some drinkers! My husband noticed an issue in the men’s restroom, and was unable to find a staff member.
2) We asked if a “tip jar” was going to the placed out. We were told no at our planning meeting. That was not the case. Our parents and I were not keen on that. We didn’t want any guest to feel they had to contribute. Plus, I expected the Crofoot to stand by what we discussed.
3) My procession in was a disaster. There was no music playing and the guests seemed to be confused. We asked the DJ what occurred, he claimed the venue did not cue him. Honestly, we don’t know if it was the venue or DJ. The wedding coordinator after the wedding, ran up to me frantic and stated “did you change your procession?”. We didn’t make any changes to the procession. We would have appreciated an apology. That is a moment, that I can’t get back as a Bride.
4) Our wedding coordinator seemed overwhelmed and confused. I think she did her best. We were very concerned when she told me, that she hadn’t reviewed our Wedding notes yet during the rehearsal. Seriously?? What are we paying for??? How have you not done that? For any brides, see if you can get a copy of what is being sent to the wedding coordinator. I would have liked to know what was actually being conveyed.
5) After the wedding, we were packing up our belongings. The wedding coordinator asked numerous times over the radio for staff to give us assistance. They did not. Instead, I packed up my own belongings/decorations with my husband in the pouring rain. We saw the staff standing around talking and collecting the leftover pizza we had for our guests. We also did not receive every item back. These items were not of monetary value, however, whatever was dropped off should be returned. I labeled each box with what item we had given over.
Overall, the Wedding was good. The guests had a good time. However, is it worth the money we paid. I would say no. We understand that things happen during a Wedding, but expectations were not meet.
