The Creek Club at I'On
I recently had my wedding at the Creek Club at I’On on October 11th, 2026, and I wanted to share our experience and all the vendors we used! This was a destination wedding for all 115 of our guests, and if you’re planning a wedding here, I hope this helps answer some of the questions I had when I was first planning.
The venue is absolutely stunning, and our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful it was. The views, atmosphere, and coastal charm made it the perfect setting for our wedding. Jamie, the head of catering, was also such a huge help throughout the planning process. I had so many questions when we first booked, and having someone so helpful made such a difference!
Food & Catering
THE FOOD WAS UNREAL. Seriously, our guests could not stop talking about how good everything was! Food was one of the highlights of our wedding, and we were so happy with the selections we made.
For cocktail hour, we started with a champagne toast and had three stations:

Bar
We chose the Silver Tear bar package, and we were also able to bring in alcohol purchased from Total Wine, which was a great option for us. They also let us return everything that wasn't opened and used!
Desserts
We ordered our wedding cake and cookies from Publix, and they offer delivery! We also had Lowcountry Cannoli come in to fill cannolis and tiramisu fresh at the wedding, which was such a fun addition.
Our macaroon tower was from Lemacaron Charleston.
Décor
I personally brought all of our wedding décor, including our hurricane vases and single-stem roses from Costco. I loved being able to personalize the space and bring our vision to life!

Our wedding reception ran from 4:30 PM to 9:45 PM because of the venue's 10 PM noise ordinance. We arranged for a trolley to pick up our guests at 10 PM and take everyone to O'Brien's Pub and Grill for an after-party that lasted until midnight. This was a great way to keep the celebration going after the reception ended!
Overall, we had such a wonderful experience getting married at the Creek Club at I’On. Between the stunning setting, incredible food, and the help we received throughout the planning process, it was such a special place to celebrate with our 115 guests. Just had our wedding June 14, 2026 at I'ON Creek Club. The venue is beautiful and my guests keep raving about the venue and views. The food was excellent, we had a seated dinner and I have not heard one complaint about the food. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that you and your guests are taken care of!!! The only complaint I have is that they clean up the tables so quick, I only had one bite of my salad LOL. Make sure you do not leave your wine glass down with wine because they will snatch it if it is sitting on the table and you leave it there!! Otherwise, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with water views! I love the neighborhood as well!! The dock is wonderful for pictures!

Not to mention the excellent food that was passed the entire evening. I highly recommend the fried oyster cakes. The day was a dream and we are ecstatic to see the candid photos that were taken throughout the evening. We are still receiving compliments on how genuinely perfect the evening was.

As a bride who planned our wedding myself, I unfortunately did not have a great experience working with management during the planning process. There were multiple interactions that left us feeling confused, frustrated, and disappointed, especially during what should be such a special and exciting time.
Being polite, friendly, and solution oriented would go a long way, especially for clients who are investing a significant amount of money to host one of the most important days of their lives.
I will say that the catering staff was much more kind and helpful to work with, and I truly appreciated their support. We still loved having our wedding here and are grateful for how beautiful the day turned out, but I would encourage future couples to be prepared for very specific rules and to advocate for themselves throughout the process.

I could not recommend Creek Club more—the food, service, communication, and views were all top-notch. We had 108 guests, plus a band and food stations, and everything fit perfectly...
inside. It did get a little loud with the band, but our guests were ready to party, so no one minded. I was hesitant to book after seeing reviews about strictness. They are strict (for example, our 15 minutes for pictures on the dock was timed), but nothing felt unreasonable or interfered with our night. Overall, it’s a beautiful Charleston-vibe venue that includes a lot, is reasonably priced, and truly delivered an amazing experience. I’d recommend it to any couple and would do it all over again here in a heart beat.

overlooks the creek and dock and provides a gorgeous backdrop to the outdoor ceremony. Everything went seamlessly and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and served quickly, the wait staff was courteous and helpful, and every detail was attended to. The large porch provided the perfect place for the cocktail hour. Guests also enjoyed talking on the porch throughout the evening. Another plus to this venue is that it is more reasonably priced compared to other venues in Charleston.
The staff at the Club - Jaime, Peggy, and Erin - were courteous, helpful, and worked very hard to make the wedding a success. It was a pleasure working with them.
I will always be grateful to the Creek Club at I'on for providing our daughter with memories of a wedding that she will cherish forever!

From the start, we knew we wanted a venue on the water with a historic vibe if possible. Even though the club itself is not historic, the I'on neighborhood is modeled after downtown Charleston, so the vibe was still there. It's stunning location on Hobcaw Creek gave the best nod to the lowcountry. Even in June, the breeze off the water kept everyone comfortable, and the porch gave us extra outdoor space for our guests to enjoy the view (we had a large wedding of 170, and the porch space allowed everyone to be in there very comfortably). Some guests elected to stay outside for most of the reception to enjoy the view and the lovely weather.
The food was a huge hit — we chose to do stations and passed hors d'oeuvres, and guests are still talking about how good everything was (definitely recommend the shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes). The bartenders were friendly and efficient — people asked for the recipe to the club’s passed cocktail during cocktail hour because it was so good! One of the bartenders even commented on how kind and fun our guests were, which really meant a lot.
Leading up to the wedding, the office staff answered every question I had (and I had a lot). On the day of, the catering manager introduced herself right when I arrived and checked in again before we left. Aside from that, the staff ran things so smoothly that we hardly even noticed they were there — a true sign of a well-oiled machine.
There are a few logistical things to be aware of, but none of them were deal-breakers for us. The venue doesn’t have a traditional bridal suite, so I got ready off-site at a hotel 10 minutes away. However, they did provide a holding room with seating, a full-length mirror, hooks for bags, and a desk so I could be tucked away comfortably before the ceremony. The hours are firm since the venue is located in a neighborhood, and there are restrictions on when you can use the dock for photos, but the staff was clear about those policies upfront. Parking is off-site, but the walk is short and there’s a golf cart shuttle for guests who need it.
There were also some personal touches that made the day even more meaningful. My mother is fully disabled and can’t sit up for long periods — the staff kindly allowed us to set up a cot in the holding room so she could lay down as needed. And they welcomed a live bagpiper for my walk down the aisle, which was my surprise for everyone, so it was very special.
A huge bonus: the Creek Club provides all tables, chairs, and dining essentials in-house, and they handle all the setup and breakdown — including the ceremony seating. This was a huge plus for us.
If you’re looking for a waterfront venue that’s beautiful, well-run, and full of Southern charm, I highly recommend the Creek Club at I’On. It gave us a magical day!

We found that the price was reasonable for what we got, especially compared to other venues in the area. This was a destination wedding for us and the communication regarding planning, payment and catering with Peggy, Erin and Jaime was great - they were always helpful and efficient. We got many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how tasty the food was. My only complaint is the strict ending time of 10PM - we would have liked to continue the party longer but we understand it was only because it's in a residential area. Overall we highly recommend the Creek Club at I'On to any couple planning on getting married in Mount Pleasant/Charleston!

ding food they have ever had! Only reason I give this venue 4 stars is due to the restrictions/rules for the property. With this venue being in the back of a neighborhood, the surrounding property owners are not fond of the venue. We got yelled at for being on the dock even though we had a contract/permission. It is also hard as the dock is open to the public and anyone can come and go/walk through your venue as they please (which did happen a lot pre-ceremony). Even though this was just a mere glimpse of our wedding day, I would still recommend this venue!

My only qualm with the creek club and it's management was their lack of flexibility and limited hours for visitation of the property and dropping off checks. This is entirely directed at the office/management staff. I had heard this from practically everyone who had used the creek club in the past so it was to be expected. My family and I kept a calendar of due dates, tastings and deadlines for the creek club because they will not send reminders and the emails and contracts are distracting with multiple highlights, stipulations and contact persons. The catering director Jaime is a gem, and was very accommodating, flexible and responsive to emails. This is a great venue for an organized bride/planner who wants a streamlined venue and catering option. If you want hand-holding...this is not the venue/ management team for you.

The only downsides of the venue are that there’s no getting ready area, but there is a neat boutique hotel down the street. I would also be mindful that since it is within a community/neighborhood, that there were outside people who walked through while we were finishing up pictures. That was annoying but nothing super major as most were respectful. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this venue mainly due to the in-house catering that is absolutely phenomenal.

We were worried about the size of the venue, but the wrap-around porch was huge and the lawn provided additional space for guests! Overall, we were happy with the staff, but the owner can be abrupt. He was rude to some of my vendors during setup and is very strict about the event ending on time/break down process. Jaime, Erin, and Peggy were all very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process.

Jaime, Erin, and Peggy made the entire process so easy and were so prompt about getting back to us if we had any questions. They are a FANTASTIC group. The Creek Club also provides the catering and the beautiful tables, chairs, bar, and glass wear. Which when it comes to wedding planning is a huge relief not having to search through multiple vendors for these items. When it comes the the catering… food is AMAZING! We have gotten so many compliments on how great the passed hors d’oeuvres and stations were. I wish it was a spot we could stop in and have dinner because I will forever miss our wedding meals. The staff they hired to serve us and our guests went above and beyond. They were so kind and did a fantastic job all through the night. Your guests will be in complete awe as they drive through the neighborhood in I’on down to your venue and their jaw will DROP to the floor when they are surrounded by the beautiful flowers, Spanish moss trees, and water. I want to relive our day over and over again and I will never be able to thank the Creek Club enough for providing such a dreamy venue. Please book here. The ceremony was beautiful and quiet, the neighbors were very respectful. All my guests were in awh of how beautiful the venue was. The food was fantastic and when food was served, my husband and I had food and drinks waiting for us at our table. I know the team was constantly cleaning up unused dishes, but I barely noticed them cleaning or setting up the desert table. It was all very seamless. I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married in scenic Charleston, SC. It was an added bonus that catering and bar services are through the venue and I did not need to rent any tables, chairs, glassware, or lighting. It was perfect!

e was unprofessional and rude from start. We were yelled at for playing music outside during set up. He was disrespectful and made it hard to have a good time. The neighborhood doesn’t like that events are hosted there so you are unable to unload at the venue. The lot near the venue is owned by the HOA so the dock and lot are unavailable to guest. The lot for guest parking is a very far walk from the venue and they only have one golf cart.

2. Pricing. Arguably one of the most affordable locations in Charleston, and with a view like that... It was worth every penny.
3. Ease of planning. Tables/chairs/bar/dining... everything was included. The venue also requires you to use their catering services, and I was all for not having to seek out another vendor. It was an added bonus that the food was incredible (many guests complimented the cuisine throughout the night). Shrimp and grits are a must... and so are the chicken corndogs for an app!
4. Staff. The staff were a delight, from Peggy, Erin, and Jaime they were fantastic to work with. They were very open with communication, quick to respond, and never hesitated to answer the same question multiple times! The staff the night of the wedding were FABULOUS. So professional, fun, and social. Truly had the southern charm I wanted my guests to experience. Not to mention, they had the entire wedding broken down and ready to pack boxes in our cars within 20 minutes of the Bride and Groom departure. My family did not have to do anything with set up or break down! It was so great that they were able to enjoy the night and not worry about working the event.

They KNOW weddings and were able to provide helpful insights in the planning process and with the catering tasting. The food was phenomenal. I think everyone said something to us about how incredible the hors d'oeuvres and main course were. Even a week later, we are still dreaming about how good it all tasted. They were so professional through all aspects of planning and the day of. Creek club was the perfect venue for our wedding but everything they do is so much more than just being the location!

y, but they quickly accommodated us by moving us inside the reception hall for an intimate (and dry) ceremony. The weather cleared up for the latter part of cocktail hour and reception, so all of our guests were still able to enjoy the beautiful deck and lawn space.
Our guests raved about the food. All of the appetizers came out hot and were delicious. The food stations were a big hit and everyone enjoyed the variety it offered. Huge perk to have great catering in-house.
All in all, I would highly recommend!!

We felt there were a few things that could have been done better by the staff like food at cocktail hour, or putting more cake at. At the end of the night we had plenty of cake left, but they did not place it all out. We had many guests state that they would have had more cake if they knew it was available. Also they are very efficient at the end of the night which can be a plus or negative as some of our stuff got misplaced since they were packing up so quickly. The food was very delicious and our guests are still raving about it. Overall we really enjoyed our wedding at creek club, but it is in a private neighborhood. Therefore there are people always on the dock/ walking through except during the 30 minutes for the ceremony that it’s closed off.

Your guests will take a short walk through the venue's garden to the gate where the space opens up to the most beautiful views: a water view on one side and a marsh view on the other. We received endless compliments on our venue and our pictures were absolutely gorgeous! Outside of the beauty of the venue, the staff is very responsive to emails and are willing to setup all necessary meetings, whether that is for tastings or meetings with your planner. When comparing this venue to other Charleston venues, it is almost entirely all inclusive. The venue comes with ceremony chairs, cocktail tables, reception tables, reception chairs, silverware, china, glassware, and banquet tables. The only thing you have to rent is linens and provide any other flowers/decor you desire. I do not regret having our wedding at the Creek Club at I'On at all!! Our wedding day was simply THE BEST!

The managers at the Creek Club were easy to reach and helpful in answering all of our questions. All of our guests loved the food, particularly the passed appetizers which were larger than I’ve seen at a wedding before! I must have called Jamie & Erin a hundred times with questions closer to our wedding date. They both were so kind, patient, and helpful. During our wedding, our event captain was also very nice and efficient. She even packed us to-go plates, which we appreciated so much, especially because as the bride and groom you don't get to enjoy the food you pay for! It rained the entire day of the wedding so it was a bummer that our guests could not see how beautiful the property was or that we didn't get to take our bridal photos in the lawn like I hoped for, other than that, our day was still more perfect than I could ever imagine!
