About this vendor
The Courtyard is a wedding venue nestled off the downtown square in Jefferson, IA. This newly renovated space provides a unique palette for your special day! With a little over 10,000 sq ft (inside and outside areas combined ), we can accommodate 225-250 guests.
We are anything but ordinary, as we have kept the rustic industrial feel by exposing a beautiful wooden barrel roof with black accented steel rafters. Soft touches have been sprinkled within, including an electric fireplace, couched conversational nooks, a chandelier entrance, and a bridal suite. Tables and beautifully repurposed wood furniture, and black metal chairs inhabit the lounge area. With outside catering accepted, we provide a kitchenette with a cooler and freezer space.
Our outside space provides a tranquil feel, either through the comfy, plush outdoor patio furniture or the warmth from a bar-height firepit table. Both have access to the sound of soothing rippling water from a 7-foot water fountain feature.
The Courtyard excels in helping plan, put together, set up, and support every event down to the last detail. We take pride in making your special day everything you dreamed it would be.

My husband and I got married 4/10/25 and had our reception 4/12/25. To say this venue and the owners are amazing would be an understatement! Greg and Shirley are very professional ...
and so friendly. Shirley will help you create your vision of the perfect wedding/reception and give suggestions on anything you aren’t sure of! Communication is nothing short of spectacular. Her response is quick, you can call her any time, and if you need to see the venue again or talk in person she will meet you there whenever is convenient for you! The service that comes with the venue will go above and beyond your needs. It’s the type of service that will be stress free. Tell them your needs and expectations and it will be met. The price of this venue is well worth it for everything that Greg and Shirley offer with renting it. You won’t be disappointed!
I was able to partake in a wedding on a Thursday with the reception on Saturday, and it was the most beautiful reception imaginable! Greg and Shirley truly made everyone feel so co...

ere attentive with our needs and our guests loved chatting with them about this new beautiful space!
We brought in very few decorations, because their theme is so natural and decorative that it spoke for itself! Their furniture and architecture is so lovely! We played a slideshow on their projector by easily hooking up a laptop, and our guests enjoyed using both the bar area as well as the banquet hall. I would highly recommend this venue for not only weddings but other events and definitely plan to use this space again in the future!
