There are not enough words to describe the Christina Kateri Band. From the first phone call to the wedding night to after, Christina has been the most professional and cheerleader for the wedding couple. She took the time to put together a set list for the night of music the couple wanted. We had fun ideas and wanted a high energy party and she delivered!! So many fun moments, but one that will not be forgotten is at the end of the night she did the last song and the crowd started to chant "one more song,one more song"!! They did and it was epic!! Our guests kept asking where did we find them??? We wish we could do it all over again.

Hire Christina and the CKB Band. They are, without a doubt, the most passionate band that we interviewed. Christina was the first vendor that I spoke with when we were beginning our wedding planning journey, and I should have hired her on the spot. However, I am glad that we interviewed approximately six other bands because we were able to see how much Christina and the CKB stands out amongst their peers. Christina checked in with me over the course of about six months; not in a ‘sales’ way, but in a genuine ‘how is the crazy world of wedding planning treating you?’ way. She is the only band that reached out post interview and made sure that all of our questions were answered thoroughly. She continuously proved that she and her band would go above and beyond for us for our wedding. We were able to see CKB perform live and quickly hired her afterwards. Over the course of about a year, we worked together to create our ceremony, cocktail, and reception music dreams come true. Christina was so patient with all of my questions and guided us towards selecting appropriate instruments for our day. Our wedding day music was absolutely perfect thanks to CKB and their professionalism and talent. We selected a Frank Sinatra / Rat Pack themed cocktail hour and first dance song and we are still blown away at how amazing the male vocalist was at performing. I was so impressed by how apparent it was that the members of CKB were truly having a great time performing. I cannot thank CKB enough for being such a fantastic part of our wedding day. I won’t miss wedding planning, but I will miss talking with Christina. Thank you for everything!

Christina Kateri developed a deep love of singing at an early age. Having sung in nearly 100 weddings by 30, she lovingly became known as "The Wedding Singer" in her community. After touring internationally with Up With People, graduating with honors from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and working in marketing for Warner Bros., Christina moved back to "The Mitten" to continue pursuing her dream of being a professional musician. She has played at hundreds of events over the years and has never felt more fulfilled than when performing with her ensemble, The Christina Kateri Band (CKB)!

e the most special music experience from the very first conversation. Her thoughtfulness and professionalism is only second to her amazing talent. I am a musician, my husband is a musician, we have lots of musician friends - so the quality of the music and music experience was of great importance (and scrutiny!). She surpassed even our expectations - the vocals, the instruments, the personalization - everything was top notch. She handled all of the sound for the wedding - and no detail was missed. The mics, speakers, emcee - all spot on. And the music for the ceremony (keys), the cocktail hours (trio of Motown where she jumped in on some great vocals, too), and the reception (keep everyone dancing!) were just the best thing we could have imagined.

From her expansive set list to her flexibility with song selection, this amazing band is the total package. Christina was able to set the proper mood / tone for all of the different elements of our special day and night. She has a feel for what songs need to be played and at the right time. A lot of bands seem to resort to playing whatever they want or what is comfortable for them...not necessarily what is best for the crowd or moment. This is what I believe separates this band. This is a skill not many bands have. You have to be willing to take the time to know your audience, the couples taste, and be able to communicate to the crowd as well. The dance floor was packed all night!
Anyone that hires Christina and her band will not be disappointed. Music is such an important part of a wedding day / night from both a personal and entertainment standpoint...they are worth every cent.

On the big day, everything went perfectly. The Christina Kateri Band delivered! This included learning and performing several new songs at our request. They also accommodated our desire to include some acapella singing led by members of the wedding party.

The band is FANTASTIC! All night long we heard wonderful comments about the band. They are extremely talented and played a variety of music that kept the guests dancing all night long. When the band ended the guests shouted "one more song"! We did not want the band to end and they sang one more song!
For the son/mother dance we selected the song "Sweet Child O' Mine, Sheryl Crow version. The band sounded absolutely incredible! Christina has a beautiful voice! Throughout our son & daughter-in-law's wedding planning they kept telling us Christina was the best to work with. Thank you for making their wedding so special. My husband begged for a band, and we actually went and saw SEVERAL very well known wedding bands in Michigan and then the last band we saw was The Christina Kateri Band. She was super warm and welcoming when we met her, and on top of that the band sounded great. We hired them for our wedding, and guess what? The BEST DECISION. I am so thankful we went with a band for our wedding and especially Christinas. She was super responsive to us, and organized and on top of it all throughout the wedding planning process. I trusted she wanted to make me a happy bride. The day of our wedding she met with my brother who sings at every family wedding "We Didn't Start the Fire" and did a sound check with him. Which I appreciated. The cocktail hour music was great and the guests loved it. But most of all, the reception was a blast! Our guests danced all night long and my husband did, who truly isn't the dancer out of us. As for feeling the music, and getting down with my bridal party and fam, it definitely happened. They were so great, a couple at our wedding hired them for theirs. Very happy with our decision, and this is coming from a bride who wanted a DJ, and also after seeing other bands and researching. What made her performance even more incredible was how perfectly Christina tailored every song to our tastes. She works really hard to get to know you and your partner’s music preferences and then seamlessly integrates them into the night while also acutely reading the crowd and playing music that keeps everyone on the dance floor. We got so many complements on the night of the wedding about how wonderful Christina was with her stunning voice and how amazing the band was as a whole. It is something we are all still talking about months later! I cannot recommend them enough! Christina feels like a close friend now, and I recommend her to everyone I can.

ristina was a true delight to work with. Not only did she communicate extremely well throughout the entire process, she checked in with us multiple times throughout planning to ensure that we were happy with how everything was proceeding. We had to re-plan our wedding about 4 months out (thanks, Covid!), and she was one of the few vendors that was really flexible with how we could proceed. Honestly, just a great mix of professional, yet also very personable while helping to plan a huge part of our special day!
Wedding and reception: The CK Band was phenomenal! From the first dance to the last song, they did a great job crafting a really personal set list and crushed every single song. They were able to being a ton of positive, fun energy to a small (~40 people) wedding, so I could only imagine how much they'd blow the metaphorical roof off with a bigger event. Having them play our reception and wedding was one of the easiest and best decisions we made during the whole process! They were truly fantastic from beginning to end!

The Christina Kateri band even learned a few songs that were new to them, just for our special day. Furthermore, the band was very professional and provided a good atmosphere. Logistically, they set up all the audio for our outdoor venue (including emcee and cocktail hour). The cocktail hour music, with violin and piano, was awesome. Christina and her band kept the dance floor busy all night. I highly recommend this band and would certainly choose them again.

Christina and her band exceeded any expectations I had for the reception. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but the energy herself and the band brought that night was electric. We had people on the dance floor from the time they started playing until the very last song. They truly brought an element to our wedding that I'll never forget and always be grateful for. One of the highlights on our wedding night was a member of her band that played the fiddle. He absolutely killed it and was amazing to watch.
