“We had the most perfect wedding reception and stay. The place is beautiful and spacious. The ability and tools provided to move the furniture was very thoughtful and accommodating. I loved the separated temperature control between the upstairs, downstairs, and bathrooms. The electric lock pads on the bedrooms added comfortable secure privacy while hosting an event. Anytime we had questions the host responded quickly and efficiently. Checking in and out was easy, we would definitely come back.”

We had an absolutely wonderful experience hosting our wedding at The Chapel! We had over 75 guests and chose to have an open-house-style reception, and the venue was absolutely perfect for our celebration. The space was beautiful, welcoming, and everything we could have hoped for. We received compliments from every guest on how beautiful the venue was, which made our experience even more special. Our wedding party also stayed overnight in the bedrooms, and everyone loved the accommodations. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and perfect for spending time together and making the most of our wedding weekend. Tony was great to work with, and we are so grateful to have chosen The Chapel for such an important milestone in our lives. We would 100% recommend both hosting an event here and booking an overnight stay. We loved our experience so much that we already plan to use The Chapel again for future life events. If you are considering this venue, we cannot recommend it enough!

Originally constructed in 1934 as South Dakota’s first purpose-built synagogue, The Chapel has been thoughtfully restored while preserving the character that makes the building so special. Original stained glass, restored hardwood floors, exposed rafters and arched windows create a warm, intimate setting filled with history. Located near downtown Sioux Falls, The Chapel is within walking distance of hotels, restaurants and entertainment, while offering the convenience of onsite parking. A Wedding Weekend That’s Yours The Chapel was designed for more than just the ceremony. Host your rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, gift opening and overnight stay all in one place. Instead of constantly moving from one location to another, you can settle in and enjoy the weekend with the people who matter most. The main gathering space offers flexible layouts for ceremonies, dinners and receptions, along with a full kitchen and serving area. Tables and chairs are available onsite, and you're welcome to bring the caterer, photographer, florist and other vendors that fit your vision. Open food and beverage options give you even more freedom to make the celebration your own. Stay Together When the celebration winds down, your closest family and friends don't have to leave. The Chapel sleeps up to 10 guests and features four private king bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchenette and a family room with additional sleeping space. And because The Chapel hosts one gathering at a time, the property is yours to enjoy privately throughout your stay. to get ready onsite, how quickly we could change the space from a ceremony layout to being able to welcome additional guests, and loved having the space for our full celebration weekend. Our out of town family members were even able to stay there with the 4 lower level bedrooms! There was plenty of parking, and both the venue and outdoor space made for beautiful pictures (lighting was wonderful!) I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for a similar experience - definitely one of a kind in Sioux Falls!
