The Chapel Athens was truly a remarkable venue to have my wedding at. There are so many things to brag about, but what stuck out to me the most was how timeless and charming the ch...
apel looked, how delicious the food was, and how kind and attentive the waitresses were to our guest. I am a sucker for the proper blend of old and new interior design and their venue had those feels. My husband and I are also foodies, so wedding food that is actually delicious was a must and they did not disappoint. Speaking of wedding food, if I had any cons, it would have to be two things. First, my husband and I had sat our hors d’oeuvres down while taking pictures, and they were thrown away. It was really disappointing because it was our own wedding and we did not get to enjoy them. Second, at least seven of our guest did not attend, and we did not receive all of their plates packed up, even though we paid a pretty penny for each and every one of them. We should have received the food we payed for. So, I think they could be more considerate in relation to making sure the bride and groom are properly compensated in relation to food. Other than that, my husband and I, as well as our guest, were very impressed with the venue experience. We recommend!
We could not have asked for a better experience with The Chapel Athens! From the very beginning, Calley was so kind, helpful, communicative, and accommodating throughout the entire...
planning process. The Chapel itself is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect setting for our wedding day.
Everything was truly spectacular, from the food and drinks to the staff and service. Every detail we had planned was fully executed, and everything felt so seamless on the wedding day. The team made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy every moment instead of worrying about the details. We are so grateful we chose The Chapel Athens for our wedding. It will always hold such a special place in our hearts, and we would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful and memorable wedding venue!
Our wedding reception at The Chapel Athens was absolutely perfect! We had eloped in Italy a month before, and this was our opportunity to celebrate with all of our family and frien...
ds. It couldn't have been a more wonderful day.
Our vision was to bring a touch of Italy to Athens by incorporating an Italian-inspired feel through the décor, colors, and overall atmosphere. From start to finish, our team worked together seamlessly to bring that vision to life. Everything came together even more beautifully than we imagined, and we truly felt like everyone was invested in making our celebration special.
One of the biggest highlights was the food. Our guests are still talking about it! We received so many compliments throughout the night about how incredible everything tasted, and people are still raving about it weeks later. The bar service was equally amazing—the drinks were always flowing, and the bar team worked with us to customize the menu to fit exactly what we wanted. They made the entire experience feel so personal and ensured our guests were well taken care of all evening.
What we appreciated most was the amazing staff. They handled every detail behind the scenes so we could simply enjoy the day and spend time with the people we love. Having a team that took care of everything allowed us to be fully present and soak in every moment without worrying about the logistics.
If you're looking for a beautiful venue with an incredible team, we can't recommend The Chapel Athens enough. They made our wedding celebration everything we dreamed it would be and more!
The Chapel Athens is an amazing venue for any event. I had my wedding at The Chapel in June 2026. From our first tour with Maddie to leaving in our trolley at the end of the recept...
ion, everything exceeded our expectations. We were initially drawn to The Chapel by its charm and curb appeal. We had previously attended a wedding at the sister venue Georgian Hall (also a great venue!) and talked about how amazing the food was even a year later. When we found out The Chapel was part of the same group, we knew that was our venue. Now after our wedding so many guests have raved about the venue, the staff and the amazing food and drinks. One of my favorite things about The Chapel is that you have the option to have everything done in house, from food/drinks to linens to flowers and planning services. I would recommend The Chapel Athens to anyone planning a wedding or any other event!
Maddie and her most AMAZING team was incredible! This venue is beautiful but what makes it is the people inside. I wish I could thank every single person who helped make our event;...
A cocktail hour, dinner and welcome party reception absolutely perfect! They had to transform our cocktail party and move it inside due to thunder and you would have never known it! I cannot speak more highly of them, and I am so thankful and grateful to this most amazing TEAM!! A perfect 10! THANK YOU!

My guest were coming up to me the whole night complimenting how wonderful the food was…best they’ve ever had at a wedding!! And the venue is just gorgeous!! Can’t give enough praise for The Chapel!!!
The Chapel Athens exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding. Not only is the venue stunning, but the staff is incredible as well.
Calley was in constant communication with...
us to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams, and she never hesitated to answer any of our questions or make us feel at ease during the planning process.
I also feel the need to share that our guests could not stop talking about the food. So many guests said “this is the best wedding food I’ve ever had.”, and they’re still talking about it weeks later! It was truly delicious.
If you’re on the fence about choosing to have your wedding at the Chapel, do it. You will not regret it!

ng. As the host of the event we got a lot of positive feedback about the waitstaff. They were super attentive and very pleasant to the guests. Our daughter is having her rehearsal dinner there soon. That’s how much we loved it. The space is just beautiful and 100% recommendations for any celebrations!
Seamless planning and execution! The Chapel makes it soooo easy with a single contact for venue, food, linens, etc.. The food was amazing and we continue to get so many compliments...

dows. From the venue to the staff, our experience was wonderful. Calley was there for us through the entire process and was very responsive and helpful during our planning as well as "behind the scenes" day-of the wedding. Our guests adored the venue and still talk about how good the food and drinks were. We felt like the team at The Chapel went above and beyond to make our day special.
We held our wedding reception at The Chapel Athens in June, and we are SO glad that we picked them! The venue was perfect for us: It’s a gorgeous setting within walking distance to...
all of downtown Athens, and we loved the indoor-outdoor ability of the space. We set up a tent in the outside courtyard, and guests enjoyed hanging out there in addition to the indoor space. The original church ceiling is beautiful and made for excellent acoustics for our band. One of the main feedback that we received from our guests was that they loved the food- multiple people told us that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! Meagan and her team made the night seamless- the buffet was efficient and quick, and nobody had to wait for a drink at the bar. If possible, Meagan was able to honor all of our extra requests. We would absolutely choose The Chapel Athens over and over again! Thank you for making the reception of our dreams!
The Chapel Athens is seriously the BEST venue to have your wedding reception at! I have actually been an employee at Athens Food Group (The Chapel Athens + Georgian Hall) for almos...
t 3 years now, and I can say without a doubt our staff is the best! Working behind the scenes, I can vouch for everything we do to prepare for each individual event and the effort that all of the staff members put into making the experience incredible for guests. That is why without a second thought trusted The Chapel Athens staff to give us the best experience ever! Meg went above and beyond for us during every step of the planning process and ensured every single part of our wedding went smoothly. I truly cannot recommend all of the managers at The Chapel Athens enough! Having worked with all of them, you are always in good hands! The food and specialty cocktails were absolutely incredible, and many of our guests were sure to tell us how great everything was! The servers and bartenders are all wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed!
The team at the Chapel Athens was highly professional and helped tremendously through the whole process. Venue is beautiful. Highly recommend!!
I wish there were more stars to rate The Chapel Athens, I'd give them 10!
My daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception at The Chapel on 5/18/24. The evening was nothing ...
short of magical. Maddie was excellent to work with as we planned this special day. Maddie and her staff went above and beyond during the reception. In fact, Lindsey sought out my husband and I (who were busy greeting guests) to make sure we were eating and taken care of. I'll never forget that.
Our guests raved about the venue, the service, the staff, the ambiance, and the FOOD! Everyone had the best time.
We are still re-living the experience every day and cannot thank The Chapel team enough. You helped to make that Saturday night the very best of "Athens hospitality" and a truly memorable experience for the bride, groom, family members and friends.
We had my sons rehearsal dinner at The Chapel on May 31, 2024 and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is bright and welcoming with an outside space for the bar or buffet and an up...
stairs mezzanine too. There a tons of ways to decorate the space too. Everything was just the way I wanted it. The coordinator Meagan was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. This was especially important because I was doing all the planning from out of town. The food was wonderful. Everyone commented on it. The staff was attentive but yet not in the way. They made everything easy and very special. I can’t recommend this venue enough.

ening! The venue is beautiful, and the food was delicious (several guests spoke to me about how good the food was,) but what I truly appreciated, as the mother of the groom who was planning this event, was Maddie's patient help throughout the process. She must have answered a million questions, always in a friendly and kind manner, and she thought of important details that I would NEVER have considered, but which were important! I was so grateful to have her help! I fully recommend The Chapel Athens and its staff!

effortless. Having food and rentals included in the price was so helpful with a short timeline. The food was OUTSTANDING and our guests raved about it. The room flip was very quick and efficient. The whole team made our day feel so perfect and effortless. Maddie McCullough was our venue manager and answered all of our questions with clarity and kindness. We would get married there all over again!!!

The food was absolutely amazing, and there are plenty of great options to choose from. They were also great with recommending diffent wedding day planners, photographers, bands, and other vendors who they have had great experiences with in the best. 10/10 recommend.

y made an 11th-hour suggestion that ended up saving us several thousand dollars. The food was outstanding and something a lot of our guests commented on during the receptions and in the following days. We communicated to Maddie several specific, important components of our wedding ceremony and reception. She and her team understood the gravity of it and executed it flawlessly. We cannot endorse this venue enough. Book it now!

e wedding day. On the wedding day, their amazing staff had everything under control. When a room flip is involved, it's nice to know there are enough hands on deck to get the job done. The venue itself is stunning. Some of my favorite features are: the natural light, the uniquely detailed ceiling, and the prime location. Would work with this venue again in a heartbeat! 10/10 recommend!

The venue was gorgeous and very well laid out for mingling and socializing during the cocktail hour.
The courteous waitstaff were circulating delicious hors d’oeuvres continually and the efficient bar staff never had a line at either bar.
The main course set up as stations was a great idea that kept long lines from forming.
Food ( especially my favorite, the tenderloin) was superb !
The dj kept the dance floor packed which is the sign of a great party!!
All and all….. a terrific time

nded up selected the Chapel for our rehearsal dinner and it could not have been more perfect! With it being a new site/the project was still in development when we booked, their team knew exactly how to ensure timelines/plans/decor/etc would look and come together to make us feel confident in how our rehearsal dinner would come to life. Maddie was a fantastic partner in the food tasting/selection, seating timelines and flow of the night, planning to overall dinner atmosphere (picking out linens, recommendations on decor, etc) - the night went SO smoothly and turned out better than i could have ever imagined!! The space is stunning with its natural beautiful architecture, and makes for a perfect wedding weekend venue. Highly recommend Maddie, Lindsey and the whole team - and highly recommend The Chapel space!!!!

with being the first wedding ceremony there. Everyone involved on the day of was so nice and worked so well together with flipping the room and all aspects of setting up. There is no way the food could’ve been bad considering the catering group, but that also more than exceeded expectations. Beautiful venue and beautiful experience. Thank you all so much!

ble vision cast by Lindsey and Maddie. Their team created the most magical wedding venue in downtown Athens, GA-- a little classic, a little modern- the perfect amount of character to accommodate any type and size of wedding. They kept us up to date throughout the whole process. Planning a wedding in a brand new space may seem daunting, but Lindsey and Maddie pulled it off brilliantly without any hitches. It was so easy to trust them throughout the process. It was beautiful and flawless. Their attention to detail and style is unmatched. From the upstairs bar area to the transitional outdoor area with heaters (great for a January wedding!!) to the mixture of new and original features, we were completely in awe. Our family and friends have been so incredibly complimentary of the staff, the venue, and everything with it. It was so perfect. We are so honored to have been the first wedding, and we cannot wait to see the chapel continue to grow and shine!
