Jessica, the wedding specialist we worked with throughout the process and on the day of, was phenomenal and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order and met our expectations (and really beyond!) -- from display tables and food, to everything in between that made our wedding celebrations so wonderful. Cocktail hour in the main lobby area was perfect for gathering, and our reception was absolutely perfect in the ballrooms. The bridal party had our own hospitality room across from the ballroom with beverages and appetizers, and dedicated staff looking after us. My husband and I had staff looking after us directly all evening, which was so appreciated!!! The food was so delicious -- all of our guests were raving about it the whole night and into the following day! We had carving stations and the buffet, which provided the perfect array of options for everyone. With many guests traveling from out of town to celebrate with us, having lodging on site (and not having to worry too much about folks driving after partying) was very important to us. The hotel staff was lovely and the rooms were so comfortable and clean! We even had guests becoming regulars at the connected O'Reilly's over the weekend (which was convenient for late night drinks, breakfast, happy hour...). My husband and I highly recommend the Central Hotel Harrisburg to anyone in the Harrisburg area looking for a gorgeous venue, with top tier staff and service, especially if you have guests coming in from out of town! We could not have asked for a more beautiful and memorable wedding weekend!

From her prompt email responses to answering the many questions I had during the planning process, Jessica always had great insight. We cannot thank her enough for what she did for us during the planning process but especially on the wedding day. She assembled centerpieces and the very large cookie display. She made the vision come to life perfectly. Her main goal was to make sure we had the best experience and were stress free. She most certainly delivered!! We had rave reviews from our guests all night long, complimenting the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere.

Her patience, her communication, and professionalism was something we truly appreciated because we had people coming from all over and being that we are Africans and do things a bit differently, she made sure to be very accommodative of our wants and needs as well. Our Guests enjoyed how perfectly planned everything was and we still have our family and friends talking about how great our wedding was till this day. Mike, Jessica and the banquet staff did an amazing job setting up and decorating the ballroom. Everything was done perfectly. We were beyond pleased with the food both at cocktail hour and dinner. Our guest raved about their meals. Our maitre d Desmond was kind, professional and attentive. He made sure we had anything we needed all evening. You will not regret The Best Western for your wedding venue!

Our guests RAVED about the food, drinks, atmosphere and overall experience they had at The Central Hotel. Having cocktail hour in the lobby worked out perfectly and gave our guests a chance to run up to their rooms and change shoes which was a great bonus! When it came to decorating, the venue itself was so beautiful by itself that there wasn't a ton of florals or decorations that needed to be added to make it look amazing. All our guests talked about how professional the staff were when it came to dinner service too! We had one guest who checked in, went to her room, and felt that she was farther than she would like to be from their room. She went to the front desk and simply asked if there was a quicker way to get to her room. The man working the front desk said "let me move you closer so you don't have to walk as far to your room, it will be no trouble at all!" We were all so happy with the hospitality from everyone and just the all around professionalism. I hope one of our friends get married there because the next time we're back won't be soon enough! g to hang out with some of your friends! I had my wedding reception here in Aug, 2023. EVERY SINGLE interaction that I had with all employees at this hotel was fantastic! Our wedding director, Jessica Dickey, was unparalled in both professionalism and courtesy. She was an absolute gem to work with and really listened to the ideas that my husband and I had and did her best to make them become a reality. Jessica was diligent about reminding us when information was due to her and when our payments were due. She would email in advance to let us know that a payment was due and to confirm how we wanted to pay. The food was scrumptious! We chose the buffet option and had chicken marsala, seasoned salmon, and cheese manicotti. Every single person that mentioned the meal told us how delicious the food was. We all know that this is a major feat to be able to please a larger crowd!! Highly recommend the duchess potatoes as one of the side options. The service was wonderful! We had a small room during the cocktail hour for the bridal party. It had its own small buffet of hot and cold appetizers (they sent the leftovers to our room and they made for a delicious midnight snack!). The drink options were also varied (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Our guests said that the cocktail hour was awesome! The value we got for the amount that we paid was unbelieveable! Some other hotels had pricing where you would only receive a certain amount of hor d'ourves, you had to pay extra for a bridal room, pay to have an onsite coordinator, etc.... This hotel had very competitive pricing and no hidden charges. Everyone was incredibly gracious and kind! The ballroom was gorgeous! The lighting was perfect. We had nice candles on all our tables. Perfect set up based on our requests. Again, DO NOT overlook this hotel. Go in and walk around and meet with people. We are JUST THRILLED with how perfect our wedding reception was!

As I looked over and compared costs between various local venues, the Best Western offered us the best option for an affordable and elegant wedding. Because it is a full service hotel that is used to big events we knew they would handle the reception without a hitch. When we met with Jessica Dickey we knew she would be an excellent wedding coordinator from the start. She is knowledgeable, energetic, and has loads of people skills. The day of the event I found that Jessica had decorated the room beautifully. I had put a lot of thought into how we wanted it to look, but our time line meant I couldn't be there in person while the reception venue was being set-up. No worries, Jessica did a marvelous job. We were so glad that the Best Western had a gorgeous space for our cocktail hour too. It made our guests feel relaxed and gave them a chance to catch up as many hadn't seen each other for quite a while due to the pandemic. Jessica worked with our chosen venues to ensure the day ran smoothly. The Best Western also recommended to us our cake baker and florist which helped us greatly. The food was delicious and the wine, beer and open bar was a hit with our guests. The service was excellent. They handled everything well. I would highly recommend the Best Western Premier. Our daughter's wedding was everything we hoped it would be thanks to the professionalism and quality service of their entire staff.

we were hooked instantly. The staff was phenomenal, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere was gorgeous. There aren't enough emotions I can put into this to describe my thankfulness. Jessica and her team were incredible. She worked with us and listened to everything we had envisioned and made it come to life. I cannot put it into words. Perfection. Our sweetheart table was being served by Jonathan Martinez and all I can say is this man was THE man. He was funny, kind, personable and on top of his game. I tried to talk him into coming to the dance floor, but he kept it professional, although I think he would have been the center of attention. He was the sweetest server I've ever met. The other servers were amazing too, but I didn't get much time to talk with them. Jonathan is a rockstar! Our bartender for the evening (I feel awful I can't remember his name) was just as amazing as Jonathan. Not only was he super fun and enjoyed the guests and music, he was also our server the next morning for breakfast and my little group just adored him. The hotel better keep him around for the rest of forever because there aren't many like him anymore.

We were able to pay a small amount extra to have the BW do all the decorating and they did an amazing job. The room and all the tables looked great. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal (we did the plated dinner) and the late night snacks. The ballroom is very large and you can pay for the chair covers through the hotel which is very convenient. The basic linens are included and they have preferred vendors with the hotel putting money towards centerpieces and the cake. The BW made planning super easy and I 100% recommend them.

The wait staff was super friendly and even packed everything up for us at the end of the night so we were able to spend more time with family and friends. The beef medallions with sauce were so tender and flavorful. The vegetables were crisp, and not overcooked. The rice was perfect and the Alfredo sauce for the pasta was awesome. The grilled chicken turned out a bit dry, but I can't say I've had grilled chicken made in bulk amounts that wasn't. Maybe it's just not a great option when feeding 100+ people. Other than that, every single thing was perfect from decor to ambience and the catering team's assistance throughout the night. I'd definitely recommend this place to make your celebration dreams come to life!

Also, the staff who helped during the wedding ceremony and reception were fantastic. Each seemed, as did Jessica, to be sincerely interested in making me happy that day by making sure everything was occurring just as I wanted. We chose a hotel venue for our reception due to the significant number of our-of-town guests and we are so glad we chose BW. The hotel is centrally located to a number of attractions, which our guests took full advantage of all weekend, but most importantly, enjoyed the grounds of the resort feel of this hotel. O’Reillys, the attached Irish pub was the site of many bites and pints all weekend, including an impromptu wedding after-party and the meeting point for breakfast/lunch the following day.

It was great to have a close bar to hang out with our guests after the reception ended and a convenient place for guests to eat.

We are a Maryland couple but couldn't find exactly what we wanted here in Baltimore. We also couldn't find something that would fit our budget as well. During a late night search I stumbled across The Central and I was hooked. The hotel itself if is amazing. Indoor pool, restaurant/bar on site, complimentary water/coffee/tea in the lobby. Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking - and close to shopping (in case you forget something) You couldn't ask for anything more. We were treated like royalty and I thank Jessica and the staff for that. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event at The Central. You know a place is awesome when the men came up to me and said "wow I love this place. everything is in one location and we are so full from the amazing food that we couldn't even eat cake!" You won't go wrong with hosting your wedding or event at The Central.

ook a hotel for the reception. We decided to go with the Best Western because of the per person price and because of the nice courtyard area where they have the cocktail hour. Other hotels were charging more for buffet and the full premium bar. Their price was in our budget. Plus their rooms are nicer! In the beginning of our planning we found out that Erica was leaving and her role would be taken over by Jessica. This was a smooth transition, Jessica picked up where Erica left off with our planning. The package that they offer includes an allowance for the cake and centerpieces. We used their suggested vendors and they were able to keep us with in our allowance budget. Their vendors work directly with Jessica to make sure our vision came to light and that everything was delivered and in place the day of the wedding. (Sweet Confections for cake, Pamela's Flowers) Jessica was very responsive with all of my questions and kept me up to date on timelines and necessary meetings with her and her team. She made herself available over my lunch breaks to meet and talk about planning, room set up, etc. We dropped off all of the wedding décor in tubs, with pictures of how we wanted them laid out. They made our vision come to life! Laid out perfectly how we pictured it! We decided to do a buffet dinner. I felt it was a good selection of food for our large group of 100 people. We met with Jessica and one of the catering gals to do a food tasting, two weeks before. They were able to swap out prime rib for roast beef and made some other changes that we requested. The guests loved the food and raved about the crab cake apps and the seafood Newburg. The day of the reception was a breeze. The vendors were all working with Jessica to make sure everything stayed on track. We got a room included with our package. They make sure your bags get delivered, they put left over food/cake in the room fridge for later and you get breakfast in the morning. It was a pleasure to work with Jessica and glad she was there to help us plan along the way. It was a stress free reception and that is how you want it! Thank you Best Western Central Hotel for making our reception a huge success!
