The Catered Affair

tive to the smallest details, and made the day itself an absolute breeze. Everything went smoothly, and whenever something came up, Maddy was always quick and creative to help us get to a resolution. We also want to shout-out Elaine, Maris, and Melinda who all helped in different ways to make our event special. The exceptional service was not just limited to planning, but also down to the food. The food was delicious and super customizable for whatever we wanted. I cannot speak highly enough of the service that was provided to us for our big day!

coordinator, organized catering and the tasting, served as our venue point person for vendors, and coordinated equipment rentals. The food was AMAZING - from the cocktail hour bites to the sit-down courses to the cake and late night snacks, they truly outdid themselves. Huge portions and very high-quality - many of our guests specifically said they were impressed by how much food kept coming out and how it was the best wedding food they've had. The staff were all incredibly professional and from our vantage point the evening was absolutely seamless. Highly recommend working with TCA!!!

!). Upon arrival to their main office, we had an "almost newlyweds" spot reserved right out front. Dish after dish that came out for us to try was so good, it was hard to choose what to not include - we loved it all! TCA was open to our feedback, and customized one of their dishes to exactly what our vision was. They also went off menu, offering pirogies to speak to my polish heritage. A month before the wedding we did a walkthrough with all vendor teams at my venue. Their expertise & professionalism shined. The TCA team asked questions that I never even would have ever thought of, and all the while further strengthening our trust and decision in them. Come wedding day, all we can say is WOW. The food was most spectacular, even better than the tasting! Each piece from the passed bite, to the charcuterie, to the plated dishes and the hand made desserts, they were each a true work of art. It was all beautiful and so tasty. Our guests are still raving about it! The open faced tenderloin gave us a bit of nerves in how it would come out temperature wise - IT WAS PERFECT. Our only regret - we didn't need to rent those steak knives, it cut like butter! You cannot go wrong in enlisting the TCA team on your event journey. They are THE BEST and should you choose, you will be so grateful that you hired them! THANK YOU TCA Team, we will never forget this. :) Photos by Lovely Valentine Photography

ell through the cracks. She was so supportive of our vision for the wedding and responsive to our questions. And she was a total delight to speak with every time we met. The day of, everything ran so smoothly. The food tasted even better than it had at our tasting! We received so many compliments about the quality and variety of the dishes. We were also really happy with the design of the venue. TCA provided great guidance as we reached design decisions and - just like with the food - it all looked even better the day of than we had imagined. We cannot thank TCA enough, or recommend them more highly.

and Sydney never made me feel like I was asking for too much or less of a priority. I felt like TCA provided SO many things like food tasting, customizations, rentals that I didn't need 100 separate vendors. The day of went smoothly, they set everything up so beautifully (more than I could've imagined), and everyone RAVED about the food. Thank you again for going above and beyond!!

he last person left the wedding. They were deeply involved along every step of the planning process and were committed to ensuring that everything went perfectly. A wedding can be extremely stressful and we never felt alone - ever! On the wedding night, both Maddy and Amanda directed every aspect of the evening. This entailed organizing the wedding processional, transitioning the guests to/from the various rooms, emceeing the event and generally overseeing all of the staff. In summary, the wedding night was an enormous success and a night everyone will certainly remember. It may be cliche to say we couldn't have done it without The Catered Affair, but honestly we don't think we could have. It truly was a great experience and we would recommend them without hesitation.

to being very well organized, responsive, and helpful, they are warm, friendly, and people you genuinely want to be around. On the night of the wedding, Bryanne made sure we got through everything we wanted to do while also being flexible if we wanted to spend more time on certain things. She made the night go by effortlessly, and if there were any hiccups, we didn't know about them! Also a special shout-out to our wedding attendant, Melinda, who was incredible throughout the night and made sure we always had a food or drink ready whenever! Couldn't recommend this team more!

of us on the day, TCA exceeded all of our expectations. Our guests all commented on the high quality of the food , and TCA's ability to customize the menu for every dietary restriction ( they even had delicious gf bread rolls for our guests with celiac). This is a professional and well oiled machine that still feels personal and will go above and beyond for their guests.

ife. Also the food was incredible. I've been to so many weddings where the food was either just ok or awful but the catered affair food was truly the best of the best/top notch quality. I almost fell walking down the aisle but caught myself & I looked back and Amanda gave me the thumbs up and just really knew how to relax me. I also forgot something at my house ~45 mins away from the venue and she offered to drive to my house the night before our wedding to go pick up what I forgot! At the end of the night she even wheeled back everything from the bridal suite at the Libary to our hotel at like 1 AM. Couldn't recommend the catered affair, Amanda, Megan & the rest of their team more!!

o game time execution, The Catered Affair was a huge part in making our wedding everything we could have ever hoped for. The Catered Affair will take all of the necessary steps to make sure your event runs seamlessly. They are true professionals. The food and bar at our wedding were unheard of. From the tasting event to the day of, TCA knocked it out of the park. Our guests are RAVING!! If you have the opportunity to have them on your team, they are a MUST. Still reliving everything in our heads over and over again!!! Truly our dream wedding at the BPL!!

of my life, and the venue and catering company was a huge part of why it was so successful. At first I was a little hesitant about TCA because they were a catering company that automatically came with the venue, but I am so happy to have worked with them. Everything was exceptional; the food was the most surprising thing, as wedding food is usually "fine" but the food that TCA prepared for our wedding was something basically every guest commented on as exceeding their expectations. The coordinator that worked with us was very professional and made the planning process as simple as possible while also being very mindful of our vision; furthermore, the day of the wedding, the coordinator (Amanda) was EXTREMELY helpful, making sure we ate and also kept track of where we needed to be and when. This venue and catering company is a bit expensive, but if you are able to swing it financially, I think the value is there, and we could not be happier with how the day ultimately turned out. Highly recommend!

d. The BPL is a gorgeous venue which offers classic, beautiful spaces in which to celebrate. Amanda Gallagher was a delight to work with from start to finish. She and theTCA team did a magnificent job of bringing our hopes for the evening to fruition. I can't recommend them highly enough.

elicious. Our guests had a fabulous time. And Amanda and the TCA team made it all happen seamlessly. Wedding planning can be stressful, especially when I nor the bride was local to the venue. Amanda kept everything organized and kept us on time. But most of all, she made the process fun--from the tasting to the rehearsal to directing the wedding ceremony, I could not have imagined a better person or team to work with.

at. STRONGLY recommend TCA to everyone.

d be a challenge. Immediately, the menu tasting we had with TCA put us all at ease. Not only was the food delicious, but the team was really receptive to feedback and seemed truly happy to adjust details to our preferences. The menu they made for us was fantastic and really felt like a reflection of our lives and families. Some extra details: it was important to my dad that he be able to cook something for our guests, and TCA was happy to plate and serve his dish as one of the appetizers. Plus, my parents hired a guest chef/ pittmaster from Texas to smoke slow-cooked barbeque in honor of my Texan husband and new in-laws. I thought TCA might be put off or insulted, but they really seemed excited to have the opportunity to learn from him and everything worked together beautifully. I've honestly had friends say they are still dreaming about the food at our wedding!

can’t think of a single thing we would change. Faith and her team were spectacular. From the big things to the very little things, like coming out of the ceremony to our favorite drinks waiting for us, the whole night felt like magic :) And the FOOD! People have not stopped raving about the appetizers and the steak and the chicken and the vegetarian option and the desserts- literally everything has gotten many, many compliments. TCA is a seasoned and professional catering service who takes your guests' experience seriously. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

of the event, and the service and food was phenomenal. I would recommend them for any event.

ue to hear rave reviews from our family and friends who were at our wedding, and we ourselves can’t stop talking about every meal we had that night. Everything from the salads, to desserts, to our specialty cocktails was superb. We would absolutely recommend working with The Catered Affair for your Boston area wedding or event!

s said how it was the best catered food they ever had and was on par with fine dining in the city. When my mom was unable to attend the group tasting, Amanda accommodated a second tasting on a weekend for us and also helped us customize our menu and signature cocktails (which our guests have not stopped raving about). Amanda and her team were so professional and great to work with. I would recommend TCA and the Library to anyone and hope to have an excuse to use them again for another event!!

say enough about how helpful this team was throughout the entire wedding process! They provided a preferred vendor list, coordinated with the rental company, organized the day-of timeline with each vendor, created an incredible menu, and ensured our wedding day went perfectly! Amy and Kelly had incredible attention to detail and helped our wedding vision come together. On top of all of the event coordination, TCA truly delivered EXCEPTIONAL food! We had six incredible passed apps, a mezze spread, signature cocktails, a two-course main meal, and late night snacks. TCA thought of everything; they even assigned a dedicated server to us to make sure we got to try every food item and always had a drink in hand! We would highly recommend TCA for any event!

obal pandemic - because "partners" is what they are. They -- specifically Bryanne -- worked with us on planning, re-planning, and at one point even reimagining the wedding at a different TCA venue. After all of this, we were able to move our wedding a few months and still have it a the Boston Public Library, and it was pure magic. We were so grateful for their flexibility, understanding, patience, and kindness. The pandemic devastated their industry, and they had every right to be more difficult, but we could not have had a better experience. Thank you, TCA! The food delicious, the service fantastic, and the venue truly unmatched. Day of the wedding, Faith and Amanda joined Bryanne as our guardian angels. These three were fantastic and made sure that we were taken care of throughout the night (such as helping through a bustling struggle and making sure our hands were never empty of our favorite drinks!). A huge thank you to TCA. I hope we have more opportunities to plan events with your team.

ly. And not to mention THE FOOD is OUTSTANDING!!! From the organizing before with Erica to the day of coordination with Kelly, I was so impressed. I love Catered Affair and will definitely use them again in the future!

. The food was THE BEST most clean, organic, fresh, delicious food I've ever had. We even got to meet the chef during our tasting. My hubby and I want to go back every year on our anniversary so we can have the delicious food again. The presentation and attention to detail was 5/5 too. Erica went over every single detail with us even how they'll fold the napkins for the reception tables. She is very detail oriented and the absolute best at her job. I can't say enough wonderful things about this caterer. I am SO happy we were referred to them. BOOK THEM!
