They were absolutely amazing to work with along the entire process. The food was absolutely amazing, all of our guests raved about it all night after dinner. We also had a last min...
ute allergy to address (days before the wedding), and they were very accommodating and helped to make sure that guest had a plate for dinner. If you need a caterer in San Antonio I definitely recommend giving them a look up.
Amazing food and amazing service! They were so easy to work with even with us being out of state. They came in the day of the wedding and put in work. The food was delicious and we...
received a lot of compliments. Even better, they packed up some of the leftovers and our wedding party devoured it later after some drinks lol. Definitely recommend!
I know what you're thinking; you're scrolling through reviews, wondering if you should hire a food truck for your wedding. I'm here to tell you to DO IT. The Box Street Social was ...
so awesome to work with. They kept regular contact, they let us try out their menu beforehand so we could pick what we thought was best for our guests. Their food is DELICIOUS. The Bacon Jam Sliders? My God. To die for! We had a wedding in my parents' backyard and they were super cool about pulling in and serving already prepared plates (on really cute disposable bamboo plates). We had way less people than we initially planned due to covid, and they packed up the leftovers for us to have for later. Above and beyond! They were awesome, you will not regret having this unique and delicious experience at your wedding :)
The Box Street Social is THE BEST caterer ever!! I’m not kidding we had guests tell us that was not only the best meal they had ever had at a wedding, but the best meal they had ev...
er had period! The food was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious! Every single guest said great things about the food all night. They were also super accommodating when building the menu, as we requested an entirely gluten and dairy free menu since I have severe allergies to both. Also, the catering staff at our wedding were very professional and kind. They were very flexible and accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding because of covid and even got creative with new ways to serve food at cocktail hour when new rules and precautions were put into place. I have nothing but great things to say about Edward and his team and we are so happy we chose them to cater our wedding!
One of the only mistakes we made while wedding planning was not booking Box Street Social as soon as we got engaged. We had a two year engagement and booked Box Street only 5 month...
s before our wedding. We missed out on 19 months of fun planning with this amazing company!!!
Bar & Catering was one of the most important details of our wedding. We knew we wanted our meal to not be the basic chicken, potatoes, and veggie wedding dinner. Box Street listened to our ideas and helped us create a unique and tasty menu for our guests. We had 4 passed appetizers & family style dinner. (Honey poppy seed salad with cranberries, pistachio crusted chicken with chipotle creme, bacon wrapped tenderloin with cherry mostarda, three cheese mac & cheese, & brussels sprouts with burnt lemon vinaigrette). Our food was delicious and the service was impeccable. They made cocktail hour & dinner run so smoothly! Box Street accommodated our vegetarian & gluten free guests with ease. We had so many guests complement us on the dinner!
The father of the bride had been collecting wine for the wedding for years and we had some really special wine & port being served. They were great at allowing us to bring our own alcohol so we could serve our special wine & port. We also had an fun cocktail tasting & couldn’t choice just one or two cocktails for our wedding. So we had 5 amazing & yummy cocktails for our guests. (Pimms Cup, Gold Rush, Tom Collins, Paloma, & Old Fashioned). They were such a hit and each glass was served with flair. To make the bar line stay down during cocktail hour, they butler passed the drinks! It was a fun touch that we know our guests appreciated.
Truly when it came to our bar, Box Street said “yes!” to every single one of our crazy ideas. Speakeasy tequila/bourbon bar in the basement? Yes! Five batch signature drinks? Yes! Large format ice? Yes! Three different bar locations? Yes! Have Angelo serve a magnum size wine bottle during dinner service? YES! (LOL!)
We cannot say thank you enough to Edward, Caroline, Angelo, the cooking team, the bar team, and the serving team for making our wedding so special and run with ease ! If you are looking for a caterer or bartender for your next event, look no more! Book this amazing team for an spectacular event. We can’t wait to host an anniversary party or dinner just so we can work together again!
Honestly, if you want your wedding guests to be amazed at presentation and deliciousness you need to get Box Street Social. We had a grazing station for cocktail hour that everyone...
absolutely loved. Our main course consisted of family style dining with an assortment of food. Edward and his team are such a joy and we definitely had a blast at the food tasting. We had some special requests that Edward knocked out of the ball park. We can't wait to have other special events so that Box Street Social can cater!

as been such a joy to work with. Highly recommend to anyone needing a modern twist to the cocktail hour food or food truck dinner!
I cannot rave enough about how amazing Edward is from Box Street Social. From the moment we met him during a local event and tasting their amazing food, we knew that this was the t...
ype of food we wanted for our wedding. We didn't want the traditional chicken or beef for our wedding, but something fun and tasty. Edward is not only highly professional and reasonably priced, but also his enthusiasm and dedication to his work is something that really stood out to us when we met him. What made his business stand out (besides the amazing food!) was the personable conversation we had and how we knew that he was passionate for what he did. During the months leading up to the wedding he kept in contact with us and came out with us to tour the venue multiple times, again showing his dedication to his company. On the day of our Sunday wedding Edward was able to pull up his food truck so guests could see it and showed up early with his equally professional team to set up. When I saw how they set everything up I was blown away at the amazing job they did at capturing my vision. Everyone looked absolutely stunning. The food was just as amazing as the first day we tried it. Our guests loved it! Edward did a wonderful job working with our vendors and the venue to make sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, we are so happy we booked with Box Street Social and can't wait to eat their amazing food again.
Box Street Social is seriously amazing! The food is phenomenal (from the 3 unique sliders at cocktail hour, to the truffle mac n cheese and the late night street tacos). Everything...
is made fresh on site in the food truck. Edward and his staff are so attentive. They are also very reasonably priced for the amount of food and the quality of food they serve. They even box up your leftovers to take home with you.
Edward was so easy and fun to work with. I would highly recommend Box Street Social!!

edding. We had paella during cocktail hour which was amazing! Edward was also able to provide vegan options for some of our guests. He made the process simple and unforgettable. He even made sure we had food on our table before we sat down to eat. Edward is so creative and will provide you with ideas for exactly what you are looking for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOX STREET SOCIAL!
We had a few hiccups at the beginning but Edward made up for it more then enough. I had a wedding of about 80 people. We had a grazing table that was not only excellently put toget...
her but was also delicious, especially the hummus. They had there own busing service that we used. We had fish tacos, hamburgers, Mac and cheese and potato salad. When we first talked about the menu I thought every one gets one or the other but we found out day of thy they get both! It was a lot of amazing food. All night guest were coming up to compliment and ask who catered the wedding. Best part is when they aren’t serving weddings they are at Alamo ales brewery just serving food. They also cleaned up from dinner and cut our cake for us. I would highly recommend box social, Edward is very nice and considerate.
No need to look any further for a caterer for your wedding! Edward Garcia and his staff were amazing! It was exactly the unique, tasty experience we were after for my daughter's we...
dding reception. Don't let the food truck idea scare you, even for large weddings. Edward and his staff were able to serve a 4-course meal to over 230 guests in around 30 - 45 minutes. Everyone loved the spring green salad; avocados stuffed with quinoa, black beans, and roasted corn; cheeseburger sliders with bacon jam; and of course the crispy chicken and homemade sour cream donuts drizzled with maple syrup. Yum!! We served the food family-style, allowing guests to take what they wanted from the platters, then pass them around. We also had a cocktail hour where Edward set up a beautiful appetizer table. Despite having to move everything indoors due to inclement weather, Edward made the quick changes seamless, and I had many guests tell us what a terrific spread it was. Edward had plenty of assistants helping with setup, serving, and cleanup, and he stayed until everything was completely done. I had so many people tell me how much they loved the experience!
We can't say enough good things about The Box Street Social! Edward Garcia and his team catered our wedding reception in Mid-March and it was everything we expected and more. Our g...
uests stopped to tell us how good the food was at every turn, and we thought so too!
Edward was incredibly understanding, and fun to work with! We planned our reception from 2 states away, and he made the process so easy. He even stepped in and helped my husband and I when we had to scramble after issues with our venue! Throughout the weeks of planning, Edward was kind, thorough, and very professional.
I have to tell everyone how good The Box Street Social is, both the team working behind it, and the food!!!
We will absolutely book them again for our future events! They helped make our special day perfect, and we can't thank them enough!
I booked the Box Street Social to serve my wedding reception. Great food! Great service! Our guests loved the unique (and tasty) menu. A wonderful and more memorable alternative to...
traditional and pricier wedding caterers! The owner Edward was also very easy to talk to and made sure everything on our day was perfect and even boxed up the leftover uneaten food for us to take home.
Thank you again Box Street Social and Edward! 100% recommend!!

We hired Box Street Social to cater our Rehearsal Dinner, and we could not have been happier with our choice. The food was amazing and beautiful — three different gorgeous, tasty p...
aellas, plus grilled appetizers and a gorgeous spread of desserts — and Edward and his staff were absolutely a delight to work with. Friendly, professional, prepared, timely, amazingly affordable, and extremely accommodating when we had strange requests. Our guests were SO happy and we got tons of compliments on the food. Would absolutely recommend!
We hired Edward Garcia, the head chef and owner of The Box Street Social, to cater my brother's wedding held 8/4/17. Initially, we discussed having them serve food directly from th...
e food truck, but we changed our minds about that. Actually, we changed our minds about pretty much everything when it came to the food and the caterer, but Edward just rolled with it. We had a very strict budget, and of all the caterers we contacted, he was the only one to actually stick to the budget given.
Edward scrambled a serving team together when my brother decided at the last minute that he wanted a seated dinner service rather than having it served buffet-style. He was gracious when I surprised him with a request to have his servers cut and plate the cake. Every single curve ball we threw at his team was taken in stride and handled beautifully.
Now, for the main reason we chose The Box Street Social. The. Food. Was. AMAZING. We already knew the food was delicious; my brother and I tried their stuffed avocados when we were checking out the food trucks at The Block (food truck block near UTSA) and we were sold from that experience alone. My sister-in-law was worried about having a food truck at their formal wedding, but luckily, The Box is not just a food truck. While they did cook all the food from the truck, it was plated and served like any other (gorgeous) catered dinner. The menu included: smoked chicken breast with a chimichurri sauce and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with a cherry mustard glaze; sides included mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, and a dinner roll. We didn't want our guests to have to choose, so each guest was served both entrees. The chicken was moist and the pork tenderloin was juicy and perfectly cooked. Rather than simply serving them whole, the veggies were finely julienned, which looked beautiful on the plate. Everything was seasoned to perfection. As one of the maids-of-honor and the wedding planner/coordinator, I only wish that I had had more than 10 minutes to enjoy and savor the food!
To recap: management was phenomenal, the service was top notch; the food was to die for. If you want great service and food that your guests will actually enjoy (and rave about!) within a reasonable budget, seriously consider catering from The Box Street Social.
I am at a loss of words to describe the excellent service we received from The Box Street on our wedding day. First off, I used to plan weddings and have had my fair share of bland...
chicken and dry mashed potatoes from every basic caterer in town. Food was high up on our priority list when it came to what really mattered to us, so it was important that we found something unique and something savory that our guests would enjoy!
Well, while eating at our favorite food truck one day the idea crossed our minds and we fell in love with the idea of having a "Food Truck" wedding! Eddie (the owner) met with us and helped us come up with a unique menu to fit our style and suggested that we do a "family style" service which we didn't even know was an option! Needless to say the service was impeccable and timely. Throughout the entire wedding our friends and family were raving about how delicious the food was, from the crab stuffed avocados for apps to the fancy mac... Eddie and his team used fresh ingredients and were able to deliver a mouthwatering meal to our guests, we even had a WHOLE COOKED PIG! It was awesome! I wish I could go back in time just to eat dinner again, but luckily I can go visit them wherever the food truck ends up next!
