DO NOT USE THE BLACK TUX FOR YOUR WEDDING.
As a bride who is ONE WEEK away from her wedding, I am beyond frustrated with this company.
Our initial fitting with my fiancé was actu...
ally great. The woman was professional, helpful, and we left feeling confident that we had made the right choice. LOL. We were very wrong.
We were told that if we added a fifth person to our order, we would get $200 off. So we added a fifth person. THEN we found out the groom apparently doesn’t count toward the five people. Would’ve been nice to know that BEFORE we added someone. Sounds a little like false advertising to me.
Then the tuxes started arriving.
My fiancé’s first tux had pants that were GIGANTIC and a jacket that was way too big. We sent it back. A week before our wedding, the second one arrives — pants are still the same issue, and now the jacket is so small it looked like it was made for a toddler. Apparently “fit” is just a suggestion at The Black Tux.
At that point, we had ZERO confidence the third order would be right, so we had to scramble and make an emergency appointment at Men’s Wearhouse because, you know, having a tuxedo that actually fits the groom is apparently something we needed a backup plan for.
And my brother’s experience wasn’t any better. He was fitted at the SouthPark location, and his first tux arrived with pants that were too short AND had two different-length legs. The jacket sleeves were also two different lengths. His second order? Pants in the SAME SIZE are now too tight, and the jacket is way too big.
Seriously… how is this happening?
This has been an absolute nightmare and completely unacceptable, especially this close to our wedding. We trusted The Black Tux to handle something as simple as properly fitting tuxedos, and instead we’ve dealt with multiple incorrect orders, inconsistent sizing, poor quality control, misleading information, and an incredible amount of unnecessary stress.
If you’re getting married, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Your wedding is stressful enough without having to wonder if the groom is actually going to have something to wear.
0/10. Would not recommend.
We ordered the dark green tuxes online. The tuxes are so sharp, excellent quality, and shipped with plenty of time for alterations or exchanges. They added a subtle unique touch th...
at we absolutely loved! No one expected the tuxes to look as good as they did in person (we had lots of apprehensive looks telling people our tuxes were green). But they were stunning!
Our biggest complaint (and the reason it dropped a star) was the group ordering online. For all other tuxes you could layout what each groomsmen, dad, etc would wear and send it to them so there was no confusion. Once all had ordered, the groom would get his free. BUT, because we chose a specialty color, we could not do the bundle and the groom did NOT give his free. That was a bummer.
Everything else about the process and the tuxes was perfect!
Suits were great, but what was really awesome was the return process. My groomsmen live all over, so going with some sort of chain was mandatory. Instead of having to drive to diff...
erent locations though, we were all able to just drop off our suit boxes at the UPS drop point (a CVS!) across from the Hotel and be done with returns the morning after the wedding. Super convenient. I remember having to get other guys to pickup/dropoff for me and Venmo and stuff like that in similar situations for other weddings. This was WAY better!
Suits arrived on time, changes were made quickly. The guys looked great! We got tons of compliments on how nice the suits looked—couldn’t believe they were a rental!
Was an okay experience. The suits were nice and fit well, but the experience was far more stressful than necessary. Half of the items didn’t fit and replacements barely made it bef...
ore the wedding. Made for a very stressful experience leading up to the wedding day.
Everyone that order from the black tux in our wedding was extremely satisfied with the service they received and the quality of the attire. Only two had to get a different size in ...

Wonderful customer service! Very responsive and helpful. We had an amazing experience using Black Tux for my husband's tux as well as attire for the groomsmen. Everyone looked amaz...
ing! My husband got to try his on a few weeks in advance to ensure he got the right sizes for the wedding day. The tux and accessories were delivered about 1 week prior to the wedding in great condition. We mailed everything back 2 days after the wedding. I would definitely recommend Black Tux for any menswear for your event!
Great customer service! Great product! We used them for our whole wedding party and all the guys looked amazing. A couple guys needed different sized jackets after getting their tu...
x & those were sent immediately. I love that they send you the tux so far in advance!
We selected The Black Tux for our wedding due to their excellent customer service and sharp looks. We had a New Year's Eve wedding and I wanted all of the groomsmen to look sharp i...
n modern tuxedos without breaking the bank. We signed up for an at-home try on (which meant that if nothing else, the groom would look good). They normally deliver one week prior to your event, but one week before New Year's Eve is Christmas. They ended up sending our tuxes to us two weeks before the event, just to make sure there were no issues around the shipping madness of the holidays. My dad didn't realize that the tux he ordered was slim cut, and being 55 years old he was uncomfortable with the slimmer pants. They overnighted a pair of the traditional cut pants for him to try on, and sent a second pair in a new size to our in-laws house in the city we were married in to make sure that he had the right size on-time. The return process was also seamless, which was great for us since we were able to just drop it off on our way to the airport and our honeymoon. I know it's a little nerve-wracking to order a tux online for such a big event, but I promise these guys are on top of it!
I would definitely recommend using the Black Tux for wedding tuxes. I was super hesitant because they couldn't try them on before they were delivered, but my husband was adamant o...
n using them. They sent him a sample after sending in his measurements and it fit him like a glove. We got married the weekend after Memorial Day so we were worried about the 7 day delivery and having them delivered on the holiday weekend, so we called and they were so accommodating and changed delivery locations if the groomsmen were out of town or delivered a couple of days early if needed. We had 3 that didn't fit so they sent new sizes immediately that got here in plenty of time for the wedding and they all fit perfectly - just needed a little pressing. The tuxes looked great on the day of the wedding, they looked tailor-made for the guys and everyone looked very sharp. Much better than the box tux stores where the tuxes look too big or don't fit exactly or making them pay a lot of money for a brand new one. Great idea!
I recommend The Black Tux to anyone looking for wedding tuxes. I was thrilled with how the tuxes fit my wedding party, and the quality was impeccable. We did have one fit issue tha...

Highly, highly recommend this company! Excellent customer service with very quick responses. I was able to get tuxedos for myself and 9 groomsmen. Tuxedos arrived early and they we...
re able to accommodate any size changes very quickly. Tuxedos were nicely pressed (even with the shipping) and the guys looked so sharp. Excellent fit and the style was modern and slim. Highly recommend over the generic tuxedo rental shops such as Men's Warehouse and Jos A Banks.
Excellent customer service. Great quality. Very handy when one of the tuxes didn't fit my groomsmen, we just called up and they overnighted one to us that was perfect.
It was easy to order. Came right to our door. Even though there was a small mistake, it was fixed quickly. And very convenient to return.
The price was reasonable, the look and fit was excellent and the ease of ordering and returning was noteworthy!
Loved the Black Tux! The suits themselves are high quality and reasonably priced, and the customer service experience was great. We had some last-minute hiccups with delivery (due ...
to a user error issue with one of the groomsmen) but every person who answered the phone--we called A LOT--was incredibly helpful, accountable, and consistent. I was initially concerned about handling the process online, but given the quality of the suits (especially relative to the price point), combined with super responsive customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Black Tux.
Although there were a few problems with my order, The Black Tux did everything in their power to make it right. In the end, any and all issues were resolved, my tux fit perfectly, ...
and it looked great. I recommended The Black Tux to every gentleman in my wedding and I will definitely be using the service again in the future.
Used them for my brother's wedding, awesome. Used them for my wedding 7 months later, perfect. I love Black Tux. They'll do everything they can to provide exceptional service. High...

ice was spectacular. This was the easiest and most pleasant tuxedo renting process that I have ever been involved in. It was just so easy, from start to finish.
The suit I ordered fit me perfectly after I so easily put in my measurements. They made sure I got my suit a week before my event even though I ordered it late, and their customer ...
service was incredible. The boxing and packaging was absolutely 5 star material on any scale and I will definitely rent from them again in the near future without doubting their variety of suits will suit my need.
Loved it. Easy to use, everything arrived early and the return was simple.
Whoo Hoo... Finally a 5 star rental.

I'm a trans guy who is very short and chubby so rentals always look horrible on me. I saw the The Black Tux online and figured I give it a shot because in store rentals are always ...
bad for me anyway. I couldn't have been happier with choosing the black tux, as soon as my tux came in because the length was perfect and the shoulders fit great. It was the first time I had a tux that looked right for me and not like I was a little kid in my dads clothes.
The staff at The Black Tux were amazing! We ended up having to switch a groomsman & they were able to add our new guy & get him set up online that same day. Very impressed with the...
ir customer service - most emails were returned same day. The suits were good quality & everyone was handsome & happy!
Superb customer service, and the rentals, well the proofs in the pudding, look at my groomsmen in these photos. http://www.rondillonphotography.com/photographer-houston-wedding-eng...
agement-bridal/ These suits look better than any other wedding I'v been in and I am a seasoned groomsmen, however, this time I was able to select my look and that's what I loved about the BLK TUX experience. While I own my personal tux, I wanted my groomsmen to share that personalized/tailored look, the BLK TUX exceeded those expectations! Thank you for making my wedding day top notch!
Everything was easy! The tux looked great...amazing. I had my doubts about a service like this because I had never used an online tux rental "place". Thank you all so much. I wish ...
I could send pics. I wanted to keep my tux. It fit perfectly! Thia is usually so hard to do with my bold, military frame...my legs are tree trunks! It even came qith paid return packaging...and tape! I know that attention to details is the key and they did just that. Great job and thanks again Black Tux.
Customer service was awesome; the tux fit excellent; and it was extremely easy to order & return!
Phenomenal customer service. Sent 3 shipments, even overnight shipped the last package directly to my hotel, at no additional charge to make perfectly sure that I had the correct s...
ize for the whole tux ensemble in time for the wedding event. Forgot borrowed cufflinks and sent them back by mistake. The customer service person without hesitation was committed to return ship the items after receipt of the return shipment. Excellent customer service at the post-sale, post-event stage makes this company even more remarkable.
My "The Black Tux" experience was out of this world. Not only was the website easy to navigate, but when I called customer service, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I had ...
my jacket sleeve length tailored the week of my wedding and Black Tux offered to reimburse me. On the Wednesday before my Friday wedding, one of my groomsman realized that he ordered completely the wrong sizes...we called customer service and they sent a completely new suit overnight. Everything fit great and the entire grooms party looked amazing. The process for creating an event and making it happen is so simple and alleviates a lot of the stress of worrying about your whole party. I will use The Black Tux again if I need to wear a suit and don't feel like buying.
Midnight Blue tuxedo + Midnight Blue waistcoat (vest). Paired it with my own pique-front tuxedo shirt and self-tie silk bow tie.

I looked sharp, got plenty of compliments, and it was a seamless experience start to finish. Thanks again, Black Tux!
"This was the easiest , no hassle part of Prom! The tux looked and fit great with the help of your fit specialists! So easy and very cool.
Loved it "
It was delivered on time and fit great. Also, the suit was incredibly durable! I was tearing up the dance floor with zero mobility issues or accidental rips. Great quality, price, ...
and service!
Amazing service, great fit, on-time delivery. Everything worked perfectly!
It was a super smooth process! The tux fit perfectly (which is rare) and I was so happy!
The best way to rent a tux - the site and delivery experience was exceptional.
My friend used this service for his groomsmen tuxedos on 4/30/16. I've been in several weddings and have had to go through the agony of tux fittings at unnamed mall tuxedo rental ...
shops, where they always somehow manage to screw up your order, measure you improperly, or give you the wrong size. The Black Tux was not only super easy to use, and dare I say, "idiot proof," but the customer service was great and the return procedure was very convenient. The quality of the shirts, tuxes and shoes were also very good and fairly priced. I didn't feel like my shirt was going to light on fire, since it was a thick, high-quality cotton shirt versus the flammable, polyester shirts that other rental shops give you. Also, when the customer service rep noticed an anomaly in my pant and jacket measurements (I have a wide waste and narrow shoulders...), he called me to offer a sizing suggestion and to confirm my sizes were indeed correct. Overall, the tux looked great on my buddy's big day, and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. I plan on using The Black Tux for my own wedding later this year.
There is no aspect of this experience where my expectations weren't totally exceeded, thank you for making a once in a lifetime experience perfect.. Jim Chernesky

The process was soooo easy! I ordered a free measuring tape from them, checked all my measurements, and filled out the information on my account. That was it. No BS going to a ret...
ail location 4 times to fit, try on, try on again, pick up, return, etc. This was just one easy transaction. I did request that a jacket and pants be sent to me before hand, since I was the groom in the wedding, but they fit perfectly. I was very confident with my suit for myself and the other 5 suits for the boys. They all fit great, and we honestly got so many compliments. I will definitely encourage my other bachelors to use this service for their weddings, and I will def rent tuxes from The Blktux the in the future. Can't recommend this business enough. Great experience!
The clothes fit perfectly and the tux's Marina Wool made it a comfortable feel and i felt very good in what I was wearing. I would say I was one of the best dressed at my prom and ...
I will definitely be using The Black Tux again in the near future. Prices are very affordable as well.
Fantastic experience, from the fit to quality of the clothes, it was the best. One guest even complimented on the cut and quality of the suit.
Top quality cloth and cut. Frictionless process from order to return. Well done.
I've used The Black Tux twice now. First was a groom and the process getting my groomsmen fitted and taken care of was smooth sailing. I didn't have to worry about a thing.
The s...
econd time was a groomsmen myself. My suit arrived a week early as expected. I immediately tried it on and the jacket was too big. I called customer support and after answering a few questions about why the jacket didn't fit a new one was on the way. Still, the new jacket didn't fit, it just needed to be let out by a tailor in the sleeves. No big deal. The best part is The Black Tux reimburses up to $15 on the tailoring so it wasn't a big deal.
Overall, the website and process is smooth and fairly painless if you follow the instructions to try on your stuff immediately and stay in communication with customer support.
1. Excellent customer service and support 2. Great product quality 3. Easy to do business 4. Reasonable pricing.
Amazing customer service, along with great quality tuxedos!
We really enjoyed using The Black Tux for our groomsmen. We chose The Rat Pack outfit for our groomsmen and The Newman for the groom (basically the difference of a bowtie for the ...
groom and long ties for the groomsmen). Everyone looked great, the tuxes fit great, and the customer service was excellent. We had to get one pair of pants hemmed prior to the wedding and exchange a pair of shoes, but everything was easy and seamless. A great choice for modern grooms - I felt that the quality of the tuxes was exceptional and looked/felt more current than some other popular rental places. I would definitely use them again for another event!
The suits are gorgeous. The ordering and returning are super easy and the modern styles will totally elevate weddings in the 21 century. Kudos!
The fit and sizing was perfect. Great service getting new coat and shirt out in less than 12 hours for one of groomsman. Overall great experience.
Ordered my 4 groomsmen their suits from the black tux and couldn't be happier. They were easy to order for the guys, came on time looked great and they were all very impressed with...

d new garments on Wednesday. Several of my groomsmen commented about how friendly the staff was. They were all amazed at how simple the whole experience was. The tuxes themselves were modern, clean, and not boxy at all.

to say, having the tuxes shipped directly to the groomsmen was PERFECT! Their customer service staff is incredibly helpful and very responsive. We had a few groomsmen with sizing issues and the team at The Black Tux was able to help reorder all of the pieces we needed and even ship them to an address in Charleston where we were staying for the week of the wedding. The tuxes were a great quality and looked as fantastic in pictures as they did in person. Overall awesome value, look, and service!
