The Best Wedding DJ Ever

ch I'm sure he would have... had he shown up. The first red flag was about 2 weeks before the wedding. I had already paid the remainder of my balance for services contracted specifically with Mike himself as the DJ when he sent me an email unlike his usual automated reminder emails. This particular email was titled "On your wedding day who do you tip and how much should you tip?" Having never received any previous emails from him regarding wedding etiquette, I took this as a not-so-subtle way of saying "By the way, I'm expecting a tip." As someone who works for tips in the service industry myself, I found this to be in very poor taste. On my wedding day I was disappointed to find out that he had sent a replacement with no prior notification or explanation. His replacement, Bobby, told us mike was in Orlando and was afraid he'd be late. I found it to be very unprofessional of Mike not to communicate this beforehand. Bobby was extremely unprofessional and seemingly uninterested in our event. Among other events, he spoke negatively about us and our guests to the other vendors, unaware that they were also our friends. He left early; told no one he was leaving and shut off the music in mid-song. I never received a call from Mike with any explanation or apology. In addition, I recently found out that my father-in-law called Mike prior to the wedding to discuss a song he wanted to perform for us as a surprise. He said Mike was very rude to him on the phone and that based on the conversation he felt it was best to buy his own equipment (microphone, speakers, and amplifier) to preform his song, which we also used for the toast. I wish I had read some the other reviews before being suckered into contract with this guy.

eting with Mike, that these people are HORRIBLY unprofessional. My husband and I were getting married in Miami in April 2013. We live in Texas, and flew down to Miami for a weekend to get our marriage license, and meet with all of our vendors, including MB Entertainment. We had set up this meeting weeks in advance, but after waiting for almost an hour for them to show up, we get a phone call that they are stuck in traffic and are unable to make it. We had multiple phone calls prior to the wedding to make sure they got everything right. One thing in particular that was stressed over and over is that, since our ceremony was going to be on the beach, and it was against the hotel/beach policy to have wires from the hotel to the beach, we needed a wireless, battery operated sound system for the ceremony, for our music and the microphones. We were ASSURED multiple times that this was not a problem. Well, about 20 minutes before Im supposed to walk down the aisle, I get word that the DJs battery system is not working, isn't holding a charge, and that he has never even used this thing before!!! Im freaking out!!! All of the nontraditional music that we had planned on for our ceremony was going to be ruined!!! SO now, my wedding coordinator is scrambling, trying to find something else to use, while the DJ is doing nothing to help. Thankfully, my wedding coordinator saved the day, and MB entertainments ass, and was able to borrow a system from another wedding. But, since this all took so much time to do, our ceremony started over an hour late, with a storm rolling in, and my wedding was almost ruined by a downpour. Thankfully, we and all of our guests made it back to the hotel right before it started pouring. But, because we started so late, and it was raining right after our ceremony, all my pictures that i had planned on having with my groom and wedding party on the beach, were ruined and we were unable to do any of them. If we had started on time, we would have been able to take the beautiful beach photos that I had dreamed of. And was that the only F-up? of course not. They were supposed to play Sinatra-esque music during dinner, but my husband had to get up from his seat and remind him to do so since he was playing Hip-Hop! They kept telling us before the wedding about how if we gave them a 'Do not play' list, then if anyone requested a song on that list, the DJ was just supposed to say, sorry I don't have it. But several of our guests came up to us and said, you DJ told us this song is on your 'Do Not Play' list. Totally embarrassing and not the discreet excuse we were promised!!! Clearly, what they promise you is not what you get. I would NEVER recommend these unprofessionals to ruin anyone else's wedding.

I hired him just to see if I needed any general help with any other aspect of my wedding planning even though that wasn't necessarily his role as my DJ. He just truly wanted to be helpful since he knew I was planning the wedding from out of town, and he had worked with a lot of my prospective vendors in the past. He really went above and beyond to be helpful and was always very prompt to return the calls or emails. Most importantly, the day of the wedding, he was on time, prepared and had everything set up for the wedding exactly the way I had requested through his website. He wasn’t one of those DJ’s who likes to hear himself talk and hogged the microphone during the reception. Mike just kept the party moving and was great at making sure we got all of our important events (cutting the cakes, speeches, etc) done in a timely fashion. He also tried to make sure the important people (parents, grandparents) were in the room WHEN he did those things. THAT is something that not every DJ thinks of and I greatly appreciated that. Once everyone hit the dance floor, Mike played AWESOME dance music and the dance floor was ALWAYS full. That’s exactly what I wanted for my wedding and he did a wonderful job at keeping everyone hopping! We ended up having him stay another hour and partied until 1:00am. That’s how good the dance music was. I greatly appreciated his willingness to accommodate my requests. I can’t say enough nice things about Mike and greatly appreciated his contribution to a wonderful wedding day for my husband and me. Thanks Mike!

He didn't play songs from my must list. Thank god I have an amazing family who would dance to anything! My planners and my venue coordinator made it all better. I am an easy going bride and I'm easy to please however I warn u DO NOT USE these people. PLEASE!

REAT. The actual wedding was fun and the DJ played what we specified. Shannon was our MC, and she was pretty good as well. The only disappointment was the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding. The office seemed disorganized and we were told that our initially scheduled DJ wasn't working there anymore. We actually didn't meet or even really find out who our DJ was until the last minute. Shannon was fine, but it seemed very last minute like they were scrambling to find someone to cover the wedding. Overall, still a great time!

e had so much fun dancing. Everyone got up and danced. The only complaint I have is that during the ceremony he played the wrong songs for everyone to come down the aisle to. So I went down the aisle to the same song as my Husband. But he is amazing at communicating with you. I got an e-mail every month and a phone call asking if I needed anything through the whole process. If you called or e-mailed got an answer right away. I highly recommend him.

There were no butts in seats and my grandfather kept going downstairs to check the ceiling b/c he swore we were going to dance till it collapsed! To me there is no choice - MB Entertainment is the only DJ to have at your wedding, hands down! I know some DJ's advertise $495 packages - don't be fooled. Mike was a one stop shop for all your entertainment needs, he also did my ceremony. I swear, if Mike is sill DJing when my daughter gets married I will be calling him!

I thought it was a little pricey, but the service was totally worth it. They were professional, knowledgeable, creative, and truly listened to what my husband and I wanted. Thank you Mike!!!

Bobby sang to everyone during dinner (without even asking/knowing!!) and it was fantastic!! All of our guests really enjoyed it!!! Very pleased with his performance :) So Much fun!!! Mike spun our outrageous collection of music with a vibrant smile and jovial spirit! The online music selection process is smooth and Mike will secure any music you may desire! And believe me, we had some unusual requests! Mike goes above the call of duty to ensure that we were comfortable, that his performance was satisfactory and always asked if there something else we might need. He helped me the nervous bride with his calm voice and his fluid guidance during our rehearsal evening.I wouldn't pick any other DJ for any event I have unless it was MIKE! Their DJ's will MC your reception with style and are NOT cheesy. They really did a great job to make our party fun for the whole crowd. I highly recommend MB Entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ in South Florida!
