Beachcomber is a great little spot! My husband and I stayed 3 days. We loved the garden courtyard and being that close to the beach! When we wanted to switch rooms to the courtyard view. The front desk was very accommodating and worked with us....
Over all great stay, great location! We would be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Beachcomber. It is a stunning hotel resort. Terrific live music. So much fun! The rooms were very well appointed. Great location in St. Pete. Much preferred our stay here compared to chain owned corporate hotels....
Much more personalized touch. The staff goes above and beyond here, so outgoing and friendly. We will absolutely return and recommend to friends and family.

Always remember the three most important rules of real estate, location, location, location! Located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA. It is a quaint motel and the staff is super friendly. The two pools are in great condition. Th...
e rooms have been refreshed recently with fresh paint and furniture. Yes it is an old motel but you can’t beat the location. The resort fee includes two beach chairs and an umbrella or a cabana and two chairs. Jimmy B’s located right on property and they always have great bands. Centrally located on Saint Pete Beach and only steps from the beach. I’m already looking at the calendar to see when we can plan our next weekend getaway.

We spent our honeymoon here for 5 nights and absolutely loved it!! The staff were so nice and so helpful everytime we chatted with them. The front desk gave us multiple suggestions for restaurants and attractions, all of which were within 2 mil...
es and absolutely amazing. Our room was right by Jimmy B’s bar and honestly I was worried about the noise at first, but it was barely noticeable. Also, the complimentary beach/pool towels are a very nice touch. We loved the very convenient location to the pool, bar and beach. Also, within walking distance to several restaurants. This was a terrific resort for our honeymoon and we hope to be back!! ❤️

The staff was wonderful—friendly, helpful, and honestly the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself feels like it missed a few decades of updates.
Let’s start with the bathroom door, which didn’t just have a broken lock—it simply...
refused to close at all. Privacy was more of a suggestion than a feature.
The TV was also a blast from the past. Not a smart TV, no streaming apps, and no way to cast to it either—so bring your imagination if you want entertainment. The outlets were placed in locations that made you question the architect’s life choices.
As for the air conditioner, it worked hard… at making noise. Adjusting the temperature didn’t cool the room, but it did successfully increase the volume, which was impressive in its own way.
That said, Jimmy B’s was fantastic and absolutely saved the experience. Great vibes, great spot—and honestly the main reason we’d consider coming back.

This place was just okay overall. The rooms are a little small, but the beach access is amazing and definitely the best part. The property itself is super cute and has a nice vibe, but the rooms didn’t feel very clean. At one point we spilled w...
ater and wiped it up with a towel, and the towel turned brown just from the floor, which was honestly gross. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine, though.
One thing that really bothered me was that the staff member who checked us in never mentioned the water contamination warning. Because of that, we brushed our teeth and washed our faces with contaminated water without knowing, which was pretty upsetting. She also seemed annoyed and had an attitude with us the entire stay. We were even denied free bottled water, which feels like it should be complimentary, especially during a water advisory.
The property itself is very cute, but there was construction happening right in the middle of it, which took away from the experience. The beach access is great, though, and they provide free chairs and umbrellas, which was a big plus.
The bar behind the resort, Jimmy B’s Beach Bar, was honestly overrated. It mostly caters to an older crowd, which is totally fine, but it wasn’t really the vibe for younger guests. Parking was also a huge issue because people visiting the bar take up most of the spots, leaving resort guests with nowhere to park.
The bartenders were rude and constantly asking for ID, even after serving you multiple times and knowing you were staying at the resort. At one point, a staff member even accused me of “sneaking in from the beach,” even though I was a guest. They also seemed to raise drink prices randomly—what started as an $8 drink suddenly became $10 later in the night with no explanation.
Overall, the property is cute and the beach access is great, but between the cleanliness issues, lack of communication from staff, parking problems, and negative experiences with the bar, it wasn’t an amazing stay.

There is better for the same price in PCB. The location is great! The beach is beautiful and easily accessible. The rooms were not clean though. My daughter’s feet were pitch black 5 minutes of running around the room. Beds aren’t comfortable a...
nd dishes were dirty. There was only one working elevator. Parking was a nightmare. We booked one night and paid the deposit. We then decided to book one more night because of the weather and they charged us a second deposit. Weird but we weren’t bothered until the lady at the front desk told us since we used our chime card we wouldn’t get either of our deposit’s back for a month. Then put up a sign that wasn’t there before saying the same thing. When my husband tried to ask why she told us “if you don’t like it then leave.” So yeah we won’t be staying here again and will be going back to the sandpiper as they have never done us wrong.

Rooms are very outdated. The bathroom had mold by the shower.
No breakfast option. Place really needs a face lift. Housekeeping does not visit everyday.
Beach & location are fabulous & the redeeming feature of the hotel.
I found loungers & c...
abanas all dirty & need updating.
Bar was fun & music was great.

First... not a resort. It is am motel with a pool. You do get to use the cabanas on the beach but for their "resort fee" you would expect a resort. It is not even a hotel..... it is a motel.
Second the rooms are beat. The door to our room had ...
been kicked in. There was no safety latch. The door barely shut. The couches we ripped and dirty.
The bar is loud and it is basically a party spot. If you like that then this is the place. If you want a relaxing "resort" experience this is not the place.
The beach is great. They have cabanas that are included in your "resort" fee but that is the only perk you get. No food anywhere around the hotel. They do provide coffee.
We were their in the off season in the middle of the week and there was barely enough parking. On a busy weekend you have to park someplace else from what I understand.
The beds are not great. If you want comfort go someplace else.
Basically this is a cheap motel with beach access and nothing more. The place is beat up and old but the price gets you what you pay for.
Frankly I would pay more to stay someplace else.

The beach chair cops at beach comber act like they own the place. Not my vibe. Jimmy Bs is nice, but they set up umbrellas and cabanas but won’t let you bring your own so they can charge you.
I was really disappointed. So… you can only rent ch...
airs and tents from them. You can’t bring your own.
They will set chairs and cabanas in front of your stuff. Then when you ask why, they basically say they own the beach and can do whatever they want.
