If you are considering getting married at the B&O Station Banquet Hall, here is my advice: DO IT.
My husband and I got married there in September 2024 and it was a dream. The ven...
ue is beautiful and historic but what makes it shine are the love and care put into events by the owners and B&O staff.
The food was incredible (I got many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding food they ever had), the dinner and bar service was great, Shannon (the venue coordinator) did an amazing job setting up my cookie table, and the staff very quickly worked to set everything up and take everything down after the wedding (it's so nice to have a venue that helps with that).
A special shoutout to Shannon - she went above and beyond to help as I was planning my wedding, and whenever I apologized for having so many questions, she would say, "don't apologize - this is your big day!". In addition to being the venue coordinator and helping me with logistics before the wedding, and setting up my cookie table, she worked with my vendors, including my super helpful day-of-coordinator, Lissia, with It's the Little Things, to make sure everything would run smoothly. She ALSO bartended at my wedding and was an absolute blast.
My husband and I knew the owners, Cat and Eric, before we decided on this venue for our wedding. Part of what helped us make this decision was the knowledge that they do great work and take a lot of pride in this banquet hall.
Also, the outdoor ceremony is gorgeous. They recently renovated the deck so it's brand new materials and they also planted flowers along the "aisle." The bridal suite was so big and had two chairs with mirrors and tables which was perfect for getting ready with our hair and makeup artists.
This, in my opinion, is a gem of a wedding venue in Youngstown. Highly recommend.

Overjoyed with the entire experience from the B&O. The owners were in constant communication thru the entire process. We made our own enhancements to the provided decor and they we...
re more than accommodating. We had 220 guests. The main room fits 200 (Above 180 felt a bit tight) and used the back room for overflow seating, as well as 2 photo backdrops for guest pictures. Bar staff was fast & courteous all night, no long lines for drinks. Food & dessert preparation and presentation was handled by the venue, and was top notch. We had a large cookie table and they handled everything, all we had to do was drop off the cookies the day before. Our DJ had no trouble setting up acoustics. He brought his extra uplighting lights to enhance the appearance of the venue ceiling. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and they made us, our help, and our guests feel incredibly welcomed inside their historic, yet modern, facility.
Amazing amazing!! Everyone was so helpful and kind. We had so many complaints on the food. They set our huge cookie table up and helped with the clean up. We were truly empress wit...

mments on how beautiful the place was how great the food was… She really went above and beyond in many ways. Thank you thank you thank you.
Absolutely beautiful! Cat and Eric really knew how to make the night special. They helped setup everything, setup um the cookies table for us and cut and served the cake. The food ...
was amazing and service was great!
This venue is under new management! I had my wedding there in January and it was AMAZING. I texted Ashley day and night and she seriously was so responsive and kind. I would recomm...
end this venue over any other venue in Youngstown. Everyone said the pace was beautiful and unique. I'm a wedding photographer so I have high standards when it comes to venues. I'm sure that the reviews that are bad on here were from the old management because my experience was nothing short of amazing and smooth sailing. I wish I could relive the day.
We haven't had our wedding there YET but booked this beautiful venue. I see a bunch of bad reviews, I am not sure if things have changed since then, but so far my experience has be...
en amazing!
Catherine has been so helpful with information on the venue and what they offer, as well as any questions that I have along the way! She is so informative and kind. She stayed late one night so my fiance and I could look at the venue when we were searching two nights in a row.
Not only that, but her responses are very quick to our needs.
Like I said, we haven't had the wedding yet, but so far I have no reason to doubt that the wedding will go swimmingly!
My fiance set an 11am appointment to view the B & O and Amy stood us up. She never gave us a phone number only email. We waited a whole 45 min along with speaking with anyone who w...
as there to try and get in touch with Amy. Every phone number posted on the building was disconnected or had a full voicemail box. Absolutely disappointed.
The space itself is absolutely GORGEOUS, spacious, and easy to work with. Amy was incredible - she gave us her personal cell phone number, was always available to answer our questi...
ons, and took care of every last detail. She was so accommodating and nice throughout the entire process. We would do it all over again if we could!
This is a very unique venue and my daughter and her fiancee loved this for their wedding. We did a walk thru in March of 2015 and the place hadn't been cleaned up from New Year's ...
celebration. Amy the manager seemed nice and we were thrilled that we could come in the day before. But Amy wasn't always the easiest to get a hold of. She was late the day before to let us in, a good half hour late and no call to let us know this. And then she went back on her word and told us the since she had to leave the building early, we'd have to leave also! That didn't go over very well with us so she gave in and said that I and my sister could stay and continue decorating. The wedding was on the 31st of October and there were still Halloween decorations up from a party the week before. Amy did very little, sat and was on her phone most of the day. The place was filthy, bugs, just a real mess that we pretty much cleaned up. The day of the event went well, the actual wedding ceremony was upstairs and reception downstairs. During the reception Amy came to the bride and groom to let them know that she forgot to charge them for the use of the ceremony room! Class act! She forgot to apologize for letting a mirror(family heirloom) slip and part of decoration fell off! This place would be so busy if they would work at it just a little bit. I have and won't ever refer anyone to use this venue. And that's a shame for this awesome building.
I wish I had something nice to say. I have wanted to have a wedding here since I met the man of my dreams. And once we got engaged, I thought the easiest part was picking a vendor ...
since I already knew exactly where I wanted it. Youngstown is right in the middle of our families 45 minute drive, and close to millcreek to take pictures, so needless to say I was sold already no matter what they told me the cost would be.
Too bad I never got to talk to anyone! I called three times and left messages (all a week apart) and emailed them. After getting frustrated I went down there a little after 4pm. When the brewery said it would be open AND the banquet hall office. Not a soul to be seen anywhere. So I called the chamber of commerce to see if they were officially closed. They said no, here's a different number. They gave me the number to the Tap House, so I called and basically begged the kid on the phone to give my message to the person in charge. Still nothing.

Whoever owns this building, the outside is already starting to look run down, and what a shame it is to let this building go to waste. Aside from a few gatherings a year, I don't see much action going on here anymore, and that's a sad thing. I don't know why I expected anything more, it is Youngstown after all, where nothing can stay open for more than a year because the owners are complete morons that only opened a bar so they could waste their lives away on alcohol. Yet another disappointing end to something that could've been wonderful in youngstown.
Overall my venue was perfect to my guests which was awesome because they didn't see all the work that went into it. Amy is the manager and although she gave me her personal cell nu...
mber she wasn't always available and wasn't too "business professional". (This turned my father off of the site immediately). This was one of the only places we could bring in our own food which is primarily the reason why we chose it. Their price was high but included 6 hours of rental and we could come in the day before and set up. Overall the venue was unique and quite flexible and fit the needs of our special day.
The B&O is a renovated train station and it is GORGEOUS. Everyone at our wedding was simply raving about the place. Amy is such a great person to work with and everything came ...
together so perfectly. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else.
