I had my bridal shower at The 1859 and could not have had a better experience! Kate is so wonderful to work with, and answered all of our questions and was with us through the planning process. She even stopped the morning of the shower to make sure that everything was squared away! The space is beautiful, we had no issues with parking, and there was plenty of space to accommodate 30+ guests. We also had help from Julie during the day who provided us with incredible support and service during the shower itself. Overall, I highly recommend The 1859 for all of your wedding shower needs; look no further!

wedding. We loved everything from the bride and groom suites to the beautifully landscaped outdoor patio area. And really, there is no better place to get married than right in the heart of downtown Loveland. It was so fun to show our guests where we live and fell in love, the town itself plays into the charm.
Kate Harden, the owner, was nothing short of amazing throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. She was calm and collected and we felt so at ease knowing she could handle anything that came her way. She executed the decor plan to perfection and helped the day run more smoothly than we even imagined. When rain came our way she jumped into action and pulled off a miracle room flip to make sure our guests were able to come in from the outdoor cocktail hour just in time. We appreciated the attention to detail, which is so important in event planning.
We also used several Loveland based vendors that were recommended and were impressed by how they all worked together as a seamless team. Our guests raved about the location, the food, the flowers and everything in between but it was the love and warmth you feel from the venue that brought everything together so perfectly. We 100% would recommend The 1859 to anyone looking for the perfect event setting.

hat has been done, without fully taking away all of its historic charm (the venue still has some of the original church pews, which we loved). Kate, the owner, was reasonable, accommodating, friendly, understanding, and patient. From day one, she quickly responded to all of my questions with the exact amount of detail that I needed. Kate even offered up suggestions of what we could do to include photos and figurines of our beloved tabby cat at the venue so he could celebrate with us in some way. She provided me with a lot of comfort and reassurance on the day of - I highly recommend her Day of Coordinator services add on for this reason. Kate kept her promise of opening up the doors and ringing the historic bell once we said “I do” and this was such a special moment for us. Kate was also accommodating after the wedding with a last-minute need on our end, and for us this just solidified our appreciation for and trust in Kate and her beautiful venue. Kate truly puts the couples first, and I think that is the largest key to her success. I cannot think of anything from my wedding day that I would change. The 1859 was perfect for us. We can’t thank Kate enough! We hope there are other celebrations in the future that allow us to revisit The 1859. We miss it already. It holds such a special place in our hearts. Thanks again!

s beautiful, but Kate made us feel so welcomed and matched our excitement for our big day. She sat down with us and talked through all the nit-picky details and explored different ideas that we had in mind, chiming in where she could help make happen. She even made some suggestions that we hadn't thought of that we decided to go with. She offers some different decor packages which made planning and decision making so easy for us. We even had her as our day of coordinator and can't stress enough how great she was. She had a precise fully detailed plan that was shared with us and coordinated with all our vendors to ensure everything was set. The day before our wedding we were able to drop off all our decor/items, talk through details again, help do very minor setup (basically just put drinks in the fridges), and had the utmost confidence that her staff would transform the venue exactly how we envisioned. On our day, we walked in and the setup was perfect, Kate and her staff did an amazing job.
The surrounding area is beautiful. There's an outdoor patio where we hosted cocktail hour and there's even an AirBnB attached to the venue that we rented out which was so convenient for a multitude of reasons. At the end, we were even allowed to ring the church bells!
The venue is situated in a great area, there's a large nearby parking lot and several places that are easily a walkable distance in downtown Loveland (ice cream, coffee shop, restaurants, bars, etc).
Thank you Kate and your staff for creating a fun and happy core memory for us and creating an experience that we'll never forget. You were able to take so much stress off of us and make the event planning an easy and pleasant experience. The venue was amazing but working with you was truly the best part.

From start to finish Kate was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond when she saw opportunities to add more value to our wedding day. She offered lots of help finding local vendors and discounts in the planning phase. Kate was forth coming with any potential issues and quick solutions and was tentative to the bridal party all morning as we got ready and had vendors entering and exiting the venue. She was personally present for most of the time to handle any issues or ensure things ran smoothly.
You will get so much more than just a building/location when booking here. We could not speak higher about our experience.
We highly recommend using The 1859 to any couple looking to plan their wedding in the Cincinnati area. The 1859 is a beautiful venue and Kate had great expertise in event planning.

ests. The island allowed for a carving station at one end, and a pasta station at the other, with all of the other side dishes in the middle – it was perfect! The perfect set up for food, bar and decorations made for a very elegant evening. The staff was extremely helpful, as well.

ir video screen, and microphone worked flawlessly - no tech issues at all. The use of the piano was so much fun. Tables looked amazing, not too crowded. We had a few extra flowers, and Kate decorated the buffet counter for us. The bar and buffet line set up works out really well. And we had no issues with parking. Also, our security deposit was returned within days. Thanks so much for the great memories. If we have another event of this size, we’ll be sure to contact Kate again.

enue inside and out! My husband mentioned how we didn’t even need to have that many decorations because the venue itself is already decorated so nicely and I couldn’t agree more! We loved the use of the courtyard area to hold the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Kate and her team are great to work with! Kate is great with communication. We also went through the cater she recommended, All That Ingredients. Leah was awesome! Her pricing was great and the food was amazing! My husband and I got compliments all night about how cute the venue was and how great the food was. I wouldn’t change anything about our wedding! I highly recommend The 1859 for any type of event.

It includes a very nice area for both the bride and groom to get ready, a gorgeous background for the ceremony, and indoor and outdoor locations for the ceremony and pictures. Our wedding was in January, so we had an indoor ceremony, but we used the outdoor space for pictures. Overall, I could not be happier with Kate and the 1859. She really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special.

The bride & groom’s suites are really nice and had everything we needed. Our guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail hour on the patio while the room was flipped for our reception.
Kate was amazing to work with from day 1, and on the day of the event she took care of so many things for us - even handing out the foam glow sticks we brought for the kids! Her & her family were so friendly and welcoming to my family and guests, it really made for a great experience customer service-wise. I can’t tell you how many guests came up to us to tell us how much they loved the venue & how unique it was. Everyone had a blast & I am so sad it’s over! I have nothing but wonderful memories of our wedding at The 1859 😁

everything was where it was suppose to go. The wedding was originally suppose to be outside but due to rain we switched it inside which I am so glad we did because it was beautiful! We did a California style where guest sat at tables, the immediate family sat in chairs up front. It was perfect! The 1859 is beautiful and really impressed all my friends and family! Her husband shane was our officiant and also the preacher of the church I attend. Shane took so many pictures during my wedding and I am forever grateful since I didn’t have many photos for myself. They had a giant suite for the groomsmen and a beautiful room/lounge area for the bridesmaid which was so nice for getting ready for the ceremony.
