Based in Truckee, CA, Tahoe North Films Photography has been capturing love stories in the Lake Tahoe region since 2019. Founder Greg Tennyson brings a calm presence, an eye for detail, and years of experience to every wedding he photographs. While Tahoe is home, Greg happily travels across Northern California to document weddings with care and artistry.
Every package includes a second photographer, a minimum of four hours of coverage, a curated selection of professionally edited digital images, and a sneak peek shared soon after your wedding. Your final gallery is delivered both online and on thumb drives in a beautiful keepsake box, complete with full print rights.

we had with him were productive and helpful. He even came out to the town (Genoa) we were getting married in to 'scout out' good spots to take pictures a month before the wedding.
Greg was accommodating to time, how we felt as a couple and helped us remember to enjoy our day!! Often enough when it is your big day you get stressed out and he made sure that we were all in the moment, and helped guide us throughout the day, and we were ahead of time the entire day!! He goes the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of in every way necessary. Food, water, too hot? too cold?, need anything extra?? He is always prepared for everything and is always checking in!
His second shooter and himself worked well together and you could tell that they were on the same page. My dress had a long train so they made sure that no one stepped on it and kept an eye on the little details that might've gone amiss.
When we got our sneak peak photos we were so happy with the results!!! The pictures are beautiful and they were so much better than we imagined! Greg and his staff go the extra mile to make sure that they can help in whatever way that may be... we had to be out of a venue at midnight and as my crew was packing up he stepped in and helped!! We were not expecting it at all but, that is the person that you are hiring -- someone who is thoughtful to his surroundings, you and your spouse & goes with all the ebs and flows of a wedding day! Couldn't recommend him and his staff enough!!

ng. However, I have to make an update because I have to admit, I'm really not impressed with the finished product. I absolutely hate to leave a bad review but our wedding was the very end of February. A time we have been told over and over again from many people in Lake Tahoe that it is a very slow wedding time. So for receiving the completed images after 3 months.. that was unexpected. My sister is a professional photographer in San Francisco. I asked her what the normal turn around time is in general and she said it could take 3 months so if I don't hear anything back, I should reach out. (I know I could have asked her but I really wanted her to enjoy herself and not work)
Well after the teasers, I never heard anything back so just before it turned to 3 months, I reached out asking for an update.
I was told they were finishing up. Ok, fine. I don't want to rush, I know editing could take time. It just would have been nice if there was communication. After 3 months, I was told it should be another week. After 2 weeks I reached out again asking for an update confused since the wedding was supposed to be in slow wedding season. Now if they got busy with random shoots that's fine but again, there was no communication. If anything, I just kept thinking they forgot about my pictures and were last minute trying to complete them.
Well shortly after, I got an email saying they are starting to load the images.
There were some beautiful images and then there were really awkward images with terrible angles or it seemed like there was no editing minus turning some images into a sepia or black and white.
My husband asked if there were more and I thought there should be since there weren't any of the cake and very minimal of just us. So I reached out again and asked if there were more.
I was told yes and that they would let me know when they were all uploaded.
June 22, I received an email that all images were now uploaded. Our wedding was on February 28th.
I looked at the finished images and just.. although there are a few good images in there, I don't really like most of them. Such terrible angles, editing seems subpar and not enough of just me and my husband.
I honestly feel like they forgot about them and rushed it in the end.
One other thing my husband pointed out to me and I got pretty sad after was that there is not a single photo of just me in my dress. Not one. I'm always with someone whether blurred or not.
I know I am camera shy and they helped with the poses, but nothing of just me. My husband has so many whether he is purposely posing or they're candid. I just wish I had at least one full body single image of me.
Again, I hate leaving negative reviews. Greg was so nice but I'm pretty unhappy with the wait and finished product.

We needed a photographer that would also snowboard down the mountain with us. Greg was 100% up for the adventure! He was literally the only photographer I found that was not only excited to do the snowboard part, but didn’t charge an arm and a leg for it!
The pictures turned out so much better than I could have ever dreamed. With all the challenges we encountered on our wedding day, the pictures were not one of them and turned out amazing.

prep our set list. On the wedding day itself, Greg and Sara were absolute rock stars, capturing every moment big and small. It sometimes seemed like there were two of each of them -- that's how active they were in making sure they got everything! They were also both incredibly kind in reassuring us as we ran behind schedule, and were diligent in making sure that we still got every photo on our list and then some.
While it did take a bit longer than expected (about 8 weeks) to receive the final photos after the wedding, they were 100% worth the wait! Every photo was just gorgeous, and they caught so many of the beautiful little things that fly by in the day-of blur. Touching photos of our family members shedding happy tears, laughing and hugs between our bridal party and friends, little secret smiles shared between the bride and groom when we thought no one was looking... they caught it all, seemingly by magic, as they never felt intrusive or in the way. We seriously can't stop looking at the photos, and wish we had room in our home to print and frame all of them!
If you want beautiful wedding photos at an incredible price, from some of the nicest photographers you'll ever meet, you definitely need to book Tahoe North Films. We will forever be grateful to Greg and Sara for taking photos that we will truly cherish for a lifetime!

Greg showed up with Sarah on our big day and they worked so well together to make sure no shots were missed. They were able to start delivering photos within a few days after the wedding via our custom website. It was so fun checking back daily to see all the new ones that were being added. When looking for a photographer, that's one thing I really noticed about Greg's work - it tells a story. It's not the standard cookie cutter wedding photo album. He really has a great eye for detail and expressing emotions through his photos. I would highly recommend Greg and his team for your wedding day. He is extremely reliable and quick with delivering photos. He even sent us a really sweet photo book for our coffee table. We also added the highlight reel which came out so good! I feel as if we would have paid twice as much for the same results with a different photographer. Trust me - you will not be disappointed!

His background in commercial photography as well as wedding photography helps him capture the most poignant moments and put people at ease so shots can be the most natural. He gave careful attention to capturing not only great shots of us as a couple and our bridal party but other family members and friends enjoying the day with us. He does beautiful digital retouching of your images that helped me look my best in each and every photo. My sister's photographer only edited her pictures and I can tell you there is a big difference in the final product!
He also makes time to get photos of your venue and wedding decor so you can always remember all the smallest details of your day. He included an amazing photo album of our day in our package. I would recommend him to all couples who value the quality of your photos on your wedding day. He's the best!
