Jessica at SWD Floral is amazing!
Jessica did a wonderful job making my wedding floral dreams come to life. Wedding planning in general can be stressful but working with vendors w...
ho you trust can make that experience special. Jessica and I collaborated met in person and spoke online to get the vision for the day flushed out.
I really wanted to incorporate my handmade ceramics and husbands hand carved wooden candle stick holders as part of the design for the wedding table scape. Jessica made the most beautiful whimsical arrangements in the ceramic bowls I made!
I also wanted a unique floral installment for the ceremony and decided to DIY some large organza flowers and Jessica made a beautiful box design to go along the bottom! I ended up loving how everything looked it was such a fun and collaborative experience.
I highly recommend getting a mock up! I was able to get a glimpse of how the flowers would look day of and was so happy I did so.
Overall, would highly recommend hiring Jessica as your florist.
Jessica was amazing to work with! After one phone call she understood the tropical look I was going for. The arch was amazing, and she stayed until I saw my bouquet to make sure I ...
was happy with it. I was ecstatic with how she brought my vision to life! Thank you so much.
SWD Floral was a great floral company to work with for the flowers on my wedding day. Jessica was super easy to work with and answered any question I had. She was very polite and k...
ind both during the planning process and on my wedding day. The flowers she provided for the wedding arch, my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, cake, and tables were all GORGEOUS. My colors were light blue, green, and white, and she did a fantastic job of incorporating those in each piece. Thank you Jessica!
Brides - with a million things on your plate and so many wedding florists to choose from, I wouldn’t waste my time with SWD Floral. My experience with Jessica Westervelt was a poo...
r one. On my wedding day, she walked into my dressing room without introducing herself and rudely asked, “Where do you want these?” referring to my bouquets. She had been very polite and professional in our conversations leading up to the wedding, so her attitude took me by surprise. When I saw the bouquets, my heart sank because they were not the right color pink I wanted. I was still getting ready and with my ceremony only 2 hours away, I decided not to say anything since there wasn’t enough time to get new flowers and I had enough on my plate, so I politely told her they looked nice. Jessica did not have a friendly demeanor throughout my wedding day and that carried over into afterwards. When I returned from my Honeymoon, after battling with wether I should say anything to her or not, I decided to reach out to Jessica to let her know I was disappointed in the flowers and I requested a partial refund. Instead of reaching out to me via phone to discuss my concerns and diffuse the situation, she escalated it by exchanging emails in which she was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Eventually, we settled on her refunding me for my bouquet since I had specifically asked for roses and peonies only in my bouquet, but Jessica took the liberty of adding ranunculus as well which I had specifically asked her not to do prior to the wedding. Jessica does offer to complete a mock-up centerpiece prior to the wedding for an additional cost, but it was absurdly overpriced, so I declined since my colors of white and light pink were very straight forward (or so I thought), I had already sent her several photos and shared my Pinterest board with her to show examples of the light pink color I wanted, and I had told her my vision via our many phone/email conversations prior to the wedding day. I do not intend to be malicious and I struggled with whether I should post a negative review or not, but I wish I would have seen a review like this when initially shopping for a florist and this whole experience could have been avoided. The flowers were one of the most meaningful decorations for me, not to mention they were the most expensive item of my wedding aside from the venue. I hope this review helps a Bride To Be avoid a similar unpleasant experience on your wedding day.
SWD Floral was a delight to work with. Jessica was very communicative and professional and delivered beautiful flowers. I absolutely love the way they turned out!
Jessica was so easy to work with. She was very responsive, attentive and was able to work with our budget and create the vision we were looking for. I sent her a few pictures of wh...
at I wanted and our flowers turned out even better than I expected! Everything was so beautiful and seamless. One of the flowers even fell off my floral collar for my dog when he shook his head really hard, and she was able to fix it on the spot. She was also able to create unique pieces for each to the groomsmen for their boutonnières, so that they weren't exactly matching but still had a cohesive look. She went above and beyond, I HIGHLY recommend her and her team for any of your floral needs! Thanks again Jess!!! :)
Jessica is hands down THE FLORIST of your flowery dreams. She understands color story, scale, texture, shape, and overall concept with an incredible eye for detail. She takes your ...
inspiration pictures, asks pointed questions about what it is you like about them, and then executes a piece of floral masterpiece. SHE'S TRULY A DREAM.

uet, everyone loved the centerpieces that smelled ridiculously fragrant, I loved the clusters, every single thing, and the single gold circle arch was lovely. The flower color range was perfect, and the size of the roses and peonies were jaw droppingly humongous. Thank you for patiently working with me (and my details and pickiness) and creating such a romantic and ethereal wedding!!!
I'm extremely happy that we went with SWD Floral to design the flower arrangements for our wedding! Jessica was wonderful to work with! Very responsive, professional, and will hel...
p you every step of the way when making decisions on designing the look you want for your special day. We talked on the phone soon after I first reached out to her so that she could find out exactly what I wanted and needed…my wedding colors, what I like and don’t like in floral arrangements, her recommendations, and then she provide me with beautiful photos of what she would provide for my wedding and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Come our wedding day, everything came out exactly as I had dreamed it - colors, texture, and all. I loved everything!
Our wedding was originally set to have about 100 guests but due to COVID 19 we had to change our entire wedding plans. Less than a month before our date, we decided to get married in my parent’s backyard with about 40 guests. Jessica was flexible and so professional with me as we navigated making MANY adjustments. Despite the global pandemic, Jessica and her team delivered.
I received many compliments on how beautiful my flowers were, and I couldn’t have been any happier. I recommend SWD Floral to anyone, trust me you won’t be disappointed!
Jessica is amazing! I had the pleasure of having Jessica for my wedding flowers and boy oh boy did she go above and beyond! My wedding as a whole was very neutral and I didn't want...
traditional centerpieces so when we had a consult and talked through exactly what my husband and I were thinking of, she gave us some ideas (which is so nice to have it mapped out for you!) and we ended up going with different height vases with small buds in each, candles and some greenery on each table. It was such a dream come true and was exactly what I was imagining in my head! It tied the entire wedding together and looked so soft and magical which is just what I wanted. She also listened to my budget and realistically told me what we could do and couldn't do with it, which is so amazing. Highly, highly recommend!
SWD Floral was the best florist a bride could ask for! Jessica was so knowledgeable about different types of flowers and how they complement each other. She also made the process...
so easy (a HUGE help when planning a wedding). I just pinned some pictures of floral arrangements to my Pinterest, she reviewed them and created a concept board with suggestions to enhance the design and we met to discuss what my husband and I liked and didn't like. On the day of our wedding, the flowers looked beautiful! SWD Floral delivered and set up everything on time, was very professional, and was able to adapt to last minute changes. (I had mis-counted how many boutonnieres we needed and Jessica was nice enough to make one right then and there.) You will be very happy if you go with SWD Floral. I recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a florist.
When interviewing Floris for our wedding the one person that stood out above all with compassion and understanding was Jessica! Unfortunately we had to push our wedding date back a...
year, she was willing to work with us and open up her schedule! In planning my bouquet and the rest of the flowers she did something a little special I had never seen before... Not knowing my father is from a small town called Little Rock in Arkansas called Cotton Plant! She added cotton plant to my bouquets because I was having a Fall wedding! This little spark of ingenious made my wedding that much more memorable! This past year in 2019 my mother passed away from her battle with breast cancer. The only person I could think of that I trusted to get flowers ready for my mother's memorial was Jessica! She heard what we needed and wanted and Assembled the flower stands perfectly! If I still lives in California and ever needed flowers for any event she is the only person I would contacts!
Jessica and SWD Floral- a great decision for our wedding!

ttom of our priorities so we literally told Jessica what we had in mind, set a budget, and let her do what she does best- create perfect arrangements that fit our style, budget, and needs. We didn't do any mock ups or even provide examples of what we excepted yet Jessica was able to "read our minds" and deliver on awesome arrangements for our big day.
She was able to re-purpose arrangements from ceremony/cocktail hour to reception in order to help us stay on-budget. Our guests loved the arrangements so much that they walked out with the centerpieces- good thing we decided to pay for the flower containers ahead of time ;)
Thank you Jess for making our big day even more elegant with your talents.

She also made me an amazing flower crown for my later maternity photos! Can’t suggest enough having her for your wedding- you’ll be nothing short of amazed and happy!

You will not be disappointed if you choose Jess to be your visionary-she will exceed your expectations.

We started talking about my look and i showed her my inspiration centerpieces, turns out she was actually the one that make all the looks i liked. She was so incredibly sweet and understanding throughout our entire planning process! imal lover like us and we bonded very quickly over that! When we had our first meeting to talk floral designs for our Labor Day weekend wedding, she listened intently to what we like, what we prefer to avoid (my husband didn't want anything "pokey" and that became a running inside joke) and also listened and was very conscious about our budget. She never told us no, instead she provided options based on our budget. When we arrived at our venue the day of our wedding, we were blown away with what she had created! She not only handled all of the arrangements, she also put together our Chuppah and draped all of the fabric.
My bouquet was breathtaking and my bridesmaids' bouquets matched perfectly. Not only was she so much fun throughout but she also remained very professional - even when she had to build large arrangements in 100 degree weather. We got married this past LDW at the Ebell in Long Beach.
We highly recommend Jessica and the SWD team for all your floral and design needs!
WOW! That is the best word I can use to describe Jessica's work. I don't know anything about flowers so I fully left everything in her hands. I had a brewery wedding with grey and ...
orange as my colors. She made the most beautiful orange bouquets and and stunning hop pilsner centerpieces. She even stayed through my ceremony to help flip the space to my reception. She has a love for flowers that can't be beat. I highly recommend Jessica (SWD Floral) to any bride. You won't be disappointed.
