hile also capturing the joy and authenticity of the day. The “formal” portraits are perfect for printing, etc. and but the candids were (in our opinion) the real keepsakes. We now have about a thousand (if not more, Carrie and Ganer do not skimp on the number of photos) of all our favorite people meeting, hugging, and dancing the night away, which is truly priceless. So, if you’re looking for a skilled photographer with a photojournalistic style, hire SLL. But beyond that, we loved working with Carrie because she is also a truly delightful human. She provided useful guidance about her process from the beginning, regularly checking in with us before the wedding and answering questions about timelines and details. She made our engagement shoot feel fun and playful, despite neither of us feeling particularly comfortable in front of a camera in our normal lives. Carrie was also one of the few photographers we found in the Nashville/Bowling Green area who seemed open and comfortable with diverse and/or non-traditional weddings. On the day of, she handled wrangling our sprawling, interracial families with aplomb, rolling with the punches all day long. After the wedding, our friends and family remarked not just on how much they loved the photos, but also on how they had enjoyed meeting and spending time with Carrie and Ganer. In short, these folks are worth their weight in gold; our only regret is waiting this long to write a review.
