We cannot say enough wonderful things about Sumptuous Catering. They catered our wedding on Cape Cod this summer and exceeded every possible expectation—from the very first tasting...
to the last bite served on our big day. The food was phenomenal: beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and talked about by our guests for weeks afterward. Many even said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had.
Equally impressive was the team’s professionalism and warmth. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly, anticipating our needs before we even thought of them and treating our guests with exceptional care and attention. Planning with Sumptuous was also a joy—they listened to our vision, customized the menu to reflect our tastes, and delivered on every promise with incredible precision. A special shout-out to the owner, Shannon Mahoney, who took special care to ensure the needs of the bride and groom didn’t get lost in the shuffle! We spent a lot of time during the cocktail hour taking photos, but Shannon made sure we didn't go without appetizers! (And such delicious appetizers they were!) That is the kind of touch that sets Shannon and Sumptuous apart, in our opinion. We are grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend Sumptuous to anyone looking for an exceptional caterer.

Lea even made sure I ate amidst the flurry of photos. We highly recommend this catering company for any event big or small! Thank you for making our wedding day spectacular. re still talking about the amazing hors d'oeuvres and entrees at our wedding. And she and her team managed to serve plated dinners to our 200+ guests (in a tent no less) in under 20 minutes... no small feat! We would recommend Shannon and Sumptuous unconditionally.

ieve if not for her, our wedding day would have been filled with stress! ding of our type and size and its like she knew what I wanted before I asked for it. Everything was perfect including the tasting! Shannon also worked with me on all of the rental items needed to cater the event, so I never had to worry that there were enough plates, or forks etc etc. The day of was executed flawlessly! Shannon and Lea made sure that my husband and I ate. They went above and beyond and brought drinks and appetizers to us. Everyone still raves about the food to this day. I will be recommending Sumptuous any chance I can get! We are forever grateful to them!
I was married July 2012 and I had Sumptuous cater my wedding at Chequessett Yacht and Country Club. I cannot say enough good things about Sumptuous.

annon was great. She was SUPER responsive, so laid back but so oriented to detail and SO personable. She is so experienced, and I (the type A crazy personality that I am) truly felt comfortable taking suggestions and having her run the show.
Secondly, the food was AMAZING. The appetizers were to die for (highlights were the shrimp, lamb and of course the oyster bar) and everyone had a chance to try everything. The surf and turf was amazing as well. The fish - OH MY GOD was cooked to perfection. Everyone kept raving about it - even months afterwards and say its the best wedding food they have ever had. It was just delicious; along with the sirloin and lobster mashed potatoes. The waiters/waitresses were great! So friendly and nice!
During the actual wedding, Leah, who works with Shannon was at my wedding to run/coordinate the event. She was AMAZING. After the ceremony all of our guests bombarded my husband and I - however she charged on through everyone and got us our own plate of appetizers, oysters and drinks. She not only made sure the night went without a hitch - but she checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. She is so laid back and likable - and gets her job done!!! We happened to have a DJ who was insane - and she helped keep the DJ in check.
Shannon, Leah and Sumptuous were an absolute delight to work with. I appreciate all of their input and help with planning the wedding. It made planning easier and less stressful. I am SO happy that Sumptous catered my event, and I would recommend no one else!
