Sumo Sounds was the best decision that we made for our wedding. Dennis was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to do everything the way we wanted to. When we told him our r...
equests, he was able to lean on his expertise and deliver what we asked for while maintaining a great flow to the wedding ceremony and reception. Once the dancing started, he kept the party going and the dance floor was always packed. Dennis is willing to play any requests, but I found that letting him choose the songs that fit your desires lead to a great party.
It was very important to my groom and I that we have awesome music for maximum dancing at our reception. When I reached out to Sumo Sounds, Dennis Woo responded right away. He rema...
ined so throughout the entire process, answering all of my questions and then some. We provided him with a must play, and a do not play, list and he stayed true to both. On the day, Dennis arrived on schedule, was lovely to work with, and people really seemed to enjoy themselves on the dance floor. When I asked him to announce some names over the mic, for pictures, he was more than happy to accommodate. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks Dennis!
Dennis and crew are some of the best DJ's working anywhere. I believe that enough that I've not only recommended him to plenty of satisfied people (and I've probably attended a doz...
en weddings he's DJ'ed), but used him for my own wedding. The thing about Dennis is he's more than just the guy playing music or emceeing, though he's great at both. He's your reception coach. After hundreds of weddings he knows what makes or breaks a reception. He helped my wife an I plan out the order of events so we wouldn't break up the energy once things got going. He kept the dance floor packed and my friends have been talking about our wedding for months now. Sumo Sounds are the best of the best.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! My daughter's birthday party could not have gone any better. You've helped me and my husband get a lot of points that night. She was ...
worried about having her party because some of the other birthday parties she's been to were boring or awkward so you can imagine her excitement when she saw your setup.
The blacklights were a huge hit and the kids loved that you had all the songs they wanted to hear. Seriously, it's been a year and her friends are still talking about it! Thank you again, we were so happy with your work and happy to recommend you.

The guys at Sumo Sounds were a pleasure to work with! They did a ridiculously good job making our wedding reception memorable for everyone! Friends still talk about our reception -...
- the quality music, the energy out on the dance floor, and what a party it was. They do it right!
Sumo Sounds was easy to connect with, quick to respond, and they really took to heart the requests we had for how the reception would go. I've been to a couple other weddings where Sumo Sounds was the DJ, and every time I'm impressed and have a total blast. We highly recommend them!
The DJ was top notch, always played something fun at the right times and slow at the right times. Excellent person to talk to too if you get the chance! Really knows his stuff
Oh my God! These guys were so, so, so good! Seriously I can't believe how amazing they were. I have been to so many weddings and the DJ is almost always the worst part (aside from ...
the crazy drunk family members, right?). They're always late and rude and never seem to play what the guests want to hear. It's always the same 10 songs you hear on the radio over and over. Not true with Sumo Sounds! Dennis was an amazing DJ. He listed to requests not only from myself and my hubby, but even our friends and family! Everything was perfect and smooth. His introduction of the wedding party was effortless: he actually made a point to make sure he was saying everyone's names correctly before the reception started!! I was so impressed. There wasn't a single awkward moment of dead air and every song fit the feeling of the moment perfectly. I am so happy we decided on Sumo Sounds to DJ our wedding. Our friends are still talking about how fantastic the DJ at our wedding was. Thank you Dennis for making the best day of my life even better. You rock!!
