choices! And after the tasting, where we received such personal and thoughtful service, there was no doubt we had made the right choice! Our guests were so impressed with the delicious entrees, and everything was presented so beautifully. Julie Glass was excellent to work with and helped make the process and pricing clear. I highly recommend working with her and with Sugar Pine for an incredible, elevated dinner and dessert selection! The drunken spare rib was the crowd favorite, and the ice-cream sandwich bar also got rave reviews! The wedding day staff did a great job, as well!

able to ask for extra hor dourves because they were delicious. Sarah and the team were extremely responsive and accommodating, and I loved working with them. Countless guests said they had never had better food and wanted to go to their restaurant before they left town. The team kept everything running smoothly and made the experience seamless. I recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful meal and to impress any guests!

day run very smoothly, and I know I'm biased but it was definitely some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding. One guest even asked me for the recipe for the cannelloni which I did not have because I was the groom and not the chef. A lot of their food is local and seasonal so it can be a little tricky setting up a tasting with them - we weren't able to try a few of the dishes we wanted to have at our summer wedding because our tasting was in the winter. But everything we tried both at the tasting and day of was really exceptional. We'd highly recommend Sugar Pine Catering!

clean. I can confidentally say it was the best wedding food I've ever had. We had 120 people at our wedding and did plated meals - everyone got their food quickly and everyone's food was hot. On top of how amazing the food was, the staff was just incredible to work with. They were extremely responsive and so kind. Sugar Pine goes out of their way to ensure the food is local and you can taste it in the food. And their plating is beautiful!!

disappointed in our experience with Pine. We used Pine Pizzeria (subset of Sugar Pine). We should have known not to move forward with them from when we went to their restaurant for a “tasting”. We were told we could go to the restaurant to “sample their offerings” and when we arrived nobody at the restaurant knew we were there as wedding clients, we had to mention this to them, and then come to find out most of the items on the catering menus aren’t even available to try at the restaurant. It then took over an hour to get our food… We still have our meal there (which wasn’t cheap) and are brought the bill for over $100 (we sort of assumed since we were clients and had already paid thousands in a deposit we would get some sort of discount…this was also not the case). So overall this was not a great start to this relationship. Then the actually wedding comes around. We had mentioned multiple times that even at tables that were not full, we wanted a setting at each chair for continuity, and my partner and I planned to move around tables so we wanted settings. Our coordinator put them there, Julie (with Pine) pulled them..even after our coordinator told them we wanted them there. So we go to sit down, and we (the bride and groom) don’t have place settings where we expected. We asked the catering team for a plate, they got us this but didn’t even bother to grab us silverware (which should be obvious since we had salads). Next, we also ended up paying for more guests than we had attend the wedding, and they still ran out of food (after limiting our guests to 1-2 small slices of pizza). 1. We were never told guests would have limited slices and 2. Guests mostly had one round of food (so 1-2 small slices) before they ran out, and again, we paid for more guests than attended. One of my biggest concerns was not having enough food - and unfortunately this is exactly what happened. We also come to find out our photographer was trying to take some photos of the pizzas being made, and was told to stop which we also were never told was even an issue. The team actually cooking (Preston and the other chef) were great and working so hard. We are only giving any stars on this review just for them. Outside of this - we couldn’t be more frustrated and disappointed in the experience we had with the overall Pine team.

e day of the wedding. The food was top notch. We heard from many of our guests on how much they enjoyed the food. We highly recommend using Sugar Pine for your wedding catering needs!

Probably the best mashed potatoes to exist.

the entire process, quick to respond, happy to walk us through every detail of the quote, and always open to questions or adjustments. Not to mention that the food and drinks were phenomenal! One of the things that really stood out was how thoughtfully they accommodated our parties dietary needs. From vegan to gluten-free and everything in between, they made sure every guest had something delicious to enjoy. Their flexibility and attention to detail took a huge weight off our shoulders during the planning process. Beyond providing amazing food/beverages, they were always open to offering helpful insights into logistics, timing, and even elements of the event that went outside the scope of catering. It truly felt like they were part of our team, not just a vendor. If you're looking for a vendor that’s professional, kind, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making your day special, look no further. We can't recommend them highly enough!

we wanted to make sure everything turned out perfectly. The food was incredible! All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. We had a mix of Indian, Chinese, and locally sourced dishes, which was a tall order, but they handled it all so well. The variety, quality, and flavor were seriously impressive—everything was delicious! On the day of the wedding, their service was flawless. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing, and everything ran so smoothly. If you’re looking for a caterer who’s talented, professional, and easy to work with, we highly recommend Sugar Pine Catering.

but also because they use produce that is locally grown and have a passion for making food that is in season. Going into wedding planning, we were disgruntled about how much food costs for weddings, even though guests never seem to recall (or even really enjoy) the food. You also assume that the food you taste at the tasting will be of higher caliber and the real deal will fall short; we experienced this first hand when our other catering option catered a wedding for one of our friends with the same entrees). That was NOT the case with Sugar Pine. The feedback we heard most about the wedding was how good the food was. Guests are used to bland, cold, bulk prepared food at weddings; so when they received the beautifully plated, fresh, delicious meal, it blew them away. In addition to the delicious food, Julie was a joy to work with and all of our questions were answered promptly. We are so grateful that we went with Sugar Pine!

inish, everyone at Sugar Pine was responsive, professional and more importantly people loved the food at our wedding. Many of our guests commented on the food and the service! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone hosting a wedding or any other type of event!

ghly recommend!

. During the catering vendor selection process, he was by far the most responsive vendor I submitted an inquiry to and turned around a proposal before several other caterers I had met with a week prior. He was very patient and answered all of my questions and also offered helpful suggestions along the way. To finalize our menu, we elected to do a tasting with Sugar Pine, which was a great experience and gave us peace of mind regarding our menu choices. On the day of our wedding, Lance and the rest of the team at Sugar Pine Catering were attentive, courteous, and so caring. We elected to serve the food buffet style - everything was delicious, and the portions were generous! When you’re selecting wedding vendors, it’s like assembling a team. Sugar Pine Catering is definitely a vendor that you want on your team! All of my other vendors spoke highly of him and the team following our reception.

r mobile woodfired pizza oven, which was such a hit. Not only was the pizza delicious, but the team made the night even more special by involving us in the pizza-making process—so much fun! For our wedding reception, they crafted a customized seasonal, farm-to-table menu that perfectly reflected our tastes. From the mouthwatering appetizers to the incredible main courses of honey miso poached cod and braised short rib, every dish was outstanding. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. The catering staff was top-notch, professional, and added to the fun atmosphere of our events. They even went the extra mile to make us a special cocktail syrup for our signature drink at the bar, adding a personalized touch to the night. Sugar Pine Catering truly specializes in creating menus that are unique to each couple, and their attention to detail and flavor made our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend!

trout was a unique farm-to-table dish, not something you typically find at weddings. We chose family-style dining, which made the meal interactive and fun, with plenty of food for everyone to enjoy. The bartenders were personable, and the entire wait staff was impeccable. The cocktail tasting was next level, making it hard to choose, but our two signature cocktails were a hit. Lance, the coordinator, was on top of every detail, helping us stay within our budget while suggesting ways to enhance our guests' experience. During the tasting, we even had the opportunity to speak with the chef, which made us feel special and valued. We’ve been to many weddings where the food wasn’t memorable, but at ours, everyone commented that this was one of the best meals they’d ever had at a wedding. Highly recommend!

re always ready and willing to help with anything and everything! The food was incredible and all of our guests were raving about it! The wait staff was superb and quick and efficient!! We will definitely be back to enjoy a dinner or lunch from them in the future!

meals were delicious, and all of our guest who ordered the salmon were raving about it the next day. The staff were attentive and made sure me and my husband never needed anything. We highly recommend!

it. From servers to bartenders we couldn’t have asked for better staff. Julie who was our client experience coordinator was absolutely amazing. She paid attention to every detail and made sure the day of ran smoothly. She always made sure my husband and I were taking care of. We highly recommend Sugar Pine Catering.

hey had so many gluten free options. We would recommend Sugar Pine catering to anyone looking for a caterer (for a wedding or for any other event)

, and every dish was not only beautifully presented but also so tasty! The staff at Sugar Pine Catering were professional and attentive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. t states. Not only did their team deliver with our specific requests, they NAILED it. I went in blind due to the fact I couldn’t get there to do a food tasting, so I just trusted the process. Even though some items weren’t on their menu, they still were able to provide what we wanted with their special twists to it. It was actually a lot of fun- they may even save that menu for another southern event ;) All in all, Lance was super kind and easy going- made the whole process so much easier and smooth. I highly recommend them in the state of Colorado for all of your catering needs. 10/10

ing! My guests gave several compliments to the Sugar Pine Staff!

ctation in presentation and taste. Yummy!!!! AND locally sourced! Excellent in every way!

petizers were delicious as well as the meals and the mini dessert bites! Everyone loved the food and had wonderful things to say. Thank you sugar pine!!!

t tasting all the way to dessert on wedding day. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests with specific dietary needs were easily accommodated to. Too bad we won’t have to plan a wedding again ;) but I would 100000% work with Sugar Pine and recommend them.

lways knowing what questions to ask when we didn't know ourselves! He coordinated everything flawlessly on our big day - if there were any issues, we didn't get the slightest indication of it. The food was amazing at our tasting and reproduced faithfully for our event, and they worked with us within our budget to ensure we had everything we needed for rentals as well since our venue didn't handle that. All dietary needs were carefully accommodated and double-checked. They even helped pack up our extra food at the end of the night, which we were grateful to have the following week in the afterglow!

or a treat. Not only was the food incredibly delicious, but it was also curated with a farm-to-table approach, supporting local farms in Colorado—an aspect we deeply appreciated. Lance and the entire team at Sugar Pine Catering were an absolute pleasure to work with. Their responsiveness and organization made the planning process smooth and stress-free. We were thrilled with how they embraced some of our ideas, especially incorporating Cuban dishes to represent our heritage on our wedding day. Their ability to run with our concepts and create dishes that were not only delicious but also meaningful to us truly showcased their talent and creativity. Our guests are still raving about the food from our wedding day. From the assortment of options to the added touches based on our requests, Sugar Pine Catering exceeded our expectations in every way. As foodies, having a delicious meal was incredibly important to us on our special day, and Sugar Pine Catering delivered beyond measure. We cannot thank Lance and the team at Sugar Pine Catering enough for their exceptional service and culinary expertise. If you're looking for a caterer that will not only meet but exceed your expectations, look no further than Sugar Pine Catering. They made our wedding day truly unforgettable, and we are forever grateful for their incredible food and service. Highly recommend!

od and beverages at our wedding and we have Lance and the Sugar Pine team to thank for that!

dication to delivering personalized, memorable experiences for each event they cater, along with their innovative menu selections, sets them apart as a top-tier choice. Sugar Pine's commitment to quality and excellence aligns perfectly with the prestigious standards of Varone Market Venue, making them a deserving recipient of our five-star review.

dietary restriction was taken care of and didn't miss day-of-details like ensuring the bride and groom were well-fed throughout. Sugar Pine was so lovely to work with, and truly the best catered food we have ever tasted -- how lucky that it happened to be at our own wedding! Thanks for everything, Lance and team!

planning and was so accommodating and responsive. We had to make a number of changes to the final guest count and had a few dietary restrictions and we knew we were in such good hands. Everyone raved about how good the food is; we still hear people praising all the dishes months later, which says all you need to know. If we ever have another event that we needed catered we will absolutely be going to Sugar Pine.

reams come to life, and help you have the most fun, stress-free, organized planning experience- look no further!! The menu was simply fantastic, and our guests continue to rave about the food at our wedding. Even almost a month later, I get texts saying... "I wish I could eat your wedding dinner right now!" We feel the same way and actually find ourselves craving their delicious menu (especially the butternut squash cannelloni and their maple old-fashioned!) Beyond how good the food was, the entire Sugar Pine team made us feel so special at each step in the planning. They had the FASTEST response times to our several questions, helped us create a menu that felt so unique to us, and hosted the most special tasting experience for our families. On the big day, they made sure we always had a drink in our hands and even prepared a plate of appetizers for us while we signed our marriage license- we are still dreaming of the mac and cheese fritters! Sugar Pine paid so much attention to all the small details we were excited about and made each step in the planning process so much fun. I could not recommend Sugar Pine enough- we can't wait until the next time we get to hire them for future special events!

from our wedding. I can’t recommend this place enough.

to service. Bailey and Scott were so responsive and helpful in the months leading up to the event. They saw our vision for the day and used food, drinks, decor to bring it to life. Our guests raved about the food and people who do not normally drink cocktails were coming up to us saying how good the drinks were. The small decor details were also so appreciated and elevated the vibes of the event. We would book them 100x over if we had the chance to get married again.

ny days after our wedding. The staff and bartenders were kind and clearly experienced. 10/10 would recommend! Cons: Had to pay extra to try our cupcakes and specialty drink at our tasting.

nd walk you through the entire process so you don't miss a thing. They have so many different options and I really loved that they had a family style serving option. I wasn't a big fan of a buffet but loved that this was a happy medium between buffet and plated. It also allowed our guests to naturally talk with one another if they didn't know each other. The food at our wedding was amazing. We went into the process expecting the usual wedding food experience but one of the top comments that we have gotten about our big day was how fantastic the food was and asking who our caterer was. We selected the butternut squash cannelloni and drunken braised beef cheeks. If I could have the cannelloni every day I would. The beef was so tender you didn't need even a butterknife to eat it. Everything from start to finish was also plated so beautifully. Their bar service was fantastic. They worked with us to create 2 signature cocktails and offer a full open bar, but will work with you on whatever you need. They were extremely responsive and checked in every step of the way as well. Overall we were extremely happy with Sugar Pine and will be looking for their pop up events in the future to attend.

anyone else for our special day. We received SO many compliments on how great the food was, and I am so happy about that. We truly cannot recommend them enough. They are a fantastic team, and Lance is an incredible coordinator. Make sure you at least try their Butternut Squash Cannelloni!! That was one of the most amazing things we have ever tasted!

ettings at the tasting was not just easy, but also a really fun experience for my husband and I. Bailey at Sugar Pine Catering guided us through the process and helped us create a menu and setup that perfectly matched our vision - including working with us to have a custom Croatian appetizer! The food served at our wedding was not only delicious but also beautifully presented and perfectly paced (we went with family style). We got SO many compliments from all of our guests! We couldn't be more grateful and stoked with our experience with Bailey and the entire Sugar Pine staff! Thank you Sugar Pine!

You can tell that the staff and chefs at Sugar Pine truly love good quality food and care about where the ingredients are from. They put so much thought and care into their food which i think is what makes it so delicious. Lance was so great to work with. He was always easy to get in touch with and receptive to any changes we wanted to make along the way. He made the process fun and easy and helped walk us through things we might be missing or needed help with.
