Wow where do I even begin—Stratton Mountain is the most perfect, magical place to get married. I couldn’t imagine a better place to say “I do.” From start to finish it was the most... incredible experience.
It started with our tour with Courtney, who was the most personable guide. She didn’t push the sale and we talked about so much more than just the spaces we were seeing. She was the initial selling point and one of the reasons we ultimately chose Stratton as our venue.
Then we were handed off to our day of coordinator, Emily, and there are no words that are sufficient enough to express our immense gratitude to her. As someone who used to work in events, I know the time, effort, and stress that comes with this position and it’s not for everyone. But my god Emily was born for this role and she excels at it. She was an absolute ROCK STAR throughout the entire planning process, but especially on the day of. First, I know I was a difficult bride when it came to communication and planning. I wasn’t timely with responses and I procrastinated pretty much every task that was given to me. But not once did Emily make me feel guilty or a burden, and I truly appreciated her patience as I tried to manage the stress of wedding planning. She was kind, fun to work with, and best yet we shared a great commonality of being dog people and she showed an unbelievable amount of love to our fur baby, who we incorporated into the wedding. Emily’s talents especially shined on the day of, and she has been a big talking point amongst friends and family as someone who massively contributed to the success of our wedding. She was everywhere all at once managing logistics, trouble shooting any issues that arose, ensuring we followed the day’s timeline as best we could despite my hair and makeup setting us an hour behind (which Emily got us caught up in no time), and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the day. She was so on top of things that it has contributed to some funny highlight moments such as my brother forgetting a drink for his toast, and before he could finish calling himself out, Emily appeared out of thin air with a drink for him. If that doesn’t reflect her attention to detail then I don’t know what does. I could go on forever marveling at her capabilities and how fantastic she was to work with. Truly so indebted to her.
Finally, I can’t forget to extend my appreciation and praise to Kelsey, who I believe was Emily’s right hand, and the rest of the Stratton team. Despite only interacting with Kelsey briefly, it was evident she was just as sweet, professional, and competent as Emily and Courtney, and she ensured that set up and breakdown went well, and the space looked absolutely beautiful. The overall team handled our stuff with utmost care (we used some valuable, delicate decor of our own for cocktail hour) and everything returned to us in great shape and without anything missing.
Every staff member we interacted with in general were so friendly—the pickleball pros for our day before tournament, the front desk check-in attendants, the summit attendants, general workers, etc.
The food was also some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had (including the continental next day brunch which I notoriously find to be lackluster anywhere else), with guests raving about how delicious everything was.
We are SO grateful for Stratton and the enchanting weekend we had there. This will forever live in my memory as the best weekend of my life!!
