If you're getting married at Five Crowns (or honestly, anywhere in SoCal), you should absolutely book Steve Burdick. He was hands down one of the best vendors we worked with for ou...
r wedding, and we are still hearing from guests about how amazing the DJ was.
Steve was one of the preferred vendors for Five Crowns, and now we totally get why. From the very first phone call, he was incredibly detailed, thoughtful, and professional. He listened to everything we wanted and then gave us fantastic suggestions based on his professional experience. His planning tools made it so easy to organize the music and timeline, and he made sure all of our must-play songs were included.
One thing that stood out right away was how much Steve genuinely cares. He even reached out to our friend who was officiating our wedding (his first one ever!) and gave him tips on how to run the ceremony. Our friend ended up doing such a great job that people thought he was a professional officiant. He definitely didn’t have to do that, but it made such a difference and meant a lot to us.
On the day of the wedding, he showed up and had everything set up perfectly. He’s clearly a pro at Five Crowns and knows exactly what to do. Throughout the night, he kept the energy high and the dance floor full, without ever being over the top or cheesy. He was upbeat, fun, and just knew how to read the room. There were even a couple of moments where the crowd wasn’t vibing with a song, and he adjusted right away to keep things going. Everyone, even the shy guests, ended up dancing.
We also had a unique challenge where we wanted to run to every table to get a photo with each group. Steve was awesome at helping us coordinate it and keeping the momentum up. He also worked closely with our photographer throughout the night to make sure all the activities we planned went smoothly.
Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and emcee. Steve made the planning process feel easy, handled all the details we never would’ve thought of, and totally delivered on everything he promised. If we ever need a DJ again, he’ll be our first call without a doubt.
From our very first phone conversation, Steve was professional, approachable, and genuine. He was supportive throughout our wedding planning. He checked in periodically to see how...
we were doing, and he was always available if we had questions. He has a website that we were able to visit, at our convenience, and upload song preferences and choices, which simplified things. Weeks before the wedding we had a sit-down meeting with him and discussed the wedding: our goals, preferences, song selections. He gave advice and valuable feedback when we asked. We also took advantage of the other services that he offers: the photo booth and up-lighting. The uplighting significantly enhanced the ambience of the venue, giving it a magical quality. All my guests took advantage of the photo booth and had fun with it. It really broke the ice and brought out everyone's silly side. Soon after the wedding, we were sent a dropbox link that had all of the Photo Booth photos in it, which we were able to download. The best testament to Steve’s abilities, though, is how much fun everyone had at the wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor at some point, and a significant amount of the guests were on the dance floor all night long. I couldn’t recommend Steve enough; he is amazing.
Steve was amazing! Very attentive to our wants and requests and a lot of experience!

in about.
For our ceremony and reception my husband and I wanted some songs that were "non-traditional" but were unsure as to how that would play out the day of. Steve not only encouraged us and hyped us up to use the music we wanted, but he also went into step-by-step detail as to the timing of everything so we could clearly visualize the flow of the wedding.
On the day of, Steve was perfect in executing the timeline and helped get everyone on the dance floor. He helped make our day so personal and meaningful to us and we can't thank him enough!

e was absolutely one of the best value decisions we made for our wedding, and we would hire him again in a second! He accommodated all of our strange requests, he gave us honest and insightful feedback, and he was a joy to work with!
Steve did such a wonderful job on our wedding last night. Of all the vendors related to the wedding, Steve was my very favorite. He was so professional and so easy to work with. ...
There is a lot more involved than just hiring a DJ and Steve held our hands and guided us through the whole process. He helped us select music and create an order of events for the evening that really captured the "feel" we were looking for. He did a trivia game which I worried might not go over big, but our guests LOVED IT! Even very serious people got into the game and got so excited about their wins & prizes. He worked perfectly with our venue staff and even went out of his way to go introduce himself a few weeks before our event. He coordinated our live musician with the venue and his own production to make for a WONDERFUL event. He kept it classy and fun the whole night. Several of our guests asked for his card for their upcoming events. He was a pleasure to deal with at all times and was a crucial part of our wedding reception being a fabulous evening.
We just got back from our honeymoon, but we can’t stop thinking about how wonderful our wedding turned out. We loved all the music Steve played and he kept the night so lively and ...
fun. So many of our guests came up to us that night to compliment the amazing music. We were both surprised how many people were on the dance floor too, thanks to Steve!
It was the best night of our lives and we are so thankful for Steve in helping create such a wonderful night for us and our party!
We definitely recommend Steve for anyone who wants a DJ who really cares about you and your event, every step of the way!
From beginning to the end, Steve was the best!!!! The first question that Steve asked my husband and I was "What do you think a DJ is or what do you think their job is?" I said, th...
eir job is to take the audience through a journey, and when he agreed, I knew that he was the DJ from us. We had a variety of music being played (very diverse) and he was able to mix them so seamlessly. Everyone was dancing throughout the entire night!!!!! Even when we through some unforseen curveballs his way, he handled them so seamlessly and found the solution immediately. He is friendly, flexible, professional, and a down to earth guy who does everything with a passion and will exceed your expectations to make your event a memorable one. ALL OF OUR GUESTS LOVE HIM!!! Thank you Steve, from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding the best!!

s on music and ways to keep our guests entertained. Our reception was a lot of fun, and we owe that in large part to Steve who helped to keep the energy up by engaging our crowd through music and his MC skills. :)
AMAZING, PERFECT COULDNT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER!!! I DID NOT leave the dance floor, Steve was incredible! Not only was he a great DJ but he was a wonderful MC. I think as a DJ your goal...
is to move things along and get people dancing and Steve excelled in both of those!!! He played music that was geared towards what my husband and I liked not just what was popular. When I requested a song it was the next song that came on, I danced the night away! All of my friends and family had an incredible time, he has such a detailed client portfolio about the type of music you want played, when you want it played and that gave my husband and I so much trust in Steve to give us the perfect wedding entertainment. He is organized and passionate, I would use him again in a heartbeat!!!
