Steve Bowman Photography

roughout- was a very calming presence during an at times chaotic day! We love our wedding photos and would recommend Steve highly! Mattie and Syl

y good at posing and Steve made us super comfortable and was amazing at directing us what to do. He is quick with his work and deliverables which is amazing. Our bridal party also enjoyed his directness and funny sense of humor. Thank you Steve for all your hard work!

kly (usually within a day) and answered every question we had. For the engagement shoot and on the wedding day, he gave really helpful direction that made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which we normally are not. He’s also genuinely funny, which helped a lot. My husband, who normally hates taking pictures and thought our engagement session was going to be pointless, ended up actually having a lot of fun. The photos turned out incredible. He captured both posed and candid moments so well. Even though we didn't have much discussion about specific shots we wanted, you can tell Steve has been doing this a long time. We trusted him completely to get all the important photos and he did not disappoint. He also knew so many great spots around the city that were all close to each other but had completely different backgrounds, which gave us a ton of variety without adding extra stress or time to the day. He was very efficient with the time which turned out to be very valuable. Our ceremony started late so we were running behind, BUT we still got all the photos we wanted and got to the reception ahead of schedule! The best part, we received almost 700 photos!!! And the turnaround time was unbelievable — we had our full gallery within 24 hours. We had so many family and friends comment on how great our photographer was and how much they loved the photos. I will recommend none other than Steve to anyone looking for a photographer!

ghed our entire engagement session and our wedding day was beyond stress free. His website focuses more on the goofy pictures, but do not worry - you will get GORGEOUS classic pictures as well as those fun candids. AND you get the pictures back next day??? Stop looking and BOOK HIM.

laid back, and hilarious! The communication was on point and no matter what questions we had, Steve had the answer. He helped make our wedding day everything we wanted it to be, and more. I highly, HIGHLY suggest you reach out and book with him, you surely won’t regret it!

. Steve exceeded our expectations by a long shot! Not only was he efficient but he also was so creative in the photography shots he took. Our entire wedding complimented his style and timeliness. To top it all off, we received our photos within 24 hours of our wedding! Yes, all of our photos with 24 hours. Truly a dream experience and I would recommend him to every person that I know!

lain fun - even the still photographs captured more of the essence of the moment as opposed to just showing who was there. His website was funny, sarcastic, and basically matches him perfectly. We did meet with him once to discuss, but we knew as soon as the meeting was over that he would be our guy. Scheduling was easy, we had a really fun time getting to know him at the engagement shoot, and we came away with some great shots and a lot of laughs. Great communication leading up to the wedding. Perfectly prepared for day of. He’s incredibly skilled at making people feel comfortable for pictures through humor, which allows him to get people at their best. The photos he captured were truly remarkable, and there are countless in so many different poses and locations at our venues (hotel and brewery) that we will forever treasure. Steve will tell you he’s at his best when you let him use his very talented eye for the shot. Let him. And on top of that, he still carries himself as a professional, was very gracious. I really appreciated that he reached out beforehand to make sure he was well prepared for any wedding surprises, wanted to know of any family dynamics so that he could avoid creating awkward moments, and asked about any attendees with photosensitive conditions (a nice touch for the wedding of a neurologist). Pictures were available insanely fast and his distribution method makes things so easy for everyone to view. Ultimately, Steve is the perfect choice for a photographer if you could imagine yourself/friends/family in the pictures in his gallery. If you want boring staged pictures with every possible combination of family members up to and including third cousins, look elsewhere because that’s a waste of Steve’s talent. If you want pictures that you’ll look back at in 5, 10, 20 years and actually remember how you felt in that moment rather than just who was there, pick Steve. Again, best choice of our wedding day.

ctly balances mingling with guests/vendors/coordinators/bride/groom to get key shots but also never tried to make the entire day about taking photos. Communication/logistics: 10/10. I never had any issues getting a hold of Steve, asking questions about his pricing/inclusions, finalizing the contract, or receiving the final deliverables. Truly a dream vendor on this front. Engagement photoshoot: He walked us through the basic body positions and the casualness of how to have photos taken of us. This was SO helpful for the wedding day. We laughed through the entire hour, even though we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Photos were delivered that evening, and they were so candid, so fun, and so naturally us. Wedding: Apart from how talented he is at photography, our favorite thing about working with Steve was that we never felt bogged down by photography. Family and bridal party photos were snappy, we had plenty of getting ready shots that we love, and he listened to and captured the few photos requests we made. Looking back, I personally should have thought more about requesting more candid/1:1 shots with my parents but that is only because the few I do have came out so great. I wish I had more! Steve won't inundate you with every photo op possible, so be more prepared than I was and actually put some thought into "extra" photos you want. He even offered to take extra pictures at the end of the night - he clearly wants to let the couple dictate how intrusive photography is on the day of, which is PERFECT. However, as a couple, I recommend taking the time to think about your favorite shots that you want more of before the big day. Also, the turnaround time was mind-blowing. The link to our entire wedding album was ready within 24 hours. Overall quality: We have at least 1 photo of every guest who attended our wedding. That is so special to us. We also had several people from our wedding party comment on how much they enjoyed our photographer because of his biting British humor and overall easy-going style. I'd say everyone who interacted with him was impressed. I would recommend him to every single couple out there that wants beautiful pictures to remember the day but is not interested in spending all their free moments chasing down photo opportunities. It was important to us NOT to have the entire day be about trying to remember the day, but rather to live in the moment with our friends and family. Steve helped us do just that. THANK YOU STEVE!

d ceremony photos. We will treasure them for years to come!

I knew that I had found the perfect photographer for us. Steve's work is beautiful, raw, and NOT overedited like other photographers that I have seen. If you want to look pixelized then keep looking. Not only is Steve talented, but he is also great at communicating. He explains everything so well and keeps in touch throughout the entire process from phone calls, emails, text, etc. Steve takes the time to get to know you as a person. Steve learns your style, preferences, and works to capture your personality in EVERY picture taken. Steve captured our wedding beautifully. I could not recommend him more. You will have your pictures within a few hours to a couple days! He is the one of the most talented, fastest, photographers I've met. My husband and I are proud to show off our pictures and even prouder to tell others how quick we got them. Our wedding ended 11PM on a Saturday night and by Monday morning we had our pictures. With Steve, you will find your forever photographer. We will ONLY be going through Steve Bowman Photography

iciently Steve works. He had our photos to us by the next day and makes it easy to access them and share them with your family and friends. I really cannot say enough good things about Steve. His personality makes it easy for photos to feel more genuine as he had the wedding parties laughing and at ease. His photos speak for themselves. Steve was so great and he mixed in so well that he felt like a guest at our wedding in addition to a fantastic photographer.

in front of the camera, and it was so much fun getting to know him during our engagement session. We left that session with no doubt that he would knock our wedding photos out of the park. On our big day, he was a joy to have around. He seamlessly blended in and captured everything beautifully, from the excited flower girls to our elderly grandmas, and his incredible sense of humor kept our friends and family laughing all day long. The resulting photos were absolutely incredible. We're in love with our family photos, the individual portraits, and all the candid shots from the ceremony and reception. Beyond his amazing eye for a shot, what truly sets Steve apart is his professionalism and ability to handle the unexpected. Midway through our church ceremony, the power went out and did not come back on. Steve quickly pivoted and navigated the incredibly difficult lighting situation with ease. The photos from that part of the ceremony still turned out to be some of our favorites, which is a testament to his talent under pressure. For a small additional fee, he also helped us by taking candids at our rehearsal dinner and secured a second shooter to ensure he captured every moment of our large wedding. We can't recommend Steve highly enough. He’s more than a photographer; he’s an amazing person who brings a calm, confident energy to the most important day of your life. Thank you, Steve!

more like having a close friend with a camera than just a vendor. His energy was infectious, our family and friends loved him, and he made the whole day feel effortless. He has a true eye for capturing real, natural moments, not just posed shots. Steve is your man for your big day, or really any day.

ife and I hired Steve for our August 2025 wedding, and if I could’ve hired him twice, I would have. There’s only one Steve though, and he’s brilliant. From the very start, Steve impressed us. He’s exceptionally communicative. In the days leading up to the wedding, he kept in touch regularly via email, answering questions, sharing helpful tips, and putting us at ease. On the day itself, he checked in often to make sure we captured every must-have shot, while also suggesting new ideas on the fly. On our big day, drove through a massive thunderstorm to reach our wedding and still arrived right on time at my wife’s hotel to capture the “getting ready” moments. Then he promptly made his way to the venue, met with me for a few quick shots, and began scoping the best locations with an artist’s eye. Steve is a creative and adaptive. Despite our gray, rainy wedding day, our photos look bright and beautiful. He immediately spotted light, texture, and framing opportunities. He turned the less-than-ideal conditions into an absolute dream. Even with an active construction site next door, he positioned shots so perfectly that you’d never know it was there. He is also incredibly well-equipped. He carries multiple cameras and had lights and flashes at-the-ready. He makes the photo process fun. Even for someone like me, who has never been a fan of posing for pictures, Steve made it engaging and enjoyable. The results speak for themselves—everything from classic portraits to candid moments to creatively framed shots that showcase the beauty of our venue and guests. Steve’s speed was just as impressive as his skill. He delivered every single photo within two days of our wedding. The digital portal he hosts the photos on is fantastic. It's clean, easy to use, and accessible on any device. We could share our full gallery with friends and family instantly, saving us a lot of hassle! If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, professional, and an absolute joy to work with, hire Steve Bowman.

p of the process—from booking, to planning, to our engagement shoot, to the wedding day—was handled with clear communication, care, and ease. He made everything feel smooth and grounded, which is a gift during the chaos of wedding planning. I’m someone who typically feels awkward in front of a camera, but Steve’s presence was so comfortable, unpretentious, and fun that I actually enjoyed being photographed. He offered gentle, playful direction when needed, and otherwise blended in so seamlessly that many of our guests assumed he was a longtime friend. Multiple people came up to us afterward just to say how much they enjoyed having him there—he brought such good energy to the day. And then the photos—absolutely stunning. Every image feels full of life, beauty, and emotion. Steve has a true gift for capturing both the big, iconic moments and the quiet, meaningful in-betweens. We’ve been obsessively revisiting the gallery and are just blown away. You would be doing yourself a major disservice not to work with Steve. He’s a phenomenal photographer and an even better human being. We’re so grateful we found him.

ever recommend Steve to others and like a barber I will never find a new one to replace the perfectionism of life that Steve captures. It all started with a beautiful engagement shoot filled with creativity, laughs, professionalism, stories, and shared interests. Steve made us feel comfortable and confident to be taking photos. We had a few ideas but were happy to let the photographer guide us through the process. After all he is the professional. Through out the wedding Steve Made guests feel comfortable, iconic, and look like rock stars. Like a ninja and wizard Steven lurked in the shadows and appeared when most needed. The man literally helped me get ready when I was a nervous wreck in the groom room. With his personality, camera set up, and knowledge there is no doubt in my mind that a session with him, wedding, engagement, family photos, is something worth more than money or pictures can buy. It’s a true experience.

of what we wanted and delivered on everything we hoped for, as well as on things we didn’t even think to ask for. One of our favorite shots is one he even talked us into, so trust his eye! Beyond the quality of the work, Steve is a joy to work with. Weddings are stressful, and he not only kept the photos from feeling like part of that stress, but he actively added to the fun. Highest recommendations from us! You won’t be sorry.

it. He made us feel so comfortable during the photo shoots and was an excellent coach. 10/10 recommend

es a great job of helping piece together the whole day in photos by getting images with guests. So allows you to share with guests of special moments. Lots of photographers act like photos are only for the bride & groom. I was Best Man at my brother’s wedding & I think there were a total of 10 pictures that I was included in, they had 2 photographers. Steve got all these random moments of my brother, my best man, that he will be able to cherish & so will my family bc they included his daughter. Steve went above & beyond in The Domes & wouldn’t have asked for a better photographer. Steve was phenomenal. Even my cousins, who’ve been to 30+ weddings, said they wish they had a photographer like ours.

e is truly an artist when it comes to photography. His turn around time is AMAZING, we had all our photos 24 hours after our wedding, and all for such an amazing price! He is hilarious too, which made for genuine smiles in pictures. I would book him again in a heartbeat!

ctly how to get the best pictures possible. His skill for capturing candid photos, the pictures you cant believe he developed, are truly amazing. We first met him at The Wonderful World of Weddings at the Wisconsin Fair Grounds Event Center. HE WAS THE ONLY photography vendor who didn't push his work or try desperately to sell sell sell. He was upfront about his price with no hidden package add ons or fine print issues. He displayed his work elegantly and was up front and honest about how he works with this clients. His delivery of his work was easy to access as well. His work is absolutely beautiful and he is truly passionate about it. He puts his whole self into making sure your special day is captured exactly how it should be and we were so honored to have hired him and to have his photos to enjoy for a lifetime! Thank you Steven Bowman. You are the best!

g you feel relaxed and makes it FUN!! Steve, you felt like family and we are forever thankful for your artistic ability!! Brandon and Amy Kaulitz

between that and the entire wedding day. He's insanely funny and witty which worked great for our wedding setting and style. He's insanely responsive. Gets shots that we didn't even realize he was getting from the entire day and even with the random switch up of rain the entire day on and off he still managed to get us killer shots indoors and outdoors thru the whole day. We loved his work for both the engagement shoot and the wedding, we loved his personality and flexibility. Mostly we love how insanely quick he got us our entire gallery after the wedding. Coming from someone who also does photography I know this man has his camera skills dialed and I absolutely LOVED seeing that. Can't say enough nice things about him. If you're considering using him for your event..... all I can say is DO IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT.

them, they became my favorite pictures! He is truly an artist. By the end of the night, Steve was no longer our photographer but he became our friend.

ninja, how he managed to be everywhere all at once is beyond me. He’s funny, so so knowledgeable, and has just the right amount of sass. All of our family and friends have been raving about him and his photos, and after spending so much time together during the wedding my husband and I are kinda starting to miss him 😂. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for amazing and creative photos for their wedding!

t communicator and kept everything moving along at a good pace. I recommend Steve for any wedding. He also has an incredibly fast turn around time for getting the photos to you. 10/10 service and photographer.

ry responsive, kind, funny and easy to communicate with. Even as wedding plans and location changed, Steve was always very flexible. The wedding day photography went perfectly. Steve and Katie brought such positive fun, ideas, skill, and professionalism that blew us and our guests away. Most of the time we didn’t even notice they were capturing pictures which created a lot of beautiful candid moments. Steve sent all of our pictures THE DAY AFTER and we couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out. Steve and Katie were an absolute joy to be around and work with, we will definitely use them for any photography needs in the future. I will forever be thankful we chose Steve to be our wedding photographer, he is the best out there! Thank you so much Steve.

r photographer! Steve took both our engagement and wedding pictures. They turned out absolutely stunning! He truly made the engagement photoshoot and big day an amazing experience. We love his sense of humor and ability to make us feel entirely comfortable. He had everyone laughing while taking pictures. We received many, many compliments about Steve after the wedding. We even got our sneak peak the night of our wedding, and our whole album the next day, which was icing on the cake. I highly highly recommend choosing Steve as your photographer for your special day!

t as our photographer! Steve took both our engagement and wedding pictures. They turned out absolutely stunning! He truly made the engagement photoshoot and big day an amazing experience. kward with wicked social anxiety, and his humor lightens up the entire mood and ensures you feel like a friend. He provided us with so much guidance throughout our planning and even more so on the big day. It was so refreshing to find him. As soon as I got on his website and read through his info, I caught onto his personality, which for US made our decision. He listened to our ideas, cut the anxiety with a joke, and ensured to capture all the timeless candids I love. He's also quite speedy on getting you your shots after events, so you're not left scratching your head for weeks. Highly HIGHLY recommend him...absolutely the best choice we made damn near this entire process. When the wedding is all over, and you're a little bitter, you'll likely never get to "hang out" with your photographer again...that says something!

engagement pictures and wedding pictures he did a great job of keeping the mood light while also providing the professionalism and attention to detail required for how important the wedding was to us. He's clearly done this for a long time and was really efficient and took a lot off our plate which helped keep the day as stress free as possible. We got back a ton of great photos in a really timely manner. He was able to capture all the biggest moments from a variety of different ways. One thing that stuck out to us was we were one bouquet short for the bridesmaids photos and the way he arranged and took the photos made it so you don't even realize it. Really skilled in all the little ways like that. Would highly recommend!

s have fun with the pictures we wanted!

quick & snarky but in the best way possible. If you are looking for someone to add even more laughter, smiles, & charm to your special event, look no further. Honestly we wanted him to stay as a guest because he was such a pleasure to work with! We didn't want the same stuffy, staged photos that many other weddings have; we wanted beautiful & fun candids primarily, & SB delivered! I didn't have much defined as a "must" for our wedding, but Steve Bowman as our photographer was a must for me. He's quick & snarky in the best way possible, making jokes & people smile from the moment he arrived. They have such an eye for candids, & captured so many shots/candids to remember the littlest things, such as the puppet show in the playroom at the church to the "Something Old" tiny doll from my grandmother stuffed in my bouquet. The guy was all over the place at our reception - I cannot believe how much he was able to capture. Even going through photos for this review was difficult because we LOVED THEM ALL! My maid of honor was a photographer & even she reached out separately to say how excellent he was. We even had a curve ball thrown at us the day of our wedding when during our post-ceremony photos the park was slammed with people because Flamingos decided to stop in Port Washington that day! But Steve & Katie kept the audience at bay & the show rolling. Not just excellent photographers, but really enjoyable people to be around. You can't go wrong with him. It's all he does (not his side gig), & we had our pictures within 48 hours of the wedding - WOW, that's pretty fantastic! I'm sure many couples have moments after the wedding where "we could have done this instead..." but Steve Bowman Photography has never once been one of those! A++, all the gold stars, absolutely a perfect 10. Thank you, Steve, sincerely!!

ding photography with an artistic eye and was going to take photos that felt truly special. It was immediately clear that Steve was the right person for the job. He was also very communicative and friendly, putting my partner and I at ease from the very beginning of our engagement shoot. This was the first time I’d ever had professional photos taken of me, and he directions were easy to follow and made me feel confident in how I looked. Our wedding party agreed that he was great to work with. Also, Steve has the fastest turnaround time of any photographer I’ve ever met. For both our engagement and wedding photos, he had the entire 500+ photo album back to us the NEXT DAY. That’s not because he sent a bunch of bad photos with no edits; it’s because, as he stated, he takes good photos the first time so they don’t need a bunch of edits. Finally, Steve charges a great price for the quality of photos and service. Some vendors were charging double for the same hours and number of photos. I would work with Steve again in a heartbeat.

would give him 10 stars if I could. 100% recommend. Our engagement photos were equally amazing.

ct shot” to an enjoyable experience that leaves you smiling and laughing almost the whole time. When Steve was up to bat for formal photos, moving masses of people into an aesthetically pleasing arrangement, he did it with ease. He had the entire wedding party laughing almost the whole time. It seemed like he was there to entertain us and pictures were a bonus! When it came time for the reception, he was where he needed to be, when he needed to be there. He did such a good job that I don’t even remember seeing him throughout the night, staying out of the way but getting the best shots imaginable. Andy was also such a pleasure to work with. My wife really asked a lot out of him and he did nothing but exactly what she asked. I couldn’t have asked for a better Batman and Robin duo than Steve and Andy. As for delivery, I am writing this review 2 days after my wedding and i have already shared pictures with friends and family. Already laughing and crying with each other reminiscing less than 24 hours after the event. I’ve heard horror stories about photographers not delivering but that is NO issue for Steve. I couldn’t imagine having used any other photographer. I truly feel bad for couples that do not get the pleasure of working with Steve on their big day. He made our day even more special than it already was going to be and I can’t thank him enough for that.

He did a great job of making us laugh to bring out our natural smiles. He made the day enjoyable and not overwhelming. He does a lot of candid photos, which we absolutely loved and also took some staged ones that we requested. Would absolutely recommend him for your next event!

unate to book him for our wedding and we're so glad we did. The quality of the photos are incredible and beautiful and we will cherish them for years to come. Steve and Katie were professional, effective and efficient. The turn around on the photos was amazingly fast, my husband and I were married on a Saturday and we had the link to the gallery Sunday night. On top of that, the sneak peaks and social media posts were made Saturday night after Steve and his assistant departed our event! We had an engagement photo shoot that was included with the package we selected and the engagement photo shoot session was a great way for my husband and I to get comfortable with shooting with Steve prior to the big day. I'm still in awe of how beautiful all the photos look and how wonderful and natural everyone looks in them. I appreciated how quickly I was able to share photos with people who were not able to attend the wedding. They all remarked that the pictures were wonderful and they really got a sense of what it felt like to be there. Absolutely worth every penny, a pleasure and joy to work with, I cannot recommend Steve Bowman Photography enough! Thank you again Steve for helping us document such a special day.

made us comfortable and the pictures he took are unbelievable. Not to mention we received some pictures the night of our event. Book Steve and his team without any hesitation and you will be so happy you did - I promise!

ments from our guests on the professionalism and demeanor of our photographers. The photos we received, shortly after our wedding I may add, are truly photos we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

e of his incredible personality highlighted on his website and his amazing reviews. Right from the beginning, Steve was easy to communicate with, made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and took the most beautiful pictures. For our wedding in particular, he highlighted the most meaningful moments in such a perfect way and we are so in love with all of our pictures. The best part of it all is that Steve got back all of our pictures the very next day! So here is your sign to stop looking and choose Steve as your wedding photographer. You won’t regret it!

ss as possible and Steve went above and beyond that. Steve is HILARIOUS and so fun to work with. His second Pat is also a hoot and amazing as well. They both make what could be an incredibly awkward situation fun and easy. They were flexible and responsive to whatever we wanted or needed. Steve also is super efficient with getting out photos- we had a sneak peek on Instagram and Facebook before our reception was even over AND we had a FULL gallery of our photos to download as we want less than 24 hours after they left our wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and worth every penny and more!

many guest at our wedding complimented how he was everywhere and our whole wedding party commented how easy it was to have fun and take pictures with him. It never felt stiff or unnatural. We just do not have enough nice things to say about Steve. Please hire him you will not regret it, seriously! Oh, 1 more thing we got our pictures back THE NEXT DAY! no joke, whole gallery, NEXT DAY! Hire this man!

captured everything and more that we wanted him to. Would recommend him to anyone!
