About this vendor
Situated in Canton, MS across from the Madison County Courthouse is Sterling Hall, a wedding venue that combines both industrial and historic charm. Located in the Historic Square, this building brings the cultivated grandeur of New Orleans into the heart of Mississippi with a plethora of modern comforts. Elegant architectural details and an expansive array of event planning services make this a one-stop locale for a sophisticated wedding to remember.
Begun in 2000, Sterling Hall aspires to help couples create a day reflective of their dream wedding. Guided by the belief that this begins with the perfect location, they renovated the former Sterling Five and Dime to create an ideal place to host their nuptials. Couples celebrating here enjoy the enchantment of a traditional New Orleans courtyard without leaving Mississippi. This spacious building can host up to 500 guests with lots of parking outside. Seating can be arranged in both the main hall or the mezzanine on the second floor for a distinctive reception layout.
Brick walls, simple white columns, and black iron embellishments give the Sterling Hall an urban and storied feel. With large windows, the space is airy and bright with ample natural light for warmth. The chandeliers hanging from the lofty 32-foot ceiling imbue the space with a feeling of magnificence. For a couple’s grand entrance they can take advantage of the custom wrought iron staircase. Together these details create a sophisticated ambiance.
Sterling Hall provides couples with a number of conveniences and wedding coordination services. The wedding party can prepare for the big day in their capacious dressing rooms. For the decor, their in-house florists can create original botanical designs just for your wedding. Accommodation for out-of-town guests is available in the fabulous Corner House. This three-bedroom, two-bath, full-kitchen home provides comfort for those traveling. For the reception meal, they have a full-service kitchen and bar. Catering is therefore offered, with couples having the option to customize menus. For the added relief of both the wedding party and guests, the building is fully air-conditioned. An additional convenience is the number of churches in a variety of denominations within walking distance.

sked. Whether it be during their work, vacation and even a personal family emergency. Every text was answered promptly. They never complained. When my daughter walked through the door she knew Sterling Hall was the venue she wanted. The atmosphere was perfect. We were able to decorate the day before and the “borrow room” was a life saver. I didn’t have to buy and pack things to bring; everything was right there. The bridal suite was perfect for the girls to get hair/makeup done, snack, and visit as they live all over the country. The guys even had a room to visit and get ready. The food was wonderful as a knew it would be. I cannot say enough about each and every one of Susie’s support staff. Every time I had a question or task they accommodated me happily with a smile. After the wedding was over all of our leftover food was nicely packaged and boxed for easy transportation. Thank you for making my daughter’s wedding extra special. I will recommend Sterling Hall every time!

Mrs. Susie was wonderful to work with and made me a very happy bride! I was so excited from the minute I met her and toured Sterling Hall. It was absolutely perfect. Sometimes she ...
was a little hard to get in touch with due to her busy schedule, but overall she definitely helped make my day perfect! 100% recommend this venue to all future newlyweds!
Sterling Hall was the first venue I toured while looking at reception sites. It was still in the process of being complete and a few weeks from opening. Upon meeting Susie, I tried...
to book immediately because I knew this was the location for us. She told me to think about it and even gave suggestions of local businesses/venues for our rehearsal dinner. The venue has a southern, NOLA vibe. No detail forgotten. Each time we visited during the wedding process she added more unique things to the venue. Unlike other places, she does not charge by amount of table or chairs used. There are no hidden costs or itemized “extras”. Check out the bridal and groom suites. AMAZING! The biggest help was that Susie was flexible with the days/times we were able to set up. She opened her doors with kindness and support every step of the way. We were able to decorate that Thursday and Friday before the wedding. This is major compared to other places that only allow you day of entry. Anytime we called, she met with us. EVERYTIME!
Susie created a menu specifically for us and the food was amazing. Her prices were great, and she will work with your budget. Our guests have continued to talk about how great everything was, and there was never a concern about food running out or not meeting our expectations.
I used a family friend for floral and design, but Susie was there every step of the way. Offering extra space to work or vases/candles to use. She even gave us the option to look at her warehouse and pick out items we wanted to decorate with.
We rented Susie’s “Corner House” (can be found on vrbo). It was great. Cozy, clean, traditional, and so very historical Canton. It was walking distance to the venue and a convenient meeting place for our out of town guests.
Susie included the Corner House and bartender in the final payment, so we only had to write one check (MAJOR BONUS).
Our bartender was Gregory who has worked for Susie as a second job for 11 years. He spoke with so much pride in working at Sterling Hall. Throughout the reception, I experienced Sterling Staff dancing with us while they set out food and cleaned. One staff member even danced with one of our older and less mobile guests. Making her evening memorable. The staff was attentive, kind, hardworking, and so much fun! I can’t thank them enough for helping us clean at the end of the night. Always with a huge smile on their face!
As a bride, I can say that Susie is amazing, but it is really in how her staff responds, talks, and respects her. Highly recommend Sterling Hall or any of Susie’s event locations.
This is an amazing, gorgeous venue! It has a wonderful bridal suite upstairs and a great suite for the groom downstairs. The food, decor, and flowers were awesome! The staff wer...
