Stephen's Kitchen and Catering

ng with food allergies, diets, etc. and let us mix and match food items rather than picking one specific menu for our buffet. GET THE BUFFALO CHICKEN EGGROLLS as an appetizer. Ours went so fast and my husband and I were so sad we only had one each before they were gone. They also handled all the linens and China for us which was so helpful and also plated and packed up our cookies. Amazing place!

edding venue coordinator suggested Stephen's Kitchen & Catering. We took their suggestion and scheduled a tasting, and we were so glad that we did! The food we sampled was delicious, and we loved how they handled linens and china — one less step we had to worry about amongst all the other planning. Even with all they handled, we were able to stay within our budget with their reasonable pricing. On the day of our wedding, Stephen, his wife and their team were absolutely wonderful. They clearly have the repertoire to cater for any event, whether it's an outdoor BBQ or a more formal winter feast, like our wedding. We had carved prime rib, salmon with a tomato sauce, cheesy potatoes, green beans and pasta with spinach. Everything was set up beautifully, from the linens and china on all of the tables to the elaborate cookie table. If you have the opportunity to hire a caterer (or just want some fantastic takeout — they do that, too!), we highly recommend Stephen's Kitchen & Catering/Porky’s Smokehouse.

r laid back barn venue and it was exactly what we had imagined. His smoked brisket and chicken piccata is to die for, and combined with the sides, it was the most perfect meal we could have asked for. We set up our tasting at the store and tried so many delicious foods so we could pick what we wanted. We had the hardest time choosing our wedding food because it was all SO good! Our guests raved about the dinner for weeks after our wedding. Stephen and his wife are so kind and easy to work with! Stephen attended our final meeting with our venue coordinator to make sure we had the correct amount of linens and dinnerware, which he provided! Also we have to mention how amazing Stephen’s wife is at setting up the dinner tables and linens. Everything looked so beautiful! She also set up our cookie table on different serving trays and stands - our cookie table was truly one of a kind because of her! They offer a cookie table service to display all the cookies and then restock them throughout the night. We would HIGHLY recommend Stephen for any event!!!

tering! They were our caterer for our wedding on 9/19/2020. Everyone raved about their food! We chose them first for our tasting and didn't even think twice about doing a tasting with anyone else! From the moment of setting up a tasting, til the day of our wedding, Stephen and his team were amazing to work with! For the tasting, he brought out more than enough food to feed the six of us, we had leftovers for EACH of us to take home! All of our guests enjoyed the food and said it was excellent! Their smashed potatoes are to die for! I could have just had the potatoes and would have been happy! But the chicken, the beef and pasta were excellent as well! They were even accommodating our guests with Gluten allergies! I cannot say enough good things about Stephen's Kitchen and Catering! I will abslutely use htem for any event we have again!

ng about the mac and cheese. I think I was more excited to eat the mac and cheese on our wedding day than I was for anything else, and my husband would agree to that. They are so flexible and easy to work with! Amid COVID-19 Stephen also worked with me to ensure any questions and concerns I had were addressed prior to our wedding. Our guests raved and raved about how amazing our food was! It was so filling and so delicious. You can't go wrong going with Stephen's for your wedding. AND GET THE MAC AND CHEESE!

ng other than cake and he delivered the most incredible pies in addition to the food. They also set-up our cookie table and it was FLAWLESS!

ull, and happy. Their strawberry almond salad is delicious and their buffalo chicken egg rolls are to die for. They are a great family friendly, comfort food caterer! Only reason we didn't rate them a 5 star is because we ordered vegetarian meals but when vegetarians asked, they were told there was no vegetarian option. Otherwise, Stephen's Kitchen was fantastic!

estions. He even cut my cake and set up my s’mores bar at no added price. They had servers for the buffet and it helped with the flow and kept the line moving. He was on top of things getting set up the day before and the food was just excellent.

day. If you are looking for great food at a reasonable price, go with Stephen and his team. You will not be disappointed.

hem! Their breaded chicken is out of this world! I had sooo many people, including other vendors, comment on how it was the best chicken they ever had. I would also give their mashed potatoes a 10/10. We went with the buffet style (though they have different options for serving), and it worked out great. We were able to take leftovers home with us. They excused the tables to go up to the buffet. They set up our cookie table for us for an extra charge (reasonable). Best part—they offer an ice cream bar! My husband and I are big ice cream eaters so naturally we had to do it. It was such a great idea and everyone commented on how unique and fun it was! Stephen and his wife were so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. I definitely would recommend their services and I will for sure use their ice cream bar at all my future events. Haha.

tasting.

s receive at the wedding. Not only is his pricing out of this world, it is all delicious. Mainly made from scratch, nothing tasted processed. We had brisket with gravy, stuffed chicken breast, smashed red potatoes, Mac and cheese, and salad. Everything tasted amazing. Stephen provided linens and also trayed and kept out our cookies replenished through the entire day/night. Stephen actually catered both wedding weddings at the same farm and executed it perfectly. Our guests commented on how wonderful his food was. Stephen is a small business and a true family man. You can tell he cares about the entire experience it shows in not only his food, but also how he helps coordinate with the venue. Stephen had a hostess working for him that was so sweet and kind and kept complimenting myself and my wife on how beautiful we looked and how wonderful of a wedding it was. Truly a sweetheart and her comments were some we will never forget! Thank you, Stephen, and company for being perfect on our big day!

d answering questions we had right away, and his company makes it so easy by providing the china, silverware, linens, etc. I have nothing but good things to say about Stephen's Kitchen, and I plan on going back to the restaurant many times just to have the food again!

ediately from our free tasting that Stephen offers that we wanted them to cater our wedding. So many of our wedding guests commented on how amazing the food was, especially the roast beef! Also, our family members mentioned how beautiful his tablecloths were that we rented. Stephen was kind enough to even let us pick up the table cloths the day before so that we could get an early start the next day on setting up the barn. Stephen and his team were at the barn early and left very late. They were extremely dedicated and hardworking to ensure that our wedding meal was everything we wanted and more. As a bride, you try to make sure everything goes perfectly but that is not always the case. When my maid of honor accidentally put a mark on our wedding cake while setting it up, Stephen’s wife stayed and helped us conceal the mistake. She also suggested adding baby’s breath around the rim of the cake to cover it up more, which I ended up absolutely loving anyways! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Stephen was always available to answer our questions and concerns. We cannot recommend his catering services ENOUGH! We absolutely loved the service he and his team provided!

ompliments on how good it was! Their prices could not be beat when comparing others! Thanks for everything!

ng and immediately fell in love. The parmesan crusted chicken was amazing, the garlic smashed potatoes are still being talked about, and everything else was delicious. The service was great, Stephen made sure everything was to my liking. I have had so many people rave about the food at our wedding, which is one of THE most important aspects from a guest perspective. I would absolutely recommend them for your next event!

re happy. They were so accommodating and flexible—they delivered everything we asked for. The prices were in line with our budget and he delivered quality food. I would not only recommend them, I would use them again! We recommend the chicken or beef and the cheese display was awesome.

nue (Armstrong Farms) very well. He had great suggestions and we used many of them. Everything worked out great! We were very pleased and would use him again. I feel that we had a better experience and better food for a much better price than if we had gone with a competitor. Highly recommend!

pick our menu.

ual, backyard-BBQ theme and AF recommended Stephen's Kitchen - we went for a tasting (pulled pork, cornbread, baked beans, mac and cheese) and didn't even pull out of the parking lot before we emailed Steve back and said "please be our caterer!" We went with the Pig Roast with an added panko-crusted chicken which I still dream about. He also catered our small rehearsal dinner with a classic chicken piccata meal and sides but the quality was out of this world. And THEN he catered our post-wedding brunch with a waffle bar and the best bacon I've ever had. Steve was great to work with - super laid back, very knowledgeable and able to help us craft a menu for our needs. I forgot to mention that we decided to forego wedding cake and had a pie spread instead - Stephen baked 14 fresh and delicious assorted pies that were a huge hit. All of the food was outstanding and our guests are still talking about it. All of that for an extremely reasonable price - almost makes you want to get married again! ;)

Not to mention that Stephen's came in nearly $10 dollars a plate cheaper than other local options in the North Hills (Remo's, Monteverdi's, etc.), not to mention that the food was just plain better. On the big day, Stephen and his crew were there early, left late, and did not miss a beat. His servers were friendly, polite, and proper, and Stephen himself was nothing less than a gentleman. We did a "backyard bbq" style buffet, with pulled pork, mac'n'cheese, grilled veggies and cornbread... it was EXCEPTIONAL! If you want "home cooked" food, not just the same banquet chicken you've been eating at every graduation party since childhood, we highly recommend Stephen's! Thanks for a great night, full plates, and happy guests! Mike and Maggie

ented both us and how the wedding turned out. The food was AMAZING!! Thats all we heard from our guest and it shows because there were little left overs. We really enjoyed the family style serving, we received many compliments from our guest with that as well. Stephen and his team are wonderful to work with, they pay attention to every detail and answer any questions you have big or small. I hope to use them again in the near future! But we will be stopping in for dinner soon!!

g! We received a lot of compliments on both. I highly recommend them!!

was quick to answer our questions and gave us many options to choose from. We were very pleased to find a catering service with such great food at such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Stephen's Kitchen & Catering to anyone.

it was. He arranged a tasting before the wedding of the several dishes we had selected and I thought this was a very nice touch. His prices are very fair. I recommend very highly! (p.s. he is in the process of changing their name to Stephen's Kitchen)

n away with the professional manner of service during the event.

the reception in a renovated barn, so we wanted something a little rustic. The BBQ brisket was amazing, and the corn bread in baskets on the tables were a hit!
