About this vendor
Hello! I'm so glad you're here. I'm a film photographer and I work mostly out of Charleston, South Carolina and the Upstate/Appalachia, but I love to travel as well! My style is generally described as raw, joyful, and intimate, and I'm flattered to say my work has been published all over the internet, on blogs, and in magazines such as OnceWed, Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Grey Likes, White Wren, The Wedding Row, and a bunch more.
If you haven't already, I would encourage you to check out my website. Over there you'll find more information on my style, a much larger portfolio, more information on pricing, a series of published work, and an extensive blog.
Have any questions? I'm happy to take a phone call or schedule a coffee/cocktail/craft beer meet up! Get in touch!

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephen. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in incredibly talented hands, and somehow he still exceeded every expectation...
.
Stephen has such a gift for capturing not just how a wedding looks, but how it feels. Looking through our photos brings us right back to every moment. The emotion, the joy, the little interactions, and, of course, the absolute party that followed. Nothing feels overly posed or forced and the photos feel completely like us.
Beyond being unbelievably talented, Stephen was such a calming and wonderful presence throughout the day. He made us feel completely comfortable, kept everything moving effortlessly, and somehow managed to capture every moment without ever feeling intrusive.
Our photos are timeless, beautiful, emotional, and full of life. Choosing Stephen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we will forever be grateful to him for capturing the happiest day of our lives so perfectly. We would recommend him a thousand times over!
Not only did we love every single photo we received but we had the best time with Stephen on our wedding day. He made us feel comfortable and helped position us for the best resul...
ts! He uses a variety of cameras for all different types of photographs which we were so grateful for. So many wonderful candid moments were captured as well. I chose to do my boudoir right before the wedding with him as well and I highly suggest doing that! We would recommend Stephen to anyone for their wedding photographs. I would give 10 stars if I could!
We cannot thank Stephen enough for capturing our wedding day!! His work is beautiful and we are so lucky to have found him. Everyone in our bridal party and our parents kept raving...
about how amazing he was and how he brought such a great vibe to the day. Everything felt natural and me and my husband had so much fun. I was nervous we wouldn't be the best "models" but he made us feel comfortable and be in the moment with one another. We'll treasure these pictures and memories forever, and I know they will always make me smile. Stephen is SO talented, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!
Stephen took our wedding pictures and he truly captured our day in the most beautiful way. When describing what my vision was for photography he went above and beyond and used all ...
my ideas and added his special touch to them. The weather was awful but he used it to his benefit and was able to capture unique pictures. Before the day ever came I told him I wanted a lot of pictures of just us throughout the day not posed, these pictures could say 1,000 words he truly went above and beyond in making sure we had not just photos but that each photo had a memory.
If I could give Stephen a million stars I would. By far the best choice of my wedding was hiring Stephen. As you know pictures are what last forever and he captured my wedding perf...
ectly. I so blessed and grateful I found Stephen and that he was available for my wedding! Thank you Stephen for everything.

Stephen was incredible! From the minute he showed up to when we did our exit, he was the professional, joyful, and talented individual we needed him to be.

nd staged photos we requested. Even in the staged photos though, he managed to make everyone look natural and comfortable. He went above and beyond for us. We aren't people who love to be in the spotlight, but he made us feel comfortable and at ease the entire time and most importantly he made us look good. He perfectly captured the spirit of the day. I cannot thank him enough.
Stephen was amazing! He communicated really well, coordinated with the wedding planner, and not only followed the set timeline, but keep all my increasingly ADD bridesmaids on sche...

edding a few years ago. I received my pictures sooner than I thought and you can’t even tell it was a heat index of 104 when we got married! I can’t recommend him enough. Our wedding was also featured on Zola.com and I’m certain that is heavily in part do to all the great pictures Stephen took.

impressed by Stephen's professionalism on the day of our wedding. He was able to adapt flawlessly to unpredictable weather (and an equally unpredictable DJ). He made the most of a rainy day, and some of our favorite pictures are the ones he took indoors while it was raining. We recommend him without hesitation, and we'd advise any newly engaged couple to give him a call.

ures we requested plus tons more! His shooting partner, Allison, was fabulous as well! Stephen knew the exact pictures to take and where to take them at the venue. He was flexible with meeting me and talking through email since I lived out of town. You won't be disappointed going with Atohi Photography! We couldn't have asked for better!
Beautiful! Stephen is an amazing photographer. He was able to capture every moment perfectly! I can't stop looking at our Wedding photos. We are so happy we found Stephen!

or more photos when it was clear, and no photo we wanted was missed! They just captured everything beautifully and were so great to work with. Stephen even jumped in to show me the wobble when it came on and I had no idea how to do it! Also - he went above and beyond with some special editing to one of my favorite photos of the day. He was able to remove something from it that just really helped to make it a more special and perfect photo. I wish I could do our wedding day again and again and I would definitely choose Stephen Atohi every time :)

ic! One of the reasons we chose Two Young was because of how much they love shooting the candid moments and they did just that- Stephen and his shooting assistant were right there with us through every funny, crazy, emotional moment of our day. Our families are too wild to be constricted to posed photos and Stephen not only embraced that, but captured it perfectly. My now husband and I personally love all the types of photography used on our wedding day, too. I can't recommend Two Young enough!!

and even met up with him while in town for another wedding. He made planning a wedding from Atlanta so much less stressful than it could have been. Stephen and Michelle (and their assistant) were specular the day of. They were on point yet relaxed and have such a great energy that it was easy to just be in the moment. I had no doubt they would do an awesome job, but they exceeded expectations. Two Young Photography interpreted and understood exactly our "couple style" and was nothing short of elated and in love with our photos when we received the preview within two weeks! You cannot and will not be disappointed with this team!
