Step by Step Catering

g food in our system. The food is delicious and they make special care to ensure people with allergies are able to enjoy allergen-free food. Not only did they do what they were supposed to perfectly, they went above and beyond, cleaning up messes that weren’t theirs and even making sure to help fill in the holes that we missed (because you always forget something). Step by Step Catering will be our go to for ANY of our future catering needs because we know that they are dependable and will go above and beyond. They were honestly my favorite vendor from my entire wedding.

e phone with a "hello" (she was driving) vs. announcing the place of business I was calling. In addition, I found her demeanor abrupt and borderline rude. Upon telling me the entire balance was due 30 days before, and me expressing a concern with paying entirely for a service I hadn't received, her response was that she "doesn't know anybody else's experience, but that's the way we do it." Even if that is standard practice in the industry, the non-professional demeanor and response was a turn-off.

he dinner on how wonderful the food was. They were so attentive, always one step ahead, and so accommodating. Pamela was amazing at answering all our questions and keeping us in the loop as well. Literally could not say enough good things about the Step By Step Catering crew. HIRE THEM!

quote was unbelievably affordable, and they delivered ‘on budget’. We have received numerous compliments about the food and wait-service. We are a Step by Step customer for life.

nd doesn’t even like shrimp but he couldn’t get enough of her coconut shrimp! Vanessa drove all the way from Atlanta to Hiawassee for my final walk through so she could see the space and get a layout, my planners said that’s very rare for out of town caterers. I gave Vanessa and Pamela an idea of what I wanted for my tables and they nailed it! Guests were coming up to me all night telling me how good the food was, and we are still hearing about it three weeks later. Vanessa also made sure we ate and set aside food for us for after the wedding, which was so wonderful because we were super hungry. Step by Step is timely, professional, wonderful decorators and the food is so yummy! I am so happy I booked them and would do it again in a heartbeat. You cannot beat this place.

ing raved about the food and the amazing service. Mrs. Vanessa is a joy to work with, and she was so flexible when we weren’t even expecting it. She and her team knocked it out of the park—I am so happy we chose Step by Step Catering. You can’t go wrong with anything Mrs. Vanessa cooks because everything is so delicious.

enjoyed the food! We got the best deal and so much for our money with Step By Step. Other companies charged $1000 more for just a barbecue pork menu. Catering a full meal for a wedding was the most costly item in our budget, so I am glad we went with them. A really nice touch was that they made my husband and me a plate of food at the reception. We might be some of the only newlyweds who actually ate at our own wedding!

d and specifically talked about the rice. Two weeks after, a guest asked me for the rice menu. Unfortunately, I could not help him but referred him to Step by Step. I would recommend Step by Step without hesitation to all brides.

er, Ms. Vanessa, was attentive, caring, and responsive to any questions we had or changes we wanted to make. The food was also fabulous. Do yourself a favor and make sure you include the spinach souffle in your menu! We received so many compliments from our guest on how delicious everything was. Step by Step is also SO affordable. Highly highly recommend to anyone.

I was nervous that choosing simple sides like roasted veggies and potatoes wouldn't have much flavor, but everything was seasoned perfectly. We would definitely use them if we ever need a caterer again!

can't argue. Step by Step Catering did an amazing job and helped make our big day perfect.

ght. The food was incredible. I lost count of the number of guests who complimented the food! Step-by-Step Catering made our event absolutely perfect!

recommend!

lanning process. the buffet setup was BEAUTIFUL and looked great with the rest of our decor. The day went so fast and was such a blur, but Miss Vanessa and her team were awesome and went beyond expectations! Thank you so much for being with us on our special day!

rers we will use for everything we need a caterer for. Loved the experience and working with them was a breeze.

and decoration was fantastic. And of course the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend their services for any event being catered.

anytime I called with a question I was able to speak with someone. The food and service was excellent. All the guest truly enjoyed the food. I RECOMMEND STEP BY STEP CATERING HANDS DOWN.

ng well with the wedding planning and to update me as things went along. During the wedding, her staff made sure me and my husband had enough food (I hear you don't usually get to eat, they made sure that didn't happen!) and they even put a to go box together for us to take up to our room. The tables they set up were so beautiful and matched the color scheme for our wedding perfectly. The food got rave reviews all night long, it was so good. We had a ton of leftovers as well, and they didn't last long with us. The price was also incredible. Including the cost of food, delivery (we were quite a ways outside of Atlanta), and service, we paid about $30 per person. I highly recommend them for anything you might need catering for!

erers in the general Atlanta area, and was immediately impressed by the sample menus on their website with prices that were MUCH lower than any other caterer I had looked at. We wanted a finger-foods-buffet reception but with enough food at it to make people leave full, we just didn't want a sit-down-formal-dinner, but we still wanted a lot of good food. We were finding out that most caterers make that type of reception really expensive. So, when I started reading the menus on the Step By Step Catering website, I could hardly believe that they would serve so much delicious-sounding-food for such an inexpensive price as was listed on their sample menus. So I decided to go for a tasting. I emailed them and arranged for a tasting and went with my fiance. We could not have been more impressed - my fiance was shocked. He is a food-snob-chef-connoisseur himself, and before the tasting he didn't even really want to try this place because it seemed doubtful to him that there could be really GOOD food at such affordable prices. Well, after the tasting, all doubt was gone!! The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!!! The chef is from Jamaica, and she REALLY knows how to season and flavor the food perfectly!!!! All the food was literally fresh home-made and just so incredibly good!!! Not only did it taste delicious, but it LOOKED GORGEOUS too. Again, the chef does a VERY professional job on presenting everything in a mouth-watering way that just looks AMAZING. So, we were immediately sold and decided to use them for our wedding. We were also very happy because they didn't charge us extra for travel - our wedding was in Smyrna, GA, about a 45 minute drive from Decatur,GA where the caterer is based. The day of our wedding the first glance I got of the reception hall was AFTER the wedding when the reception was started... I walked in and was COMPLETELY WOWED!!! The chef had told me she would decorate the buffet table herself with my color scheme, and I had been a little apprehensive but the way she had described it sounded pretty so I had decided to let her do her thing. I'm so glad I did. She made that buffet look STUNNING. And the FOOD..... OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was GORGEOUS. And the whole place smelled SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. And there was SO MUCH FOOD!!! The caterer hadn't "skimped" on the food at all!! We had around 100 people at our wedding, which is how many we had paid the caterer for. But the amount of food the caterer served would have probably easily fed 125-150 people even!! Like, super generous amounts of food! The food the day of the wedding was every bit just as amazingly scrumptious and fresh and delicious as the day of the tasting. The servers were all dressed professionally and did a WONDERFUL job. We just could not get over how amazing it all was. It was nicer, more delicious, more food, fancier, and more professional than MANY weddings I've been to where I know the bride paid 4-5 times as much for her caterer as I did for mine. I would recommend this caterer to ANYONE for their wedding -- if you're on a tight budget, this is pretty much the most affordable in the Atlanta area. Even if you aren't on a tight budget, you'll love this caterer. This caterer is truly FIRST CLASS.

mpany did EVERYTHING they said they would AND so, so much more. People often tell you what they will do, this company, Step by Step Catering, really does it. Greatly exceeded our expectations and very reasonably priced. Check out the "big" names and then call Miss Vanessa. This will be the best decision that you make for your event.
