Joy with State of Face did my wedding makeup, and she also did makeup for all of my bridesmaids—and she did an absolutely amazing job. Every look was flawless, polished, and exactly what each person wanted.
She was incredibly talented and showed her expertise working with a wide range of skin tones and different makeup styles, making everyone feel comfortable and confident. Each of my bridesmaids looked beautiful, and everything still felt cohesive for the wedding party as a whole.
My makeup stayed perfect all day and night without needing touch-ups, even through dancing, photos, and all the emotions of the day. It photographed beautifully and still looked fresh hours later.
We are so grateful for Joy’s professionalism, talent, and calming presence on such an important day. I would highly recommend her to any bride looking for a makeup artist who can truly do it all.

Joy and her crew have been at this for over a decade. She has been airbrushing and using traditional makeup on brides since 2008 and on The Knot since 2011. We are available for makeup and also hair services. (You have to book makeup in order to book hair). With trusted stylists and additional artists, we can come and serve groups of all sizes.
When Joy isn't making people feel extra pretty, she enjoys singing with a service choir (Harmony Project- check them out!), being a wife and parent to 2 teenagers and loving on her 2 pups and 2 kitties.

I was very anti-airbrush, but she did it perfectly, and I am a believer in air brushing now. She also did a beautiful job for my six bridesmaids and my mom! Everyone loved their make up! Joy was on time, professional, and so fun to work with. The icing on the cake is my maid of honor was singing at the wedding and Joy sings too. My maid of honor broke out singing Going to the Chapel and Joy started singing with her like they have sang together for years. My maid of honor harmonized with her perfectly, and it was unexpected and such a beautiful memory. A make-up artist and a singer! It made the whole experience even more special.
