Starling Studio

e was patient, warm, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. Tessa's genuine care and joyful spirit shone through in every photo, creating memories we will cherish forever. We are so grateful to have had such a talented and compassionate person capturing our wedding day!

amazing photos, Tessa is such a special person. From the first time you meet her at your complimentary engagement photo session, she makes you feel at ease. She spends time getting to know you and your wedding visions. She is great at working with your other vendors to ensure logistics are correct. She is great with young kids who may not have as much patience sitting through photos. She even miraculously fixed my makeup for me when a few tears were shed during the first look.  There are a lot of decisions to make when planning a wedding, but booking Tessa should be a no brainer! Not only does she take the most gorgeous photos, but she is attentive, personable, knowledgeable, positive, and so fun to work with!

out with a friend! Could not recommend her enough!!

f the moments and we are in love with all of our engagement and wedding photos! They look like they could belong in a magazine! Before our engagement pictures and wedding day, Tessa took the time to talk with us about what types of pictures we wanted and made sure that we had the best experience. She did an amazing job checking in with us throughout the entire process! Tessa has amazing experience and comes with great recommendations for locations to take pictures as well as vendor recommendations, if needed. We cannot thank Tessa enough for being such an amazing photographer and are forever grateful that she captured our engagement and wedding photos! We can’t wait to work with Tessa again in the future!

just an amazing human being. Our photos form our special day came out absolutely stunning and would recommend her again and again!

sweetest, most genuine soul, and she carries the positivity with her throughout the entire day. Leading up to our wedding, she was flexible and responsive to all communication, and she was prepared with questions to ensure she captured our vision. On our wedding day, Tessa went above and beyond. Not only did she capture incredible shots, but she fully respected my boundaries and comfort levels. When I was done with pictures, she never pushed and let me be. She always gave her recommendations, but she only captured whatever I was comfortable with and never made us feel like we had to keep taking more pictures. After the wedding, we got our photos back so quickly, and I had handfuls of people share that our wedding photos were the best they had ever seen. The photos truly look like they are straight from a wedding magazine. I couldn’t recommend Tessa enough. She is hands down the most talented, kind hearted, professional, and loving person/photographer!

’re so thankful for her help!

d accommodating (especially when waiting on the weather to snow!), and gave great direction during the photo shoot. Our photos captured our personalities and love, and she did an amazing job at making sure we had fun and were comfortable throughout the shoot. She got our photos to us quickly and touched up a few requests we had. She is WONDERFUL!!

Her talent speaks for itself, but what you don’t see in her photos is what a kind and genuine person she is. From the beginning, she created a comfortable and happy environment. Her communication was great, and her passion for her work shines through. All of my guests at the wedding were raving about how great she was. On the day she was organized, on time, and prepared, and she was such a calm presence throughout the craziness of the wedding day. We were blown away by how amazing the pictures turned out, and we are continued to be blown away every time we look back on them. You will not regret booking with Tessa. I couldn’t have asked for more beautiful photos.

hat part of the wedding day, but after our engagement session with Tessa we were so excited!!! We had so much fun during our engagement session- it didn’t even feel like we were getting our picture taken! And then we saw the product- WOW, her photos captured natural and genuine moments that made them all the more special. On our wedding day we had a blast with Tessa- she was timely and organized and got all the shots we wanted done so quickly! We wanted to prioritize getting to our happy hour and she was able to capture all our photos within the time frame allowed. When we got our wedding album we could not be happier. Tessa was able to capture exactly what we wanted and more. We now get to look back on our favorite day and experience it again through these gorgeous photos- we are so lucky and grateful to have worked with her. We have recommended her to everyone we know looking for a photographer- bottom line you need to book her!!!!!

ing our engagement session we felt comfortable letting our guard down and being ourselves in front of the camera. If you're not a huge photo person she will pose you in a style where you not only feel cool you look like you are in Vogue. P.S. We gave her this large box of details (we're suckers for a good layflat) and she seriously created the most gorgeous laylat photos I've ever seen. She is the REAL DEAL!!!

answering any questions we had. Communication was always prompt, and she helped us come up with a professionally detailed day of timeline. The photos.... Genuinely left us speechless. I had to look through all 1,000+ photos 3x to even begin selecting my favorites. Her careful eye and attention to detail are everything. Cannot recommend Tessa highly enough, she captured our wedding day perfectly and I will cherish these photos forever. It's also important to mention that Tessa is a wedding pro. For every small bump in the road, Tessa had a plan B and took action immediately!

h how comfortable she made us feel and how incredible out photos turned out. We knew that if we did not chose her as our photographer for our big day we would always be comparing our photos and our experience to what she would have provided. From the beginning Tessa's communication was great. She invests in her clients lives and even checked in on us from time to time on instagram. Every time we worked with her it was like catching up with an old friend with laughs and conversations happening in between each take. This was so important for us to feel comfortable on our wedding day. The impact of using Tessa to document our wedding day can't be measured in words but I will do my best! She knows what is important. She makes every one feel like a natural and captures artistic elements and details that you wouldn't even think of. She worked with the young children in our bridal party and took amazing photos of them that we will cherish forever. She also focused attention on our grandparents, family, and friends at the reception. I value those photos of my grandparents so much and thought it was so thoughtful of her to include in our album. Her second shooter came prepared with all of the things you would need to make sure the bride stays gorgeous all day and even helped fan me during the heat. They both went the extra mile all day for not only the bride and groom, but additional family who needed direction and other vendors when they needed it. If there is one thing you want to invest in for your big day, it is Tessa. I will always have these photos to look back on and to enjoy. She returned our photos with unprecedented speed and every single one is gorgeous. I have never been happier with a decision and I know that I will continue to book with Tessa to document all of our future life moments.

so friendly and cheerful, she was helpful, encouraging, and our pictures....they are simply beautiful.

nd spontaneity was absolutely perfect. So happy with everything she did for us and by far exceeded our expectations.

vendors, and after very carefully researching and considering our options, we decided that Tessa was the best pick for us. Now, with the added benefit of hindsight, we can say that she was definitely the right choice. Tessa was on time and over-prepared, and her high-energy joyful attitude set a perfect tone. She took beautiful photos for both our engagement photos and wedding day — very vibrant, classic, professional photos — and sent us the final portfolio very promptly. We would absolutely love to work with Tessa again in the future and we’ll be recommending her to family and friends in the area. :)

d was clear in her direction. I think that some things, such as turnaround time and payment could have been communicated more clearly upfront, but there were no issues or delays in that regard. Also, it might have been nice to have a phone call leading up to the day of our photoshoot to touch base on our vision and review our preferences for the photos since an hour of photo-taking time goes by so quickly. Overall, we are happy with our photos and appreciate Tessa's hard work!

ream to work with – she made each session fun, knew exactly what shots to get (a true expert at her craft), provided clear direction, made great recommendations & was willing to help in any way we needed. She made us feel so comfortable, natural & happy, and that truly came through in our photos. We also had our dog with us for our engagement pics and not only was she patient with our dog, but the pictures were stunning. Overall it was an amazing experience working with Tessa & I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!!

gagement photos were just gorgeous!! We could not have asked for a better experience or more beautiful photos. She is the first person we will call when we book a venue. 100% recommend!!!!

and her hard work. Tessa brings passion, positivity, and talent to each interaction that shines through into her final product. We will cherish these photos forever and ever!! Tessa is the most kind-hearted individual. She is always so cheerful and knows how to make each person feel at ease. Our friends and family raved to us about how wonderful she was and how her energy made the day even more fun. Tessa was involved in our planning process from the moment we started working together. She helped us a great deal with our timeline and made us feel prepared that we thought possible for the day of the wedding. Her professionalism is off the charts, and she continually impressed us with her talent and creativity. Each time we received photos from Tessa, I was blown away by her ability not just to photograph a beautiful day, but to encapsulate the true emotion, love, and joy of each moment. She gave us the greatest gift for our wedding, a tangible memory of the day in those moments she captured. We are able to look back on the day and relive each moment together as if it were happening all over again. We could not recommend Tessa enough for any event- wedding, engagement, family photos, etc. She is extremely talented and a phenomenal person to work with!

ional. Her photos are STUNNING. We knew from the moment we met her that she was a perfect fit for us and we were even more ecstatic to see her amazing finished product. Without a doubt one of the best vendors we worked with and I would absolutely recommend her to anybody. She made us feel at home, comfortable, supported, and full of joy - a combination for an amazing photography experience.

make the shoot such a blast, but the photos were more beautiful than we could have imagined. She is an absolute ray of sunshine and is unbelievably talented. Tessa is the best in the business.

er professionalism, creativity, and passion for her craft shone through every step of the process, and the final product exceeded all of our expectations. Tessa's warm and friendly personality instantly put us at ease. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, understand our vision, and truly connect with us on a personal level. This personal touch made our wedding day feel even more special, and it is reflected in the photographs she captured. What sets Tessa apart is her ability to tell a story through her photographs. Looking through our wedding album feels like reliving the day all over again. Her shots are not just snapshots; they are narratives that convey the emotion, love, and joy of our wedding day. Tessa's talent for storytelling through her lens is truly remarkable. Thank you, Tessa, for turning our wedding day into a visual masterpiece. You are truly a gem in the world of wedding photography, and we feel privileged to have had you as our photographer.

My (now) husband haaaates taking pictures / being in front of a camera and Tessa helped him have a “real” smile the entire time and laugh his way through the session. She also helped keep us both calm throughout the family photos during the wedding and made the day flow so smoothly. We could say a million more wonderful things about Tessa, and cannot wait to work with her again :)

s to make you feel comfortable throughout the session. I appreciate her time and the energy she puts into her work - you can tell she really loves and enjoys what she does! Thank you Tessa for making these perfect engagement photos an everlasting memory!

rk and gloomy but our photos turned so bright and beautiful! Highly recommend!

e. My husanbd is defintely a bit camera shy but Tessa made him fel at ease. Tessa is so knowledgable in all things locations, lighting, posing that every photo looked natural and effortless. She also has was so aware of how we were feeling throughout the day. We felt how deeply she cared about us and our entire wedding party. Tessa has a beautiful talent of artistically capturing small, intimate details that made our wedding day so special. She found a way of memorializing a hand squeeze, a laugh with our guests, our dresses moving in the wind so well that the joy and love we felt that day is forever preserved. If I could give Starling Studio a million more starts I would.

least for me it was haha) and she is worth every penny! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help you through the whole process! Also her second photographer Paige was just as amazing! Cannot recommend enough! I’m so happy with all my photos!

On our wedding day, Tessa captured our incredible romantic moments, all the perfect little details, and truly had us laughing and crying at the same time out of pure joy. As a bride, having Tessa to guide me through such a fast-moving day was such a comfort that I feel to lucky to have had. Her communication, warmth, kindness and skill cannot be matched!! I will never forget how she made us feel on our wedding day. She shared a sneak peak of photos after the wedding and posted a reel video on Instagram that we have watched ~1000 times so far. Tessa is THE BEST choice we made for our wedding and I could not recommend her more. I can't think of ANY reason to look elsewhere. She nailed our engagement photos and our wedding photos were even better (if that's possible)! We can't wait to work with Tessa again! She's a new friend for life! Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

which allowed my wife and I to feel very natural in front of the camera from our engagement session to our destination wedding. And for my LGBTQ+ brides/grooms out there - Tessa not only talks the talk, she WALKS the WALK. So THANK YOU, Tessa, for lending us your beautiful heart and eye for photography. We recommend you over and over again in hopes that everyone gets a chance to have a photographer that is as compassionate, talented, inclusive, helpful, and irreplaceable as you were on the BEST day of our lives. We love you like family.

ers messages quickly, she's professional and organized, and her quality of work is the best of the best!

pecial by capturing everything from the little small details to the candid moments that no one thought was captured on camera. All the moments of our big day are captured so beautifully! We don’t even know how to begin to pick our favorites because they are all so good. Tessa (and Paige 😊) helped to make our day so smooth and made us feel so special. We will cherish these photos and memories forever.

s also amazing to work with. My first phone call with her felt like I was catching up with an old friend. Every interaction we had with Tessa was spot on. Our photos are INCREDIBLE. It’s impossible to pick a favorite. I may be biased, but every time I see another person’s wedding photos I think “I like mine better!” Tessa was amazing with everyone and especially with our flower girls who were feeling quite rowdy the day of the wedding. My husband and I still refer to Tessa as our MVP vendor! I found Tessa’s pricing to be extremely reasonable especially for the quality of her work. If I knew how amazing our photos would be, I honestly would have been fine paying double. Like I said, if you have not already booked with Tessa, go do it now!

mend Tessa for any couple looking for a photographer!!

We will have a formal thank you sent out to you here soon. You have been one of the best decisions we made in choosing the right people and vendors during our journey through being engaged and celebrating our wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🤍 All our love, Kelly & Zak

able and confident in front of the camera and she instantly felt like a friend we'd known for years. Our engagement photos turned out to be so beautiful that we couldn't wait to see how our wedding photos would look. On the day of our wedding, Tessa made us feel so calm (and excited!) and was able to think on her feet and be so flexible when we had to change plans due to rain. Tessa was quick to get us our wedding photos back after the wedding and they were even more incredible that we had expected. Will 100% be recommending her to anyone I know getting married in the future!

Most importantly, she is just a wonderful person - warm, kind, and so happy to be sharing a special time in life with you. Having photos I love of our wedding day was one of the most important things for us in our wedding planning process. I did not feel an ounce of worry or anxiousness on our wedding day that I wouldn't have those because I have all the faith in the world in Tessa. I still look at our wedding photos daily and am forever grateful to Tessa for capturing such an important day so wonderfully.

ut she made it all worth it and some! He finished the day commenting how much he enjoyed and appreciated her which is a huge compliment. In addition, Tessa was able to rally the troops (my family who was all enjoying themselves) and get some really great photos! She was assertive and took initiative to make the most of each moment. multiple people at the wedding commented on how lovely it was, and how incredible the photographer was for not wasting a second, but also not overstepping any boundaries. Thank you Tessa! I really hope to see you again someday soon!
