St. James 1868

If I could give this a thousand star review, I would. What an absolutely jaw-dropping venue, run by the most unbelievably talented, dedicated, and caring team. From the moment we booked St. James 1868 to the very last song of our reception, their team was there for us every step of the way. From the dozens of random questions and the tiniest decor details to our rehearsal and everything in between, they were always so attentive and helpful. They somehow made wedding planning feel easy. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. We had our ceremony in The Abbey, cocktail hour in The Hyde, and our reception back in The Abbey after the team executed an absolutely incredible room flip. Every single space took our breath away, and we had so many guests come up to us throughout the night completely in awe of the venue. The entire day flowed so seamlessly, and we genuinely could not have imagined it going any more perfectly. An especially huge shout-out to Kelsey, the Venue Manager, and Danielle, the Event Specialist. The professionalism, organization, and genuine care these two bring to what they do are beyond words. They made the entire planning process that much more enjoyable and ensured our wedding day timeline ran flawlessly. There was never a moment when we felt stressed or unsure. It was so clear how much pride they take in what they do, and we will forever be grateful for the part they played in making our day so special. We will never be able to thank them enough for the memories we made here. St. James 1868 will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.

I’m not sure how to start this review other than with one word: gratitude. When you spend over a year planning your wedding, you spend so much time thinking about the details—the flowers, food, music, décor, and all the little things you hope will come together perfectly. But when the day arrives, you realize that so much of what makes it special is the people behind the scenes who allow you to simply be present and enjoy it. That is exactly what the team at St. James did for us. We had several unexpected hiccups on our wedding day that were completely outside of St. James’ control, yet the staff remained calm, supportive, and ready to help wherever needed. They even stayed an additional three hours to make sure take-down went smoothly. Their care went beyond logistics too. They fluffed my dress before I walked down the aisle, made me feel beautiful and special, helped calm my nerves, and gave us a really special gift that added a thoughtful touch to our day. They made our family feel welcomed and cared for and helped bring our vision to life. I am so grateful for every person working behind the scenes who went above and beyond, even when it wasn’t their responsibility. Special shoutout to Jess, Liz, James, and Julie and the rest of the staff who was there that day! A huge thank you to Kelsey, who was incredibly organized throughout the planning process. She answered all my questions, helped me understand what to expect, and made me feel prepared going into our wedding day. Having someone so responsive and thoughtful made such a difference. And lastly, a huge thank you to Kate, the owner. A few days after our wedding, Kate called simply to check in. It’s hard to explain the emotions that come after spending over a year planning a day you’ve looked forward to for so long. Kate and I ended up talking for an hour and 23 minutes! Having experienced her own wedding, she understood the emotions I was feeling, listened, reassured me, and made me feel so much better. I also got to hear more about Kate’s journey and let me tell you, that woman could write a book! Her story is incredibly inspiring. She has taken risks many wouldn’t, pushed through challenges, and built something truly special. That conversation gave me an entirely new appreciation for St. James—not just as a venue, but for the person and passion behind it. It is a conversation I will remember for the rest of my life. One thing that stands out about St. James is how genuinely they get to know you. You never feel like just another couple. They care about your experience, your vision, and the memories you are creating. I now understand why they welcome you into the Royal Family. They truly make you feel like royalty. ❤️ When you choose St. James, you’re not just paying for a beautiful space. You’re investing in the service, expertise, and genuine care that come with it. Every wedding has its hiccups, but we had a team at St. James who cared enough to step in and help make the day special and make us not notice those. I am so incredibly grateful we chose St. James to begin this next chapter of our lives. We will always remember the beautiful day they helped us create, but just as importantly we will remember the people who made it possible.
