About this vendor
A few 2024 Spring & Fall Saturday dates are still available! Spicewood Vineyards has an old Texas feel with amenities expected of an elegant and upscale event - we like to call it Texas Chic. The vineyard backdrop, limestone and dark wood interior, sprawling ceilings, large cozy hearth, and award-winning wine all add to this rich venue. We have a laid-back vibe here, and you feel at home the moment you walk onto the property. But don't take our word for it - come try some wine and see and feel it all for yourself!
Our venue can fit up to 200 guests but a sweet spot is anything under 175. We have both indoor and outdoor ceremony sites as well as indoor and outdoor reception locations depending on the size and vision for your big day.

We celebrated our wedding on 4/26/25 at Spicewood Vineyards and couldn't have asked for a better venue. The ceremony took place outside, followed by the reception indoors. Many of ...
our guests asked how we found this gem of a venue and plan to return for the wine tasting room. The venue was perfect for a romantic vineyard wedding vibe. Hilary, the event manager, is extremely helpful, cheerful, and ready to help you have the wedding of your dreams without day-of stress.

d the entire Spicewood team. Planning a wedding from out of state can be challenging, but Lauren and Hilary's dedication and support made the entire process seamless.
From the moment we chose Spicewood Vineyards as our wedding venue, Lauren and Hilary went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. They tag-teamed effortlessly during the pre-wedding planning, making the distance feel like it was just a few miles away rather than across state lines. Their commitment to making our day special was evident in every interaction.
On the day of the wedding, Mother Nature threw us a curveball with stormy weather, and some guests, unfortunately, couldn't make it last minute. Lauren's unwavering support and quick thinking turned what could have been a disaster into a magical experience. She took the initiative and adjusted the reception layout to accommodate the unexpected changes and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
With the venue being naturally beautiful, there was not really a need to have a lot of decorations for the reception, however Spicewood had an assortment of decor that I was able to utilize which saved me a lot of time and money.
The Spicewood Vineyards staff, under Lauren and Hilary's leadership, worked tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere despite the weather challenges. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly remarkable. Our guests were amazed at how smoothly everything flowed, and we owe it all to the incredible team at Spicewood.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Lauren, Hilary, and the entire Spicewood Vineyards staff. They not only met but exceeded our expectations, turning our wedding day into a dream come true. The setting itself is already stunning, with lush vineyards and picturesque landscapes, but it's the people at Spicewood who make it truly exceptional.
And let's not forget to mention the wine – hands down the best in the state! Our guests are still raving about the delightful selection that perfectly complemented our celebration.
If you're considering a wedding venue near Austin, Texas, Spicewood Vineyards is an absolute gem! Lauren, Hilary, and the entire team will make sure your special day is nothing short of perfect. We feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen Spicewood Vineyards for our wedding, and we're looking forward to many future visits to relive the magic of our unforgettable day!

at we had available to us. I believe our guest count was around 40 people, and the event space was set up beautifully by my mom and Hilary with decor I provided + items the vineyard had on hand. We had space in the yard to play yard games + outdoor seating to enjoy the view + plenty of room in the dining area. Hilary was our bartender day of and very friendly + professional. There’s sooo much planning for a wedding, and it was amazing to walk into my rehearsal dinner and see it executed better than I’d envisioned!
We used her recommendation for catering, Bert Naumann with Texas Elite Meat, and our meal was amaaaazing and our guests thought so, too. Bert was also extremely easy, helpful and friendly to work with!
We looked around a few different areas for our rehearsal dinner, giving and taking on our budget with each option, and I’m so happy we went with Spicewood Vineyards!
Hilary was wonderful to work with and everyone on the staff is so friendly and accommodating. It was truly a special celebration!

m the moment we met Lauren and walked around the grounds, we felt at ease and most of all CELEBRATED!
Lauren worked endlessly to ensure all of our details were taken care of. She referred us to great vendors (like Dagar's Catering who we used for food...spectacular!...and our DJ), and she helped us think through all aspects of our wedding ahead of time.
We had an April wedding, the grounds were lush, and the day was simply perfect. We were able to have the ceremony in the lawn with the stream behind us. We had a five-piece jazz band playing on the patio before and after the ceremony during the cocktail hour. Then we moved our reception and dance party inside. The event space was beautiful and just the right size for food service, dancing, and moving around to talk to everyone.
In all, Spicewood was the perfect spot for our wedding. It was quaint, beautiful, and we felt incredibly supported and safe in celebrating our love with friends and family.
Perfect venue for weddings. Very beautiful and romantic. On site service is 1st class.

le day of coordinator (Lauren). Lauren was an awesome day of coordinator and really helped make our day even more amazing. Before the event she was very helpful and made sure to answer of all of our questions in a timely manner. She is very nice and really knows her game about coordinating weddings. Our event went without any issues. SV is such a beautiful place!! We did our wedding under the trees which provided good amount of shade and all the plants really added a special touch. We followed Lauren's recommendations for food, beer and rental vendors, and we couldn't be happier. We saved significant amounts of money and everybody loved the food! Also the best food I have had in a wedding hah. The wine is so good!! Certainly one of our favorite. We are part of the wine club now :D All in all, we 100% recommend SV and working with Lauren. We are so happy and thankful for having had this much luck and having had such a perfect day.

We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was.

out to us and tell us that they LOVED the venue and thought it was such a perfect place for our ceremony. Lauren (our venue / day of coordinator) was also extremely helpful leading up to the big day and when the day was here, we had nothing to worry about! We would highly recommend this venue for your special day and afterwards, it's a great winery to keep coming back to for delicious wine and great memories.

hs taken in the vineyard and wine cellar are absolutely stunning. Lauren was wonderful to work with; her pre-planning was extremely well-organized and covered all the bases, and her wedding-day coordination eliminated the stress of making sure everything got done - we didn’t worry about a thing and were able to simply enjoy every minute of the day and night! The vendors she recommended were all amazing. And of course the delicious wine at Spicewood was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!
I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our rehearsal dinner last Friday night. Everything at Spicewood Vineyards and with the outside vendors was superb, and I’ve ...
received many compliments from our guests. I could tell Lauren was a pro in our first telephone conversation, and that first impression was absolutely correct!

ail of our wedding. Not only was Lauren amazing, but the venue was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We initially planned for our wedding to take place outside but mother nature had other plans. It ended up pouring down rain the entire day and I was initially disappointed because Spicewood Vineyards is GORGEOUS outside but I ended up being more than happy with how gorgeous the inside ceremony was. Lauren also pulled everything together day-of and made our entire wedding day stress-free. Lauren made sure every single detail was perfectly in place and also ensured our wedding day ran according to schedule. Our guests did not, and still do not, stop commenting on how gorgeous the venue was and how good the wine tasted as well. I cannot say enough good things about Spicewood Vineyards and more importantly, I cannot say enough good things about Lauren. I would recommend Spicewood Vineyards to everyone!
Our experience at Spicewood Vineyards for our wedding venue was amazing and unforgettable. We were luckily paired with the amazing Lauren Spocetta as our planner and she made the c...
elebration so breezy to plan. Everything that we planned went smoothly and in a timely manner. I can’t thank this venue enough for the beautiful scenery and staff for the best night ever. They suggested our photographer, caterer, blooms, and beverage supply and all were amazing!! All we had to do was give the thumbs up and everything was taken care of. If you’re looking for a place for an inside or outside ceremony, reception inside/outside, amazing views during the day and lighting at night, and the whole place to yourselves??? Spicewood Vineyards is where you want to be. You won’t regret it!

nd everything was just magical, from the weather to the gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony. The indoor space is perfect for an intimate reception that still has plenty of room for a dance party! They can also easily move an outdoor ceremony indoors with a few hours notice. Lauren helped us plan and pick our vendors in addition to running the show the day of, and I can't imagine things running so smoothly without her! I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a Hill Country wedding!

as wonderful and wanted to help us achieve our vision, which included a ceremony site line that went against the normal selections, a dramatic scene as part of the ceremony, and working with vendors who had never been to Spicewood Vineyards before. It was a memorable night and we are very thankful that Lauren was there as our day of and on-site coordinator.

e, and while our wedding day ended up with perfect weather, we rested easy leading up to the date knowing we could quickly adapt to bring the ceremony indoors if the weather didn't accommodate. It was also great to work with an events manager as unflappable as Lauren throughout the process!

the day flow smoothly. The fact that we did not have constraints on vendors allowed us to have a more personalized (and cost effective) wedding, which was perfect for us. The vineyard's event spaces can be easily dressed up or down and I loved the fact that there are so many locations for the day's activities to take place! Our guests loved the location and the wine - it was a perfect taste of Hill Country!
Spicewood Vineyards was such a beautiful venue to have our wedding at. They had so many options for the ceremony, we had a hard time deciding even up to the day of the wedding! We ...
opted for the ceremony under the trees and it was perfect for an evening wedding because almost everyone was in the shade! The best bart about this venue is that you get Lauren. She is the event coordinator and completely made the experience. She met with us before hand and worked out all the details and helped us through multiple questions. She was always available to answer questions through the process. The day of she was incredible. She worked with completely new vendors without a complaint and she ran the whole day. There were so many little things that she took care of that I didn’t even think of. I can’t recommend this venue enough, I wish I could go back and re-do the whole thing again and again!

ing photos in the actual vineyards. Lauren was awesome to work with and was able to calm any of my worries about set up, weather, or having to take home too much rose. All the wine is provided by the venue and doing tastings is the perfect excuse to keep going back over and over before the day of. While they're not involved in the event itself, the staff at the vineyards are so nice and recognized us after our first visit. The indoor event space was wonderful for our reception and was super comfortable for our 75 guests and epic dance party. It was so nice to be able to do makeup and get dressed on site. The venue is also wheelchair accessible which was really important to me. One of the best parts of a summer wedding was getting to go down into the barrel room to take pictures. It was so cool after sweating through the ceremony and our photographer loved working in the space as well. Overall I could not have been happier with my venue choice. Spicewood is the perfect Texas vineyard with good wine to boot!

ots was a huge plus since one of our biggest "must haves" was a good indoor space in case of rain. The trees made for a gorgeous backdrop and the lawn near the building's entrance was perfect for outdoor games. The whole space was clean and well maintained, plus we loved that the rental included tables and chairs. Lauren was also amazing! She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and was able to give great tips on order of activities, wine choices, etc. She kept the day of running smoothly and on time. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

ing sure I did not forget anything during the planning stages and handled day-of coordination, which eased a lot of my stress. We also served their wine and it was just as good as the few times I'd had it before (visiting the venue and meeting with Lauren). I couldn't have imagined our wedding going any better, and Spicewood Vineyards was the perfect venue to hold it at.
We had an incredible wedding at Spicewood last year and cannot say enough about the beautiful location, friendly staff, and Lauren, the event manager.

d the stream in the background. The vineyards make for a wonderful photo backdrop. I particularly liked using the wrap-around porch for cocktail hour. And of course, the wine is yummy! Lauren, the event coordinator, is stellar. In addition to coordinating everything on the wedding day, she also helped us beforehand book a couple of our vendors. Working with her made planning the wedding as close to stress-free as possible. I cannot imagine our wedding anywhere else!
My dream wedding came true at Spicewood Vineyard. This is a hidden gem in the hill country. The wine is amazing and sells at a great price. The Vineyard is absolutely breathtaking,...
especially for our fall wedding. The venue is is set up for large and small events and includes more than you can even dream. It has multiple options to have your ceremony. We chose to have the Vineyard in our background and even took pictures before and after in the vineyard. Then we had our reception inside the event hall. It has a huge fireplace and beautiful bar. The bridesmaids room was in the event hall, so easy access if you need anything from your bag and the groom had his own cabin behind the building.
And the best part, is the wedding coordinator, Lauren. She is a dream to work with. Very professional and when it is all over, you feel like you just met your new best friend. Spicewood Vineyard is our favorite place to visit on the weekend now. We feel like family.

I recommend SWV for anyone who wants a completely personal, beautiful and austin-only wedding! Wish I could do it all over again!

e. Once we got engaged it was basically a no brainer to choose Spicewood. It is very affordable and they do not charge different rates seasonally which was a plus since we were getting married right in the middle of wedding season. Lauren the event coordinator did an awesome job answering all of my questions while I was planning, and did a great job during our rehearsal and the day of. She was extremely organized and kept everything running smoothly. The day of could not have been better! I would recommend Spicewood Vineyards to ANYONE looking for a wedding venue or even a party spot!
Lauren and the staff at Spicewood were absolutely amazing. Our wedding day was not only beautiful but stress free. Such a magical venue!!

m start to finish, and after.
We decided to get married with the vineyard behind us, but there were other lovely spots that we could have used as our backdrop if we so chose. The hall is available for the ceremony, but we used it for our reception. It is an easy place to decorate for most styles. We had just under 100 people and felt that there was enough room to dance and mingle. The wrap around porch was a great place for four 'cocktail hour' and relax.
Some of the perks with the venue include tables, chairs, and Lauren! She was perfect for our day of coordinator. Lauren always responded in a timely manner and was always willing to talk to us if we randomly showed up at the vineyard. She offered great tips, was quick with problem solving, shared some helpful resources, and was not shy to getting things done. Her experience shows in her ability to keep calm and keeping the event going when something unexpectedly happens (like when the bride's father manages to cancel a shuttle right before the ceremony).
There is not enough room to go on about how much we love this place and the people who work there!
We loved having our ceremony and reception at Spicewood! The venue was incredible, and the price was perfect.
Lauren acted as our day-of coordinator and she did a phenomenal job. ...
We ended up doing the ceremony inside due to the possibility of rain and Lauren walked us through making the call, then handled the changeover. She was absolutely incredible.
We loved the facilities, loved the staff, and loved the wines! We're so glad this is the place we chose to have our special day!

I came across Spicewood Vineyards after searching for places to get married at in Texas that were not in Fredericksberg. I found that Spicewood Vineyards made top ten vineyards to ...
get married from Texas Monthly magazine. And once I did a little more research, I knew it was the place for us. What sold me right away were the reviews for the flexible option for a back up rain plan if we weren't able to have an outdoor ceremony. Well, our wedding was November 7, 2015 which it rained nearly the entire week before, the day before and luckily (maybe?) the day of our wedding. So we were one of those couples that had to switch to the back up rain plan. Even though it wasn't my choice, the indoor option of the event center was absolutely beautiful and the cathedral style windows made it feel like we were in a chapel in the woods. The other positives that stuck out were that Spicewood was very dog friendly. So much so that every time we visited in the preceding months prior to the wedding, we always saw several dogs running around the property. We asked if our boxer, Casey, could be in the wedding and they didn't even hesitate. Casey walked down the aisle with our ring bearer and sat right next to my husband during the entire ceremony! Lastly, when I was researching vendors, the most important quality I look for is their responsiveness to emails. We worked with Marie in the beginning during the planning then Lauren took over Marie's position. Both these ladies were so on top of returning my emails and answering any questions. The owner, Ron, also went above and beyond to make our day perfect. It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Spicewood Vineyards is truly a hidden gem not to mention their wine is top tier Texas wine!
Spicewood Vineyards is a beautiful and unique setting for a wedding/reception! I don't think the pictures do the place justice, which left me feeling a little apprehensive before a...
ctually visiting the place... Once I saw the vineyard in person, I knew right away that we would have our reception there. Everything is so clean, refreshing, and tranquil. The views of the vineyard & the hill country right from the event center is astonishing. I loved the ability to use the event center in combination with the wrap around porch, and extended lawn area throughout the reception. Everything about the location and setting was absolutely perfect.
My favorite part about choosing Spicewood Vineyards is the people who work there... Lauren, the events manager, is absolutely amazing. She was prompt, professional, helpful, flexible, kind, and communicative throughout the entire process. She made me feel valued as a bride, which I really appreciated I cannot say enough how valuable Lauren was to us!
If you are looking for a setting that is truly customizable, then Spicewood Vineyards is the place... They are not an all-inclusive venue, but they are extremely affordable and let you do just about anything you'd like to bring your vision to life. I can't express enough how all-around wonderful our experience was!

y times, how warm and inviting the entire venue was. The lighting at night is stunningly beautiful and creates a backdrop for great photos. Their wine is delicious and had very generous glass pours (this was a hit with the guests.) Lauren, their in house coordinator, is fantastic. She went above and beyond her role as a coordinator and become more like my best friend! She kept us all on schedule without being bossy or pushy. Lauren was there everytime I needed ANYTHING from lipstick to finding my groom. Highly recommend contacting Lauren for your upcoming wedding!

e nervous changing all the planning with Lauren as Marie left the venue. But Lauren jumped right in without skipping a beat and the reception was flawless. Thank you, Lauren, it was the wedding and reception we had dreamed of for her and her husband. We would definitely work with you and Spicewood Vineyard again!!
We had our wedding in June, and Marie did an excellent job with the coordination. It's very stress relieving knowing you have someone with a wealth of experience whom can guide you...
in the right direction to make your day memorable. There are a few flaws - you cannot have beer cans or bottles due to the name brand? I found that odd, but we got past it by just pouring them in solo cups. Also, no liquor which is ok, but I highly recommend spending the money to do Sangria (Marie makes this for you from scratch). It was a huge hit at our wedding, and it was gone before we came in from photos. All in all, a great experience I would recommend this beautiful venue.
