My now husband (eek!!) and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Leah from Spellbound Events for our wedding this past Saturday, and we truly cannot recommend her and the Spe...
llbound team enough.
From our very first call, Leah made me feel so heard and understood in every vision I had for our day. Once planning began, she was incredibly helpful with vendor recommendations, creative ideas, and cost-effective options that never compromised quality. Anytime I had a question or concern, she was always quick to respond and made me feel at ease.
Weddings naturally come with a lot of opinions and moving parts between the couple, parents, and friends, but Leah always made sure to keep us at the center of every decision and reminded us what was most important. As we got closer to the wedding, she was beyond detailed in coordinating vendors, timelines, and making sure every invoice and payment was clearly laid out.
I also had many DIY elements I wanted to include, and she never once made me feel stressed or overwhelmed about bringing it all together. Leah and her team are truly professional, kind, organized, and so talented at what they do.
While I may be biased, our wedding was absolutely perfect—and our guests have said the same. It would not have come together so beautifully or smoothly without Leah and Spellbound Events. If you are getting married in Charleston, do yourself a favor and book them. You will be so glad you did!
I worked with Leah from Spellbound events for my wedding and could not have asked for anyone better. She is so detailed, will fight for what you want, design you the wedding of you...
r dreams, all while being cognizant of your budget!
I had gotten a few quotes from wedding planners in the Charleston area before choosing Spellbound and what initially stood out to me was that they were the first to not be dismissive of my budget! And from the moment we began working together I just knew I had made the right decision.
I truly was never stressed even one time during the wedding planning process because Leah was just always on it. Her professionalism, timeliness, and organization show from day 1 and you just know you can trust her. From things like just hyperlinking everything in our emails so all I have to do is just click, finding the best quotes to fit my budget when things I wanted might’ve been out of budget, or even convincing our ceremony musicians to play when there was a sudden dip in the weather that fell out of the range in our contract. There’s so much more I could say but you get the idea! They also know so many vendors and so so much about the Charleston wedding scene and can give you the best suggestions. Every vendor that we had at our wedding was phenomenal thanks to their suggestions.
And if what I said above wasn’t enough, I had so many people tell me after the wedding that I did such a good job designing everything and that it was one of the best and most beautiful weddings they’d ever been to! And I just had to tell them I actually did nothing and that it was all Leah! So if you want the wedding of your dreams and to have the most fun and stress free wedding planning experience ever you need to use Spellbound!!

it was full service. It was extremely easy to get in contact with Mandalynn even during the beginning stages. She reassured me and kept me stress-free throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding, Mandalynn and her assistant were ANGELS. I genuinely didn't have to worry about a single thing. Can’t even begin to express how happy and magical and perfect our wedding was thanks to Spellbound Events. From the beginning I knew that Mandalynn was the perfect wedding planner ...
to help us bring to life our most precious weekend! She was so fun to work with and always had so much energy and excitement for all the details, process, and planning. All I had to do was share with her our ideas of what we liked and she immediately pulled together the most fantastic styles, decor, vendors, etc. that matched our energy and vibes. During the wedding planning process, my friends would ask me how I was so zen and I would tell them it was thanks to Mandalynn and her team!! So so glad I had the chance to work with her and the team at Spellbound.

. Over the past year, she was the rock we clung to. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was super easy to work with, always available to answer our questions, offer guidance, and her attention to detail was truly impressive. She has plenty of experience and great ideas. All the stress of planning a destination wedding in Charleston was taken away and we were able to enjoy the whole process. We had to travel to Charleston just once! for the final tasting and rental selections. Her vendor’s suggestions were on point with my daughter’s vision. At the wedding date, our guests were blown away by the attention to details and her presence every step of the way. We didn't have to worry about a thing - we felt so reassured that she had everything sorted! My advice to those that want an outstanding wedding planner, use Mandalynn and Spellbound Events services because, I promise, it is worth it!!

throughout the entire process. All of their vendor recommendations were extremely helpful along with the management system that we were granted access to.
We specifically worked with Leah who was my absolute saving grace wedding weekend. Her calmness relaxed my nerves and she really took care of every need we had. This team will provide you with the support you need any beyond!

e through the whole process. She truly made the planning process fun and has the most calming presence in a hectic time. She worked with the vendors to make our vision come to life and the day could not have gone more perfectly. Whether you have a set vision or a vague idea of what you want the vibe of the day to be, Spellbound can help bring the event to life. Mandalynn was also there for us on the day-of and they made the perfect team. You will have nothing to worry about on the day of if you use Spellbound Events. The best part is Leah and Mandalynn just feel like friends that were at our wedding!
Leah also helped with our Friday events (a bridal shower and rehearsal dinner/welcome party) which was amazing. She was responsive and proactive and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will always look back with such happiness at our entire wedding process!

They perfectly executed my vision, and were so relaxed every step of the way. I am so thankful to them both for helping our dream turn into a reality! Having Leah as my right hand was crucial, and I think I would have had a MUCH different experience in planning without her support.
Thank you Spellbound!!! (photos in review by Annie Piland Photography)

ies. Camila was amazing and maintained a calm reassurance throughout the whole rollercoaster that is wedding planning. We planned a wedding in Charleston from CT and relied 100% on Camilas expertise. Every vendor she recommended felt curated for us, from photographer, florals, band, rentals . She was able to create the wedding of my dreams, which is remarkable on its own and an olympic triumph when you throw in a natural disaster. The week or so heading into our wedding Camila reached out to my then fiancé to create a contingency plan due to a hurricane. This allowed me to maintain an oblivious calm pretending our 3 years of planning wasn’t in danger, and a few days before was presented with an option where miraculously every single vendor was able to move back one day to sunday. Not only did we still have a picturesque day due to Camila’s recommendation of wedding insurance we saved $20k+. Could not recommend more.

ooking at venues, picking table linens, helping create a menu, executing the most beautiful day from start to finish- Camila was there every step of the way. She helped us hand pick each vendor from our big day, giving us options for everything that fit our exact vibe and budget! And she fuckin nailed it! She helped us assemble a team of vendors that not only felt like friends, but also were insanely talented. In addition, Camila was available, approachable, and responsive through the whole process over two years. She can diffuse any situation and address any concerns big or small. She provided invaluable guidance with large issues such as budget questions but was still also critically helpful with smaller details down to place setting. No matter how serious or flippant a question is she never made us feel dumb, judged, or crazy! Plus, Camila is just a super cool person and we feel like she became a trusted friend. Our wedding day went so smoothly because of Camila and the Spellbound team- we didn’t have to think about any of the details that day except enjoying the moment! And we sure did! When people ask us what our advice is for wedding planning, we will always say to hire a planner- and Camila is the one you want!
I knew from the beginning the team at Spellbound was going to be a perfect match for our day and I’m so glad we trusted Mandalynn and Leah to help make our vision come to life. We ...
really wanted our day to be a representation of our personalities and had some unique requests that they were so on board with and gave us the PERFECT vendor suggestions to match our vibe. With Charleston being a destination for our entire group, it was great to have this team to help navigate the months leading up to it and keep us on track. On the big day, I never once felt stressed or worried and while I know retrospectively there were minor hiccups throughout the day, we never felt them. If you want your dream wedding to become a reality, I would recommend Spellbound 1000%. I just wish all my friends would get married in Charleston so I can hang with these ladies more often!

and she is, beyond any reasonable doubt, the single reason our wedding was a dream come true. Mandalynn was such a genuinely kind and helpful person - from providing vendor suggestions, to keeping us on track with planning tasks, to doing final vendor contacts (considering we were out of state), and doing EVERYTHING the day of to make sure we didn’t have to worry or do anything - she did it all. I could not recommend Spellbound (and Mandalynn specifically) more. Thank you again, Spellbound team, for such an amazing and perfect day!!!

and having Camila's professional and local expertise was essential for making our wedding day vision come to life. Sometimes its hard to see how all the different aspects will all come together but I had all confidence that Camila would see it through and SHE DID!
She took all the inspiration I gave her and helped picked out vendors that matched the look and feel I was going for. Her chill vibe was invaluable whenever I wasn't sure about something. She was always willing to provide her opinion when I wanted/needed it but also was never over bearing or pushing about anything.
During the wedding day I didn't have to worry about a thing. She took care of all the vendors, made sure we stayed on our timeline, and all the behind the scenes tasks in order for the day to go seamlessly.
I highly recommend Camila to anyone planning a wedding! You will be thankful to have someone like her have your back though such a big time in your life!

Our families were both hesitant about our plans, but she knew just what to say to reassure them. We really cannot say enough nice things about her and the team at Spellbound. Hire these people! You will not be disappointed.

ng was a task bigger than I anticipated, especially during a pandemic. I was not able to meet any vendor until day off and she made me feel beyond organized and prepared. Her ideas were so creative and she dealt with all my theatrics with class. (I’m a lot) Her package includes the most helpful spreadsheets. We stayed on budget (all the groom cared about) and organized, her tools made everything fun. I am so grateful I hired such a professional, kind, and efficient planner. She was there for me every step of the way! The day of I woke up and floated through my day with no stress. I am still getting texts about our big day the entire event was magical. Being on the other side of this event I would highly recommend if you are apprehensive about if you need a planner, the answer is 1000x YES. The operation is meant to be enjoyed by you and all your guests. Having spellbound handle the little details was worth every penny. You need to hire Spellbound before your date is gone. I’m so proud to say I had a spellbound event.

The day of our November wedding I didn’t worry about a single thing knowing Camila was at our venue first thing in the morning. Everything was flawless. Her execution of my dream wedding day was exactly how I pictured it. I remember asking Camila—how do we know that everything will just fit together and work—she said just trust me. She was right! Everything that could have been controlled and planned was exceptional. When it started pouring rain the morning of our wedding—and didn’t stop—Camila didn’t miss a beat. She handled the weather like everything else that day, with ease. It was the best day of our lives, and I can say with certainty it wouldn’t have been the same without her.

It is hard to know exactly where to start this review, but I will try my best. From the first moment we spoke to Camila I knew she was our person. Being from Charleston but living ...
in NYC and planning our Charleston wedding we knew we needed someone who truly got us and man did she. She heard and knew our vision from day one- even all of our crazy ideas. She gave amazing input, feedback and help anywhere we needed it from both a budget and creative perspective. Then COVID 19 happened and everything changed. Our plans had to shift and our "roll with the punches" attitude had to come into focus. All the while (and this is her superpower) Camila remained cool, calm and collected. She weathers the storm flawlessly and helped us navigate such uncharted waters. Ultimately, we had a perfect wedding. She lead a tight ship but also was so insanely helpful, kind and so damn good at what she does! She is a leader, a visionary and someone who truly gave us a day that we, our families and our friends could never forget. We are so grateful she agreed to work with us and looking back- our gut was right- she was our gal! Wherever you are at in the wedding planning process I would highly advise booking her FIRST! Her insights are invaluable, her passion is palpable and her love is consuming and that is all you could ever dream of for your planner!!

So thankful for this team!

onded right away. I took more of a DIY approach with planning - and the excel sheet they provided was SO helpful in helping me to stay on task & pay attention to all of the little details I wasn't thinking about. On my wedding day, it POURED rain. Like monsoon level type stuff. Mandalynn expertly coordinated with all of the vendors to make any changes, created a whole new layout, and secured tent panels all last minute. Mandalynn and Camilla were total ROCKSTARS on my wedding day!! Even with all the rain, my wedding was everything I dreamt it would be, and I owe it all to these ladies. They took all of the ideas I had swimming around in my head, and all of my DIY wedding decor, and turned it into a unique masterpiece - all in the middle of a crazy rain storm with smiles on. Honestly, we didn't even notice the torrential downpour because the event was so perfect. When the event was over, they packed all of my stuff up so nicely, it took my parents all of 10 minutes to load it up. Rain, shine, or monsoon - you will want these ladies on your team to make all your wedding dreams come true. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

truly one of the reasons we decided to move forward with our destination wedding! She was honest, caring, and truly never missed a beat. There was no phone call or email that she did not answer whenever I needed. Planning a wedding is so stressful, but in Camila I found comfort. Every vendor she recommended was also spot on. From the bottom of my heart, do not hesitate to work with Spellbound events. You will not regret it!

son micro-wedding in NC due to the pandemic. Camila rolled with the punches seamlessly and was a rockstar even though it was a venue she'd never been to before (because she typically doesn't do weddings outside of the Charleston area).
I interviewed countless wedding coordinators/planners before Camila, but once I heard her calming voice over the phone--it was a done deal! She's unlike a lot of the planners in the area for many reasons but the most important to me personally being that she is inclusive and understands BIPOC brides. She was the perfect balance of a friend and a professional vendor. She is extremely knowledgeable, creative, very responsive (even when she had a newborn), organized, freakishly calm and calming, and extremely trustworthy and dependable... especially when it came to the days leading up to the wedding day and on the actually game day itself. She took initiation and filled in the gaps for the little things we didn't think about as well.
Our wedding day was truly perfect. And my now husband and I rave all the time about how smart of a decision it was for us to have hired Spellbound Events. We couldn't say enough good about them!

r, haha. Mandalynn was my go-to, my first-hand girl, my fix everything person, my amazing wedding planner! I picked partial planning because I wanted to have input but also needed that best friend mentality and to guide me along the way. I can't thank her enough for all of her effortless work that made our wedding a dream. Our wedding was so magical and so beautiful I want to do it again and a million more times! Planning a wedding is so stressful and so much work but if you have The Love Craft Team on your side it will be the most seamless process! Especially since I got Married this September of 2020 during this darn pandemic!! Mandalynn and her team kept me updated on all the regulations and made sure that our wedding weekend was flowing as accordingly! Gosh, I can't imagine planning any other event for the rest of my life without her honestly. We already told her were renewing our vows like next year and need a planner! We just need to throw another party like the one we had. It was the BEST DAY OF OUR LIFE! Thank you SOOO much! Mandalynn, you are a beautiful and amazing Wedding Planner! Camila, you are a stunning mother and I cant thank you enough either for all that you did to help on our special day! Cheers!
