Southern Grace Photography

te via text and PayPal, promptly saying anything to get me to sign up and pay "that day," with the promise of giving me a flat rate sans taxes and fees. Not only was the flat rate not honored, but this is the absolute worst customer experience I've ever had. I took my time filling out their "questionnaire" and sending correspondence from my venue only to have to do it all over again when I found out later they weren't even the ones shooting my day. The only communication I heard from them after booking was about if I'd wanted to do a boudoir shoot. After hearing nothing else I reached out to coordinate the day of timeline, and was finally told the photographer working my day would reach out about that. That's when I learned this company acts as a middle man and they don't do the shooting like they're marketing. I was finally put into contact with my actual photographer who has her own business. Olivia is amazing and her communication and editing is way better too! She explained to me that she'd take the photos and that these people would edit and deliver the gallery. After the wedding day, I patiently waited for my photo gallery noting that my contract said delivery would take place no later than 6 weeks from the shoot date. After hearing nothing by week 6, I reached out twice and was ignored. At this point I was also learning they were months behind on their editing, not paying their "employees," and keeping equipment their photographers owned and paid for. I started to panic, wondering if I'd given my money to a fraudulent vendor, so I went to PayPal requesting a partial refund for the photos that hadn't been delivered or communicated about. Conveniently after I put in a claim, I heard from them on a Sunday morning that they simply had "a few ahead of me yet," meaning at the 6 week mark they hadn't even touched my photos yet. I reminded them I signed a contract and explained that since editing was their hold up, I'd simply like a partial refund for the editing fee and to receive the unedited photos I had paid for. At this point they went mad for days with legal threats and of "destroying" my wedding photos if I didn't drop the PayPal case, and repeatedly refused to work with me on any partial refund for the broken contract, not even a refund for the amount they overcharged me to begin with! They claimed if I dropped the case they would "rush" my photos in another 10 days, but if they couldn't honor a contract how was I to believe a text? So after days of anxiety, threats, and arguing, I dropped my PayPal case. The photos finally came and this is the worst editing I've ever seen. There are blue lines around our heads in some of the photos and in parts it looks cartoonish. I am extremely disappointed I spent the money that I did just to have to find a way to fix my wedding photos after they broke their contract. I ended up waiting 8 weeks total for my photos and that is ONLY because I went to PayPal. Had I not, there's no way of knowing when my photos would have actually come. It's one thing to have to wait and be understanding, but this company will ignore you as long as you let them once they have your money. Steer clear of these people, and check out Olivia and Sean Bowick instead- I wished I'd just known about them and hired them to begin with!

ime job and outsources the picture taking to others. They get paid to be the middle man and frankly it shows. Before we signed the contract, we were told they were full time photographers & the husband/wife team would be the ones shooting our wedding. They stated they do all of the editing themselves, which does seem to be correct. When asked about timelines for delivery, they stated a 6 week turn around as our wedding was very small. The truth is they are so focused on other things, they can’t deliver on their promises. Customer service is hands down the worst I have ever experienced. The signed contract clearly states pictures would be delivered no later than 6 weeks from the event. Our wedding was April 8, 2023, making May 20, 2023 the 6 weeks mark. We heard nothing from them after the wedding, so we reached out on May 12 to get an update & to see if delivery was on track for the following week. I was simply told, “Weddings take 6 – 8 weeks”. No other details or information was provided. We understand things happen & while we were disappointed they would be late, we understood. We suggested they update their contract to reflect a more appropriate & realistic timeline for future clients. We followed up again as follows. - May 30 asked for an update & no response was given - June 2 we were told “we have been running 8 – 12 weeks, but that’s not your problem.” They also said pictures are in the process of being edited & would be delivered next week - June 9 again no response - June 10 we were told the pictures were in final post & would be delivered next week, before June 16 - June 15 we asked what time the pictures would be delivered. 9 hours later, the response was simply a link to the pictures. No other information or details, but we finally got the pictures nearly 4 weeks after the contractual delivery date. (Copies of the messages are included so you can see what actually happened. I’ve seen reviews where they try to deny these behaviors & it’s important for people to know who they are dealing with) Communication is not proactive & when you’re lucky enough to get a response, it’s short, rude, & very unprofessional. In the beginning, they were professional & kind. That all changed after the contract was signed. We paid our deposit & they went silent until 2/2/23, not to check in about the wedding but to see if I wanted to spend more money by adding a boudoir session, which I politely declined. I asked if we could set up a time to talk over the next week to cover the day of & review the timelines. To which I was told “your photographer will be reaching out”. This was the first clue we had that they were outsourcing the photography. They never actually told us this would be happening. We had to reach out again on 2/11 to ask about setting up time to review the timeline, shot list, & other planning items for wedding day. I was finally given a first name only of the photographer & was told she would be giving us a call. On Feb 14th, we reached out again to get the photographers phone number as we had not heard anything from them. It took looping our wedding coordinator into the conversation to get the number. It should not have taken us reaching out 3 times over the course of 12 days to get connected with whomever is providing a service at our wedding.

ad such an amazing energy! She is FANTASTIC not to mention hilarious and helps calm all the day of jitters you get as a bride! She was so cohesive with blending in on our wedding day with all the other vendors to make it run so seamlessly! I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone. Also would love to talk about Rob, he shot my bridal portraits and was so quick and efficient, I loved them! The editing took longer then we had anticipated but overall would recommend to anyone!
