I had my bridal shower at SHCC and it was amazing! My event exceeded my expectations. Sarah was so helpful with planning my event and keeping me updated with anything I needed to k...
now throughout the process. Sarah made sure we were prepared with everything we needed to make the event perfect! The staff went above and beyond to help with anything we needed, and we couldn’t be more appreciative! Everyone at SHCC was friendly and welcoming to host our event. The food was absolutely spectacular, my guests were raving about it! I would highly suggest having an event like this in the future! 10/10!!
The South Hills Country Club is close to my family's heart...many live nearby and my aunt had her wedding there back in the 90s. That is one of the reasons why I chose it as my ve...
nue location, in addition to it being beautiful on the inside.
First of all, the food is delicious! Many guests said that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The steak was especially delicious. The dance floor is the perfect size for 200 people, the bar was quick with the drink orders, and the cocktail area was nicely decorated. The day of the wedding went so smooth- I couldn't have asked for anything better!
The only reason why I took away one star is due to communication. Emails and phone calls would go unanswered for weeks, which could get frustrating. In the end, it all turned out well.
South Hills Country Club was a wonderful place for our reception! We had around 180 guests and fit great in their ballroom. The room was better than we had ever imagined. Barb wa...
s wonderful coordinating all of the details of the wedding. We had no doubts that everything would come together beautifully, and it did! The only down side was we had an extremely hard time communicating with the club. They had many new managers who changed a lot and nothing was communicating with us about changes to weddings held at their location. Also, it was almost impossible to schedule times to meet with people. However, when we were there, they were attentive, charming, dedicated and understanding. Overall, it turned out to be a wonderful reception site.
Barb met all my needs thanks!
I will start off by saying the country club would have been a very beautiful venue (and was when we looked at it a year before our wedding) if they had not been doing a massive amo...
unt of construction on the grass which was all torn up and brown dirt in a lot of places. There were so many issues overall I can't even begin but to say make sure that you have everything in writing. After 11 months of discussion with Barb of what we wanted/how we wanted it, it's as if that whole period of time never happened and we started anew 1 month before our wedding which was insanely stressful. The chef was rude to us during our tasting but the food turned out very well and everyone liked it. The club was set up how we wanted it in the end but it took going over there 3 times the week of to get it that way. Don't expect the "on-course" photographs that are listed on the services provided for the fee. Every tree we/our photographer asked about was off limits because it was "on the course". It was a nice venue for the price and people liked the food/wedding, but for all the added stress and work I had to do to make sure Barb was on track in the last month I would have rather have paid more for a more professional/full service venue.
I loved having our reception at South Hills Country Club! It was an incredible value and just an amazing location - it's beyond beautiful. My husband and I had a fall wedding and...
our photos are stunning thanks to the amazing trees and golf course in the background. The actual ballroom is gorgeous too and provides great flexibility in terms of how you'd like to decorate the room.
Plus, there is an onsite coordinator who is very helpful! She has tons of suggestions and is so helpful in find a good deal!
I had my ceremony and reception at SHCC. It was a fantastic venue. The decor is beautiful and modern creams, black and brown. The food was delicious. I heard over and over that it w...
as the best wedding food EVER!!!The shrimp barsac was amazing. Barb is an exceptional person--she is such an asset to SHCC. She is kind, organized, friendly, attentive and overall a great person. Thank you for the wonderful memories!!! You will not be disappointed in anything at this venue. I have had so many compliments about what a perfect wedding I had...exactly what I envisioned
My in-laws hosted our rehearsal dinner at the South Hills Country Club. The food was set up in stations, a pasta station (the chef makes it in front of you, customized orders), a s...
alad station and a carving station. All of the food was delicious and it was nice because everyone could get what they wanted! The view over looking the golf course was nice, especially as the sun set. Would highly recommend the South Hills Country Club for a rehearsal dinner
We had my bridal shower here, and it was perfect! The food and environment was great for the occasion!
My daughter had her wedding at SHCC on 9-18-10 and I can't recommend this venue and the staff enough. From the early planning until the wedding, the coordinator (Barb) worked with...
us on every detail. My daughter's ceremony was also at the CC and, again, no detail was missed. Barb and her staff took care of all of our requests. The reception was beautiful and again, it was detail, detail, detail. Extraordinary!!! The food was beautifully presented and we received many compliments on the sit-down dinner. Both the bride's family and the groom's family were very happy with all that SHCC did to make this a truly memorable day.
