Dj Rick was the best Dj we could’ve asked for! He really listened to our requests and made sure to play music that got everyone on the dance floor— even our grandparents! He also made sure to play all sorts of music, per our request, we had some spanish, some line dancing, some club, and some slow songs as well. Everything flowed nicely throughout the reception and the timing for the ceremony was also perfect. We loved that Dj Rick really sat and talked to us about what we really wanted played, how we wanted the timeline to go, and he made sure to stick to everything beautifully. There was even some last minute changes to the schedule and he was very easy to work with our other vendors, and made our day one of a kind and perfect. If we had to do it all over again, we would definitely be calling Dj Rick at Sounds Great Entertainment!! Thank you!

For this reason, owner Rick Pegram has developed a style that is spirited but restrained. This seasoned entertainer is committed to providing a lively celebration which you and your loved ones will not soon forget.
A longtime music lover, Rick was the friend who would show up to every party with his stack of records in tow. From a young age he was bringing his music with him and unknowingly honing his skills for a future career. This skillset was further sharpened in places like nightclubs and casinos until he found his way to weddings. In 1996 he opened his own business and he hasn’t looked back.
Sounds Great Entertainment’s owner is focused on staying on top of current trends and learning from other professionals in the industry. This quest for constant innovation is why Rick has remained successful for over three decades. His outgoing nature makes it easy for him to connect with you and your guests for a fun-filled evening of dancing.
Rick’s commitment to personalizing each and every event begins with a one-on-one consultation to discuss your music tastes and preferences. He will then go on to develop a customized package that is the right fit for you and your event. This DJ also offers up lighting to create the perfect mood for your reception.

I truly love what I do. I still get excited with every event that I do. There is nothing that makes me more happy than seeing newly wedded couples and their guests have a great time. I got started by being the person who would "play the records" at any party that me and my friends would attend. From there I started doing clubs which lead me to where I am now. I probably average about 40+ weddings a year. I like to think what makes me unique is that I don't make it about me, I'm here for "you"

On the wedding day, Rick absolutely nailed it! He created the perfect atmosphere, from the elegant background music during dinner to the high-energy dance party that followed. He also did an amazing job reading the crowd—if a song wasn’t quite hitting the mark, he seamlessly transitioned to something else that got everyone moving. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
