We booked Sound Illusions for our wedding DJ + photobooth, and working with Manny was a dream! We absolutely loved talking and planning with him, he is the kindest man. We absolutely LOVED having Manny as our wedding DJ! He brought such amazing energy to our wedding and was genuinely such a nice, fun, and professional guy to work with. He did an incredible job keeping the energy up and making sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the day. Before the wedding, he set up a few meetings with us to go over our music selections for cocktail hour and the dinner reception, making sure everything aligned with the vibe we wanted for our special day. What really stood out was his attention to detail and ability to read the room. He was very intentional about timing and knew exactly when to cue us for our grand entrance and throughout the ceremony. He was also great at thinking on his feet and improvising when needed. For example, he recognized that we needed a little breather between our first dance and our greeting speech and adjusted accordingly without making anything feel awkward or rushed. That kind of awareness and flexibility made such a difference and helped the entire evening feel natural and seamless. Manny really understood the flow of our wedding and knew how to keep guests engaged while making sure we had the time and space we needed to enjoy each moment. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! I loved that I was able to choose my music and provided Manny with Spotify links. Manny provided a microphone for the ceremony as well as the speech. Fast forward 2 years later to our June 22, 2024 and Manny blew us away with the music and smoothness of our day! We had a small hiccup with the start of our ceremony (not related to Manny) and he handled it so well that none of our guests even noticed the small bump in the plan. The music played matched every part or the night.. I even told him when we were dancing in our reception that he could play whatever he wanted to match the vibe and to scratch our playlist we made haha. He is so easy going and was a huge reason we loved our wedding. The guests had AMAZING things to say about his professionalism, upbeat demeanor and overall role in the night. My favorite part of the night (our private last dance) was the most intimate and special moment to end with and thankfully Manny was able to set up his tripod and film it for us without us even noticing until the very end. We now have one our most memorable moments on film just for us to enjoy over and over again. I want to host more events simply to have Manny involved and dj for us again. Top notch service! He literally didn’t pause before starring *Manny at Sound Illusion*. We met Manny over the phone and he was instantly the right energy that we knew would take care of our full age range of guests while keeping it really fun for us. He was extremely organized with forms where we could write our exact music requests, had phone meetings with us to verbally talk through the whole day and make sure we were all on the same page. He also was always happy to suggest music, etc, if we weren’t sure or didn’t have a strong opinion. On the wedding day he DELIVERED. The way he transitioned songs to keep the dance floor going for FIVE HOURS, he hosted our Shoe Game, gave guests a slow break he sensed that they needed and then got guests literally running back to the dance floor the rest of the night. He was also the NICEST human being. We heard stories that he has literally given a speech at weddings when the best man got nervous and left, helped host a wedding when the bride/groom and family didn’t show up from the ceremony location, and so much more. He kept making us feel excited for our wedding and we will recommend him for the rest of our marriage. If you can manage to book him, there is no other choice than to do so haha.

He also sent over our important songs in advance to make sure they were the right versions. He was alway super enthusiastic and I really enjoyed working with him. During the wedding, he had three different stations and no one saw him move all of his gear. One minute he was at the ceremony and next all his stuff was at the first dance space outside and in a blink of an eye he was inside by the dance floor. He was like a NINJA and I appreciated the behind the scenes efficiency. I would 20/20 recommend over and over again!
