Sound By Design

e ever need a DJ for a future event, or if someone ask for a recommendation, Joey from sounds by design will come out of my mouth immediately. All our guests said this really set the vibe for the whole night. THANK YOU JOEY!! We love you! - Sam & Bailey Seibold

an, our head DJ, was so easy to communicate with and really was dedicated to bringing our vision for the night to life. The dance floor was packed for the entire night, so much so that staff at the venue said it was one of the most lively dance floors they’d seen! I would recommend Sound By Design a million times over, and count yourself lucky if Ryan is your DJ!!

definitely made this process smooth and easy. The best DJ company in Milwaukee hands-down!

s level of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Throughout the planning process, SBD was the vendor I was most confident in and trusted the most to understand our vision and execute the ideas! Mateo expertly read the vibes of the room and kept our dance floor packed ALL NIGHT LONG! Not only were the song choices spectacular, but also was Mateo’s MC talent! He kept the vibes while providing direction to guests and ensuring our timeline stayed true to plan. We’ve gotten countless compliments about the DJ from our guests. Our day simply wouldn’t not have been the success it was without SBD.

how late it was. My band also played the ceremony music for us and Sound By Design was great at working with them to coordinate any sound needs without us even really needing to be involved. They have this cool program too that lets you upload playlists if you have any "must plays" for the reception or if you have other music vibes that you want to make sure are present during cocktail hour, rehearsal dinner etc. 10/10 highly recommend!

st fun vibe throughout the whole night! We could not recommend her and the team at Sound by Design more!

paired us with Kyle who did a phenomenal job DJing our wedding! He was so nice and fun and truly nailed the mixing for our reception music! We would 1000% recommend Kyle to DJ your wedding!!

s truly incredible. They completely let us decide weather or not we could do our ceremony outdoors or not because of rain. We ended up doing it indoors, but it was truly a last minute decision, and without hesitation, the team made it happen for us. The MCing was fantastic. The announcements were made at the right time. Special shoutout to our DJ Zach Lyda for bringing the HYPE, and also checking in with us multiple times to make sure that our day was running smoothly and in the way that we wanted. My family is from the middle east, and we requested arabic music to be played for certain parts of the night. The DJ did fantastic with this, and played just the right amount of music, and also played all of our requests. In general, we made a highly curated playlist for the DJ for cocktail hour music, reception music, grand entrance songs, dancing, etc -- and they truly played everything that we wanted. It was incredible!! All in all, if you are someone who wants an extremely specific timeline, and specific music to be played at your wedding: go with Sound by Design. Their music portal allows you to be incredibly specific about what you want, and what you DON'T want. 11/10 service. Highly recommend!!!

ur DJ, our uplighting, photobooth and dance floor rental. We couldn’t have been in better hands. They really are exceptional at communication, MCing the big day and most importantly making your guests wanna drop it low! They were so amazing to work with, especially Zach Lyda who was our DJ on our big day. Everything was absolutely perfect!! Just have a look for yourself the fun and magic of our big day. Thank you thank you thank you, sound by design!

requests with the DJ setup, songs, etc - but they did not miss a detail, and everything was perfect. Highly recommend their team & Ryan specifically. Thank you!

ergy, everyone loved them.  HIGHLY recommend!!

ands down one of the best decisions we made. The SBD team's professionalism was unmatched, but what meant even more to us was the compassion and care they provided throughout the entire process. Ray took the time to get to know us, listen to what mattered the most to us, and somehow turn our interests and love story into a celebration that felt so uniquely and authentically US! Ray and the SBD team constantly went above and beyond- always checking in on us, always offering guidance, and making sure every detail was how we envisioned it. On our wedding day, Ray was so much more than just an AMAZING DJ. He was the one keeping everything flowing smoothly while creating an atmosphere so full of joy, laughter, and nonstop dancing! Seeing our family and friends having the time of their lives is memory we will always treasure and Ray (& SBD) played such a huge role in making that happen. The music, the energy, the compassion and the heart Ray and SBD brought to our wedding made all the difference. We are endlessly grateful for the passion and care they poured into making our day so special. We HIGHLY recommend Sound By Design to EVERY couple planning a wedding- they are truly the best there is!

ughout the planning and kept everything on track day of. He was very responsive and helpful in planning our dance floor as that was a very important part of the day to us. He took our requests and made it happen! He also created my dance mashup with my dad and it was perfect. Huge fan of Mateo and SBD! We also added the photobooth and that was a huge hit all night long, absolutely worth the addition.

ver! We got so many compliments on how fun and seamless it all was. Please consider them for your wedding if you want to have an unforgettable experience! Thanks again Ryan for such an incredible night that we will remember forever!

with the team a few times leading up to our wedding and when it came to our wedding day what I expressed I was looking for was executed flawlessly. Joey was our main DJ day of and he brought the energy and read our crowd so well he kept the dance floor going all night long. Again, cannot recommend the team at Sound By Design enough.

so much fun, and our guests are still talking about how great the music was. Highly recommend Connor and Sound by Design

g of what we wanted our day to look like and the dance. We felt like he fully understood our vision. Our dance floor was packed all the way until the last song, it was incredible. Thank you to Mateo and Eli for making it the best atmosphere!!

ct from the beginning, and he was the best to work with. His communication was super clear, he was incredibly prompt with responses, and incredibly knowledgeable. We received payment reminders that were so helpful to stay on top of that aspect and the cost for service was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. The night of the wedding could not have run more flawlessly. Mateo and his assistant (I'm so sorry I don't remember his name) absolutely killed it. The sound, emceeing, and lighting were all top tier. The one thing we wanted for our wedding was a bumping dance floor and my goodness did they deliver!! The dance floor was absolutely packed all night long (see attached photos). We could not have been happier with the experience of working with Mateo and Sound by Design, and if I had to do it all over again I would choose them every single time.

verything we needed to make sure the wedding went great. He had a great feel for what was working with the crowd, we've gotten so many compliments on his MCing during ceremony/dinner/reception and the energy he brought through the end of the night.

nish. He also helped manage the flow of the day seamlessly, so we never missed a beat. We’re so grateful for all the support and professionalism from Conner and Ray. Our wedding day was truly special thanks to you, and we’ll absolutely be recommending Sound By Design to anyone looking for an amazing DJ!

e were still on our timeline and when we felt ready to get things moving throughout the night. He made sure our wedding party was aware of what was going on for grand entrance since my husband and I were outside finishing photos, and also made our matron/maids of honor and 2 best men feel really good before their speeches with an awesome pep talk. He was interactive with our guests on the dance floor while remaining professional and minding our requests for the evening , and we received tons of compliments on all of our music and how good his energy was. Conner talked to us many times before and kept in touch, they were by far our easiest vendor to work with. Fête should always keep them as a preferred vendor!

s perfectly. I cannot recommend sound by design enough! I am 100% satisfied with everything they did!

y DJ, Max, did an amazing job to make my day sound exactly as I envisioned it. You should absolutely book Sound by Design for your wedding, their DJ team is phenomenal. Thank you Sound by Design for an amazing day!

, amazing energy, and such a great mix of songs that kept everyone (young and old) out there dancing. Beyond the music, Harry was so fun, professional, and easy to work with. He really helped set the vibe for the whole night, and we couldn’t imagine our wedding without him. If you want a DJ who knows how to throw a party and keep the good vibes going, Harry is the one!

ng a photo booth to our package. Our DJ, Kyle, was truly incredible. We are still getting compliments on his performance, and we believe a few of our guests have even reached out to book him for their own events. Kyle did a phenomenal job of curating the perfect mix of music, and he kept people on the dance floor all night long. He's a true professional who actually mixes the music instead of just fading from one song to the next, which really kept the pace and energy high. He was also a huge support for everyone giving speeches, and he even inspired an impromptu speech from the groom! We were so grateful that he also helped make sure the audio for all the speeches was recorded for us. We highly recommend Kyle from the Sound By Design team. He's not only a fantastic DJ but also an essential part of making our wedding a night to remember.

to extreme heat, they did not want to play outside for cocktail hour. SBD was right there ready to play all of the quartet versions of songs that we wanted. Ray not only worked with us to surprise our guests with Bucky Badger, but also worked with our parents to surprise us with a special wedding announcement clip from the Cubs game. Our guests were on the dance floor all night, which is exactly how we imagined our wedding! We HIGHLY recommend using SBD as your DJ!

recommend

eat job. Brought a lot of great energy and professionalism. Booking Sound by Design was one of our best vendor choices! Can't recommend enough

on and organized our song suggestions perfectly. Very professional and they were able to make my vision of having vinyl played during my cocktail hour a reality!

n, our style, and the kind of energy we wanted for our wedding day—and they absolutely nailed it. The music flowed perfectly from cocktail hour to dinner to the dance floor. Every transition was seamless, every song felt like it was handpicked for the moment, and the dance floor was grooving all night long. They were also amazing at reading the crowd—switching things up when needed and keeping the energy high without it ever feeling forced. They made our day unforgettable, and we’re so grateful we chose them. If you want someone who will go above and beyond to make your event perfect, book them now. You won’t regret it!

he in person meetings really helped to put an anxious couple planning their wedding at ease. They know what they are doing at sound by design and you won’t regret booking them!

t the night a bit underwhelming. While they did ask us for a playlist, we aren’t professional DJs, so we weren’t sure what should or shouldn’t be played at a wedding. We were surprised that Ryan played the songs in the exact order we listed them, as we didn’t realize we needed to organize the playlist for them to simply hit “next.” The songs were also played one after another without much mixing, which was disappointing. We felt the DJ could have done a better job reading the room and adjusting the playlist when it wasn’t resonating with the crowd, rather than relying on guests to go up and request changes to get people on the dance floor. Ryan’s assistant (whose name we didn’t get) helped release tables for dinner, but they were sending up only one table at a time. Since we had a buffet, it would have been more efficient to release tables from opposite ends of the room to keep the line moving. Lastly, we didn’t love that the contract included a required 15% tip, rather than allowing us to decide the tip amount based on the service provided.

r and then matched the energy we requested during our initial conversations for the dancing part of the evening. He always checked with us before any big moment or change was happening. At one moment we couldn't find the photographer before a big moment and Ryan personally came to find me to let me know what was going on and ensure me that we would be right back on track soon. Overall such a great experience and would be honored to attend another event DJ'd by Sound by Design!

nd, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. Amidst all the chaos that comes with planning a wedding, Conner's patience and positivity truly stood out. He made everything feel so smooth and stress-free, and we felt totally confident putting our big day in his hands. And let’s talk about the dance floor... it was electric! All I wanted was a full, high-energy dance floor, and Conner made it happen. One of our guests said, “Thank you for serving us the most electric dance floor on earth”—and that says it all. Our guests were dancing all night long, and it was everything we hoped for and more. If you're looking for a DJ who is not only talented but also an absolute joy to work with, look no further. We feel so lucky to have worked with Conner at Sound by Design, and we cannot recommend him and this company enough!

ever empty and he kept our wedding crowd hyped the entire night. We truly feel that no one else would have made our night special. I will be keeping him on speed dial if I ever need a DJ service in the future! I promise you will not regret using Conner or anyone from Sound By Design.

ion came to life! I appreciated the consultation meetings prior to the wedding where Conner made sure to get a full picture of the vision for the day. He had great recommendations while also tailoring the schedule to look how we wanted. We are grateful for Conner and this great team!

ands, but what they delivered on our wedding day went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Max was absolutely spectacular! He brought so much energy, professionalism, and expertise to our celebration. Not only did he create the perfect vibe from start to finish, but he also read the crowd perfectly. The music selection was spot-on, and he kept the dance floor packed all night long. Honestly, I've never seen so many guests dancing at a wedding—people were on that floor for hours, and they were all having the time of their lives. So many of our guests came up to us afterward and said it was the best wedding dance party they’d ever attended. One guest even remarked, "I’ve never seen that many people on a dance floor at a wedding before!" That’s a testament to Max’s incredible talent and ability to create the perfect atmosphere. Max wasn’t alone in making our day perfect; his assistant, Tony, was also outstanding. From the smooth transitions between events to making sure everything ran according to schedule, Tony was crucial in keeping things flowing seamlessly. Together, Max and Tony made our wedding day feel effortless, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support. If you're looking for a DJ who will not only meet but exceed your expectations, I highly recommend Sound by Design. Max and his team will make your wedding an unforgettable celebration!

make it happen. Mateo was an excellent event/project manager, making sure we kept up with the information and decisions they needed from us. Olivia was a fantastic DJ - she did a great job MCing the evening and her playlist was on point with all of our guidance and requests. We also appreciated that their setup and their MCing of the evening didn’t draw too much attention - their setup was perfect for the venue. It helped that they are the preferred DJ for the venue’s other events. We found their pricing and packaging very reasonable, especially for the excellent level of service. We added on a 360 Photo Booth not long before the wedding, and we still received a discount. They also offered additional rentals that were available. Although we didn’t need them, their design resources were extensive and I trust they would have been equally easy to work with. I would work with Sound by Design for future events, and I highly recommend them to any couple with a Milwaukee wedding.

kept the energy high with a perfect mix of songs that had everyone dancing all night. The sound quality was great, lighting in the venue really improved the ambiance of the venue, and the Photo Booth was a crowd favorites- our DJ even mailed us a copy of all the photos in an album. We received so many compliments from guests about the music! Highly recommend Sound by Design and Max for anyone looking to make their wedding unforgettable!

friendly and their service the day of was excellent. Our guests had a blast and said they were the best DJs they had ever seen! I can not say enough good things, thank you again Conner!

he did an AMAZING job mixing some of our first dance songs to fit the timeline we were hoping for. He timed all of our ceremony music perfectly and was so helpful with any minor things we needed throughout the night. We loved the music portal and how specific we were able to be with our music selection. We truly could not leave the dance floor all night - would highly recommend SBD and Ryan specifically!

list rules, Conner far exceeded my expectations and listened to my wants/needs. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! Conner was easy to work with, very attentive and insightful and made me feel so relaxed throughout the entire processing, taking a huge burden and stress off my shoulders. You would be lucky to work with Conner and the Sound By Design team!
