Look no further than Jay of Sororal Twin Studios - book him immediately for your wedding day! Jay came highly recommended from friends who got married last year, and it was truly t...
he best recommendation we could ever have received! We hired Jay immediately after their recommendation and are so happy we did. From our engagement photos through the wedding day, Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was communicative, on time, fun to be around, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get the most incredible shots of DC, including scaling the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on a crowded April Saturday, knowing how meaningful the monuments are to my now-husband and I! Our wedding party RAVED and continues to rave a week later about how wonderful and stress-free he made our wedding party and family photos on the day of - including expertly managing photos with two toddlers who would have preferred to be napping! :) We could not have asked for a better photographer than Jay and will be recommending him to everyone we know. Thank you, Jay, for making our day so magical!
Jay of Sororal Twin Studios was incredibly accommodating to our unique event. Our wedding was held outside, in unfavorably chilly conditions, but he handled it with grace and tact...
fully captured our entire prep, ceremony, reception, and exit. He was able to skillfully capture even difficult shots, like the sparkler tornado in the woods, and was kind enough to offer to stay late to ensure we got the final dances and exit covered. We selected the "Combo Package" which included a highlight or sizzle reel, but for us, it seemed like much more than that. For one, it was much longer than anticipated, at around 13 minutes long, and it captured genuine moments, given that no one had any idea when he was actually capturing video versus capturing photos. It was abundantly clear that he spent a great deal of effort editing countless clips together, and was also accommodating to our replacement audio for our vows. Photos of family lineups were top notch, and he managed to get so many people in line with firm but kind mannerisms, as I'd imagine is required when trying to corral so many people together (especially in the cold). Our "first look" photos came out well thanks to his direction, and light capture for sunset pictures was additionally superb. We highly recommend Jay's services to someone not trying to break the bank, but want incredible photos (and a video component!) to endure the test of time.
Jay is Awesome. Seriously, just go book him now. I promise you’ll be happy you did. He’s very professional and super easy to work with and his photography is outstanding. We can’t ...
say enough positive things about him and we highly recommend Jay.
Jay is an incredibly gifted photographer. I first met him when he photographed my sister's wedding 4 years ago, and knew that I would want him to one day photograph my own wedding...
. On a day when you want to capture every single moment, it's SO important to have a photographer with energy and an eye for detail. Jay was EVERYWHERE on our wedding day. The photos of our ceremony were from every angle, and he did it all inconspicuously. He even popped up all over the dance floor to take pictures without disturbing the dancing. Jay made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. Between our engagement photos and our wedding photos, we have so many gorgeous shots to choose from. Our home will have lasting memories on the walls thanks to his beautiful work. Jay is the total package in a photographer. He studies the area, knows when the sun will set, and has an artistic eye... all little details that prove he deeply cares about his clients. His talent shows in every beautifully captured shot. Not only is his work flawless, but he is very reasonably priced for all that he offers. We could not recommend him more!
Jay was fantastic from start to finish. From the time we first spoke with him we knew he was the perfect person for us. My fiancé is a little shy about getting his picture taken, b...
ut Jay made us both feel at ease during our wedding day. And his photos were AMAZING! We love every single one of them. It was the best decision we ever made. Just book him, you’ll be happy you did.
Jay is fantastic and easy to work with. His photographs are amazing. He did both our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and videography. He has the experience and e...
xpertise to capture the moments without making your feel posed. Will go above and beyond to make sure that all of the photos you want are captured. He makes sure that you are having fun while capturing the perfect shot. Would highly recommend Jay for all of our photography needs.
Jay was fantastic to work with! He has a great eye for framing beautiful pictures, which is obvious if you check out his landscape photography. The very first time we met he broke ...
down a rough timeline of our day - something I hadn't even thought about yet - and I knew then that he was the right person for us. He lived up to expectations, arriving right on time and helping to keep us on schedule. We did not have a first look which mean we had to cram a lot of portraits into cocktail hour - family, bridal party, and couple shots. I very much appreciated Jay's direction during this time. He kept everyone moving and we made it through a long photo list in time to catch an incredible sunset. He knew exactly how to direct the large bridal party to get good shots. Throughout the evening, whenever something was happening he was right there photographing it. We did opt in for a second photographer to get more candid shots and photos of family, and Valerie also did an excellent job! We got SO MANY photos back, and very quickly! It's been fun sharing the gallery with family, and they have all been wowed by both quality and quantity of photos. I would definitely recommend working with Jay!
My fiance and I had Jay photograph our wedding in October and he was awesome! He was very professional, prompt, courteous, and friendly. From our initial emails, to the day of the ...
wedding, we felt like we were his only client. We had him do our engagement shoot as well, and both experiences went off great. He always showed up on time, and was even willing to stay a bit later than scheduled in order to get all of the shots we wanted. He has a variety of packages to choose from, and we thought his pricing was very fair. Do not hesitate to use Jay for your event!
Jay was wonderful to work with! He was organized, professional, and made picture-taking a fun experience. Our wedding photos turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend!
Jay did phenomenal work for us at our wedding! He was able to quickly identify the best backdrops and lighting for our photos. He had a great eye for staging and where we should be...
positioned. His direction during during the shooting was clear and made us feel at ease. He was enthusiastic and and very encouraging about how we were posing, which gave us confidence and removed our nervousness. He worked quickly and efficiently in herding relatives and friends for pictures. He did not miss a beat! At the end of the evening, we told him he could leave because things were winding down, but he stayed to experiment with sparklers, and those photos turned out wonderfully. Because of Jay's professionalism, experience, and poise, it gave us great confidence throughout the wedding that he would capture the key moments and help us look our best. He did not disappoint! We could not be happier with Jay Moore Photography and recommend Jay highly! He was truly a blessing to our wedding!
From the onset, Jay was extremely thorough, patient, efficient. He made us feel extremely comfortable and was very reasonable in his pricing. He does not try to overcharge or nicke...
l and dime you. He produces high-quality images with a creative spirit in mind and certainly accommodates your wishes (We wanted a sparkler picture, and certain poses and he accommodated it all!). I also loved that he helped guide you by giving you a timeline and working with you on it. He was super flexible but also ran the show the day of the wedding and made sure everyone stayed on time without being too overbearing. ALL of my friends and family loved working with Jay and he produced our photos within 14 days of our wedding. He was an absolutely pleasure to work with and hands down I would hire him again for any future event.
We used Jay for our wedding and engagement session and we are very happy with the results. Jay was flexible and attentive to the types of pictures we requested.

Would highly recommend Jay to anyone! We love our photos and are looking forward to having them as a memory of our special day for years to come!
You won’t regret working with Jay. He is so easy to work with and the photos are more than we could have imaged! If you work with Jay, your photos will be absolutely stunning. He ...
was great working with our pets for our engagement session (yup, our two precious pups were in our fantastic pictures to make them complete)! On the big day, even our families raved about how great he was to work with. Literally can’t say enough great things about him!

ys and month before the wedding, he was attentive and answered all the questions that I had. I highly recommend Jay! You won’t regret it!
Jay is an amazing photographer and I am so happy that we hired him to photograph our wedding. He did a great job capturing the whole day, is very professional, easy to communicate...
with, and all for a great price. I felt that he did the job of two photographers and there was never a time that I felt that he wasn't there for a great shot. I got my photos back so much faster than I would have expected and love them. My friends/family who have viewed the photos have also complemented the photographers work. I would highly recommend hiring him for a wedding (or any need for a photographer)
Super attentive, professional, and friendly! Got a sneak peak photo the next day! Quality of work is great and prices are perfect!
I cannot recommend Jay enough! I found out about him from a friend who was the MOH at another wedding he photographed. I knew once I saw the pictures from that wedding that he was ...
exactly what my husband and I were looking for. His photographs are of an exceedingly high quality, but he remains affordable for a couple with a smaller than DC-area average budget.
Before the wedding, my husband and I expressed concerns about our families not being very photogenic and most likely needing A LOT of direction. The day of, he arrived early...even before I got to the venue! He was prepared and very flexible. He did a fantastic job of giving everyone the necessary amount of direction, capturing truly gorgeous shots of everyone. He went above and beyond to get the [Pinterest] shots my husband and I had on our wishlist, while still injecting his own creativity.
After the wedding, the turn-around for getting to preview our pictures was exceptionally fast. My husband's hair was a little messed up in some of the formal shots, the perfectionist in me couldn't ignore it. Jay was so very generous, taking the time to Photoshop those issues. The final product was a beautiful mix of journalistic and formal photography that everyone just can not stop raving about!
Many of our other vendors were less than stellar. Jay was the one that my husband, our families, and I have zero complaints about. Thank you, Jay, for exceeding our expectations and making sure that our wedding memories are preserved in the most beautiful way!
Jay was amazing. Total professional, knows how to manage his time, and takes incredible photos. He knows how to work with large groups of people, including children.
Jay was absolutely incredible. He delivers quality photos and is very organized. In my opinion, he was more affordable than many other photographers I looked at, but his work is of...
the highest quality. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable on our wedding day- he was high energy, a lot of fun- but also organized and made the most use of time. Our families and bridal party kept commenting on how great Jay was. We did decide to add a 2nd photographer, merely because we had a larger wedding, but Jay can really do it himself as well. I couldn't have been more impressed and happy with Jay, and I will continue to recommend him.

ng. Great price and a great person to work with. Very happy that we chose him to do our wedding!
First and foremost, Jay is an amazing photographer. He knows how to make you feel comfortable even when you've never done this before. He shot our engagement photos and wedding day...
photos, and I am positive that they could not have been any better. Jay knew exactly where to put us and how to talk to us to get the exact shot we were looking for, and we didn't even have to ask. He was extremely communicative and very prompt with emails he made us feel like we were very important.
For our engagement shoot we had our dog in it for half of it and in the end I think my dog is ready for a show. Jay knew exactly how to work with him and we now have our "family" photo for our Christmas card. Jay also came with us to our wedding venue a month before the big day to make sure he knew exactly where to put us and asked very detailed and important questions. He truly put in time and effort to make sure our day would be perfect.
Now seeing the shots that came from that day I don't think I have ever felt more beautiful. Not only did the posed shots (which were beyond amazing) come out fantastic, but he found the exact times to catch the candids with my husband and I, and all of our family and friends. I recommend Jay for all of your wedding-related photo shoots. He is a true professional with a lot of talent.
My husband and I used Jay for our engagement and wedding pictures and absolutely loved him and his work! All of our pictures were absolutely stunning and he was able to capture eve...
ry moment of our wedding day. He made time to talk to us before hand to make sure he knew all the pictures we wanted and made sure he got them all. We just got married about a month ago, and already have our pictures back! One of the other great things about Jay is his price - in our search of nearly every photographer on the knot, his price was very reasonable and one of the cheaper options, BUT his product was definitely not cheaper. Our pictures turned out amazing and I definitely think we got a great value with Jay!
We used Jay Moore for our wedding in the beginning of May 2014. Jay was great to work with. He met with us when we were still researching vendors. He was very organized and has a l...
ot of experience. On the wedding day, he knew exactly what pictures to capture. During the reception, Jay did not miss a beat, he was capturing candid moments the whole night. The picture turned out great!
Jay was excellent. Easy to work with, worked his butt off the day of the wedding and the photos came out great!
I used Jay Moore Photography for my recent October wedding and loved him. We began working with Jay a year prior to the wedding when he did our engagement photo shoot. He gave us...
a lot of direction (and we needed it!) and we got some fantastic pictures.
After interviewing several other photographers, I knew Jay was ‘the one’ when we met with him and he had an organized agenda for the meeting. Every other photographer kind of let us lead the meeting and we did not know what we were doing but Jay was incredibly prepared and organized. That was exactly what I needed for my wedding day.
Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with! On the big day, he was on time (even early to avoid marathon traffic) and dressed professionally. He gives clear directions and keeps everyone on schedule. I truly do not remember seeing him most of the night because he did his work discreetly and got great shots. When we got our pictures afterwards, they were beautiful. He captured everything we wanted and the candid photographs were just perfect. We were very pleased with Jay’s work and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer!

as limited. Jay worked around my schedule and was always available to discuss planning on the phone, by email and in person. This was a second wedding for me and my fiancé. We were both widowed several years ago. We chose to have a traditional formal wedding, but we are not the typical 20-30 something couple and our "must have" pictures consisted of our grown children and their children, rather than the parents of the bride/groom, etc. On the day of the wedding, Jay arrived early and was ready to shoot as soon as I was and didn't stop working all day! I was impressed with how quickly, efficiently and painlessly Jay got all of the pictures of everyone we specified that we wanted. We never really knew Jay was there, but he WAS everywhere and captured everything!! Jay was so easy to work with. The day after the wedding, he sent us a "sneak peak" of our photos by email!! What a surprise and a bonus!! He's a consummate professional and I would very highly recommend Jay!! Thanks Jay!!!!!

ginal. He specializes in photo journalistic pictures, which is what we were most interested in instead of tons of posed shots. We got tons of compliments on our engagement pictures, and I am confident we will be happy with our wedding shots when we see them. We wanted to incorporate our golden retriever in a few of our wedding and engagement shots and Jay was very patient and open minded about it. We also had several children in our bridal party and he was patient when working with them too. We probably interviewed more photographers than any other vendor, and chose Jay based on his value, as well as his style. I am very pleased with our choice!

h us before the wedding day to prepare for where to take the first look, bridal party and family photographs. He made our pictures and bridal party and family pictures fun and easy. Extremely complimentary during the whole process. Then once the ceremony and reception were underway he got photos of all the action without being in the way or annoying to get staged photos. He turned the pictures around extremely fast and got us the website and CD faster than I would have expected. Great job overall and would definitely recommend to all my friends.
I remember the night we met with Jay. We had already met with 5 other photographers. Jay knew exactly what we wanted. He was able to describe and show us through his other work tha...
t he understood exactly what we were looking for. His package included an engagement shoot which was fun and the pictures beautiful. The day of our wedding Jay was always there but NEVER in the way. In fact I did not even realize he had borrowed my shoes and flowers until I saw the most beautiful pictures!! He captured every moment of our day. He captures all the big moments, but more important, he captured the little ones too. I cannot say enough about his skill, professionalism, quality or dedication. Jay is simply THE BEST
Jay was organized, helpful, and flexible. At our first appointment, he asked some questions about our plans so far and picked up on the vibe of our wedding very quickly. He gives y...
ou options and suggestions but he is open to anything you want to do. We told him our basic plan, which included getting-ready, ceremony, formal, and reception photos. At our next appointment, he helped me make a detailed time frame of exactly how it would flow. He responded very quickly to all of my emails and fully answered all questions. On wedding day, he was on time and knew exactly what he was doing. He told us how to pose, where to go, etc. and when we asked for specific pictures, he gladly did those also. I never saw him take a break during the reception - it seemed like he was everywhere all the time! He definitely knows what he is doing and I will use him in future!
We got married on May 19, 2012 and if we could sum up our experience with Jay Moore it would be this: "Wow!" We are so excited about the quality and content of our pictures- this i...
s coming from a bride who hates having per picture taken and a groom with an eye for photography. ;-) Everyone who has seen our pictures to date have responded with a "wow" of their own.
We wanted Jay to focus on the candid shots and that's exactly what he did- we didn't even know he was there! He captured moments and expressions that only a good photographer could in addition to some beautiful pictures of the reception decor itself- reminders of the fine details that my husband and I couldn't remember considering that we were so wrapped up in each other on that day. :-)
It would have been nice to have album options bundled within the overall base price versus a la cart pricing for albums but this wouldn't deter us from hiring Jay again in the slightest. We couldn't be any happier with our pictures and having three sets of them is perfect! He was quick and efficient in getting us access to our photo gallery in addition to receiving our copies in the mail... seeing sneak peeks on his website were of great fun as well.
You're looking at two very, very satisfied customers. We would recommend Jay to anyone!

He was also amazing when I started to get stressed about time and getting the correct people into the correct pictures!!! He was great of sticking to what I wanted and also making sure that he got the shots!!! Has been VERY prompt with getting the pictures for us to preview and for putting together our albums. Will DEFINITELY use Jay for all of our other events!!!
I honestly cannot say enough great things about Jay! From the first time we met with Jay, we knew he would take amazing photographs of our special day. Throughout the planning proc...
ess, Jay was extremely professional and highly responsive. Additionally, he arrived to the venue on time and prepared. He had a list of 'must have' photographs that we were able to compile and give to him. Jay also browsed our venue and found great locations for the pictures. He made the picture taking process smooth and fun. Jay also made sure to pull us away for the sunset pictures we wanted to take. After the wedding, Jay was very responsive and professional again when our wedding pictures were posted, and also prompt in designing our wedding album! Jay mailed our master discs with the slideshow and pictures to us along with a personalized note thanking us! Overall, Jay is highly recommended and we will be sure to use him for our future occasions!

On the day of the wedding, Jay was amazingly professional and patient with our enormous and hard-to-organize family. His photography was the perfect combination of the formal wedding standards and candid, unique shots. He has a fantastic eye for those one-of-a-kind shots.
I would hire Jay again in a heartbeat and I can't recommend him highly enough. A true professional in every aspect.
Jay provided the photography for our wedding in November 2010. After spending hours looking at the portfolios of different photographers, we decided to meet with Jay and discuss ou...
r needs and wants for our upcoming wedding. Instantly after meeting Jay, we knew without a doubt that we wanted him as our wedding photographer. Jay is professional, reliable, energetic, and enjoyable to work with. Jay captured the emotion of our wedding day with his photos and we couldn't have been more pleased.
