Rick was amazing to work with and we could not have picked a better person! Rick came out the day before the wedding to go over the basics and to make sure everything went smoothly...
on our wedding day (it did!) He paid attention to our detailed playlists, offered us food and drinks throughout the night, and made sure our guests were on their feet. We hope to work with him again soon whenever we need a DJ because he made the night so much better :)
Hired them to do my wedding in 2018. The DJ they hired Chris played the wrong song for the father daughter dance.
During the middle of the toasts, my sister goes to check that th...
e father daughter dance is coming on next and at that time the DJ says he can't play that song because he doesn't have it. He never told me, I only found out because my sister went up and asked. Then my sister asks him to delay the song and says she will download it for him (the DJ) who seems completely confused. She asks him what it was supposed to be and he tells her a song - not the one I had emailed to him and also discussed with him in person. So that wrong song is downloaded and played because he told her that's what it was supposed to be. We went up and looked at his area and he just had a bunch of notes scribbled around and one of them had that, completely disorganized. Then he told me he couldn't get the right one loaded. My sisters ended getting it up on YouTube and it was played later for us to dance to.
Didn't edit the processional as we requested, started the processional before I was even there...Blocked our shuttle with his car in a space clearly marked, was in the background during photos with his equipment even after being asked to move...Guests didn't find his jokes funny, played songs I didn't want like "Natural Woman"...not really the vibe I was going for...
There is a long list of more. Ended up getting into an argument with him and he was a jerk to me and my entire family about all the mixups, and he was kicked out. We played the rest of the night with our own equipment.
Solid Gold offered me something like $200 off with condition that I not post a negative review (which I did not take and paid in full), and also threatened legal action. I didn't post review until recently watching my wedding video again, I wish I had the father daughter dance I had asked for. Fortunately hiring this DJ was the only regret of our wedding. I
Dan was our wedding DJ, as set up by our venue. I was a little nervous not being able to choose our DJ, but Dan did a great job! He took our vision for the night and ran with it, a...
nd helped us make the adjustments we needed to our plan to ensure the night ran smoothly. He was flexible when we impulsively decided to skip the cake cutting, and did a great job helping us flow through the different elements of our night - even a few added events that we requested he throw in for us. When it came time to make it on the dance floor - it was packed the whole time! We were able to put in a list of songs we wanted to have played, and he did a great job of mixing those in with some other song that were also big hits. When he invited everyone up for the final song, everyone actually came up - that's the sign of a good DJ for you. :) We definitely recommend you work with him.
Dan was our wedding DJ. Dan was so easy to work with. He clearly paid close attention to the questionnaires we completed and really took our requests to heart. His client portal w...
ebsite is awesome because it allows you to select songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, the reception, special songs, and even do-not-play songs, which was awesome. We had issues with our microphone at one point during the reception, and before I knew it, Dan was right there to fix it. He played a mix of our requests and also songs that he knew from experience would be a hit. I didn’t specifically request any slow songs because I love to dance, but when Dan played a few of them, I noticed a lot of our guests appreciated the slow songs. It resulted in a good balance for our guests - nearly everyone found themselves dancing at some point, which was the goal! Great job Dan thank you!
My husband and I love music and the fact that we could choose all the music on the handy website was amazing! We did have live musicians for parts of the evening Dan worked so sea...
mlessly with transitioning between the two it was great! We would highly recommend Solid Gold Productions!
Their website is totally awesome. I liked that I could choose the songs/music I wanted played to dance to and they played all of it! I also liked that I could adjust the "time li...
ne" right online. GREAT website!
Kendall and her associate (sorry I can't recall her name) were personable and accommodating when we decided to push up the time line. It was a lot of fun!
Dan was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was fun, flexible, and affordable. He listened to all of our requests and had such a great energy throughout the whole reception.
My husband and I didn't really have a definitive idea of what we wanted out of a DJ so much as we had an idea of what we didn't want, which was someone who would ignore "do not pla...
y" lists, encourage games/traditions such as a garter toss, etc. We have been to such events and wanted something a little less ostentatious. We went with Dan Wolfson with Solid Gold Productions, and it was absolutely, hands down, perfect. From the website, with the ability to request music and list what we did and did not want to include as well as the names of all our party members, to the week of, when Dan worked with us to schedule a time during what I believe was his vacation to run over everything with us, working with Solid Gold was perfect.
He talked with us during the event, kept it simple while also knowing just what to play - when to get rowdy, when to get slow...the dancefloor was packed literally all night! I think people wanted more, even!
We couldn't have asked for more, and we are so thankful for your help in making our big day so perfect!
Hiring Solid Gold Productions for my wedding was the best decision. Everyone had so much thank you.
Dan was very professional and nice. He knew what to do to keep the party going. His price was great, too.
If you are confused about what sort of music you want at your wedding, you should check out Solid Gold Productions - they are GREAT! I was confused and didn't know what I wanted to...
have at my wedding. One of the best decisions we made was to go with a DJ - and Austin from Solid Gold is the BEST! You can access your music playlist and event details on their online planner and it makes coordinating with the DJ super easy! Our wedding went exactly as planned... we had great music, great light show, and a great time!
Dan at Solid Gold Productions was great to work with. My (now) husband and I live in CA but both grew up in NH and wanted to hold our wedding 'back home'. The website was what so...
ld us origionally... we could pretty much create our entire wedding music playlist and details on the web. We could also lend our friends and family the password (if you desire) to be sure to incorporate a good mix of music.
Over all I was very impressed. Our wedding was certainly running behind schedule and Dan was very flexible and always had great suggestions to offer -both prior to the big day as well as during the event. Also, because our wedding ran behind- we needed him to stay longer, which he was more than happy to do.
I do agree that he may not always be as up beat as some may like in a DJ, but he was certainly professional and dependable.
Dan was spot-on with our music. Solid Gold Productions website was very useful and helped us better choose the music for our wedding. You can view their entire library online, or r...
equest a specific song if it's not in their list. They will go above and beyond to make sure they have every song you request. Awesome job!
Solid Gold has an excellent website set up for clients where you can search for songs and make your own playlist for the wedding. This worked out great for dinner because we could...
play our favorite songs. Timing and ability of the DJ to read the crowd during the reception seemed off at times, and announcing the wedding party he wasn't the typical enthusiastic wedding DJ (which some may like). He was very reliable however, and pleasant to work with.
