About this vendor
In SODA you’ll find exactly what you need to get the party started. Formed in 2008, this all-star lineup has quickly become one of Chicago’s most booked and beloved bands. If you like variety in your musical experience, you’ll find that Soda captures the heart and soul of one of the most diverse play lists you’ll find anywhere.
What’s your flavor? Because you’ll get everything all the time with Soda. From Sinatra to Bruno Mars, and from Patsy Cline to Dua Lipa, this band can do it all. Multiple lead singers, each with distinctive styles, work to bring authenticity to all your favorite songs. The possibilities are endless. Classic Rock, Country, Motown, Disco, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Alternative–the list goes on and on.
When you gotta dance Soda has the tunes to get your family and friends on the dance floor and keep them there the whole night long. There is nothing quite like the energy of a real band, and it's like a gift you give your guests that let them know how much they mean to you as they help celebrate your special day. Your reception will be memorable and they'll be talking about THAT BAND you choose for years to come!
Bandleader Rob Loar has assembled an all star team of great Chicago musicians, and will personally assist in helping you plan your reception. From music choices, to the timeline he can offer plenty of advice based on years of experience. And his day of coordination with the venue, and being there to provide all emcee duties are worth so much for that added little bit of peace of mind.

tart, Rob and his team were so easy and professional to work with. They had advice about timelines, led me through the details I needed, and were unbelievably organized and thorough. For someone planning their own wedding and reception without a coordinator, this was incredibly helpful. Because of their help, our reception ran so so smoothly. That’s not to mention their incredible lineup of music and the talent they bring to the table. Our reception would not have been the same without them and we are so incredibly grateful for the work they put in to make our day stand out and be something we will truly remember the rest of our lives.

rtists. When we looked at their extensive playlist, all of our favorite songs from the 80s until the present were on it. We are so happy we switched from a DJ to the band Soda, as it elevated our reception to a whole new level! They even provided live piano set for our cocktail hour. Rob did a great job as the emcee, especially in coordinating our photos with the guest tables and throughout the night. They kept the dance floor full the entire night with guests requested on encore at the end of the night! My husband and I enjoyed working with Rob to coordinate our wedding reception because he was very personable and accommodating. He was a joy to work with. The members of Soda are very entertaining and professional; we recommend hiring them for a wedding, special occasion, or any event.
