⭐ 1/5 - All Wheels, No Direction
Unfortunately, the wedding planner was easily the most disappointing part of an otherwise beautiful wedding.
For context, I was simply a guest an...
d didn’t have to deal with her directly, which honestly made me feel even worse for the couple. If these issues were this apparent to a guest, I can only imagine their frustration.
After breaking her ankle, she understandably needed a knee scooter. Injuries happen, and that genuinely sucks. Nobody expected her to be running around the venue, but she appeared to take on as little as possible while leaving nearly all the coordination to others. She certainly put the “roll” in bankroll, but an injury doesn’t excuse failing to fulfill contractual responsibilities. She also informed the venue of her injury well before the couple, communication was reportedly poor, and she arrived 30 minutes late to rehearsal.
Despite being hired to coordinate the wedding, the venue handled virtually everything. Her website advertises a wedding team, which sounds reassuring until you discover that the “team” apparently consists of her husband, 14-year-old son, and seven-year-old daughter. The daughter was even brought to cleanup despite the couple explicitly requesting a child-free wedding.
She also failed to properly coordinate the trolley, leaving half the wedding party stranded in the rain for an hour at midnight. Her wedding-day attire? Sweatpants. Understandable given her injury, but hardly reassuring alongside everything else.
The issue was never her mobility; it was the lack of communication, preparation, and follow-through.
The venue deserves tremendous credit for making the wedding a success. Unfortunately, the planner proved that having wheels doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going anywhere.
Would absolutely recommend the venue. Cannot say the same for the planner.
