Where do I even begin with Dani and Simply Southern Events?! There truly are not enough words to describe how incredible Dani is or what she meant to us throughout this entire expe...

rience. Our wedding day was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of, and SO much of that was because of her. Dani wasn’t just our wedding planner — somewhere along the way, she became a built-in best friend. You could genuinely feel her love and care in every single second of our day. She cared about our wedding like it was her own, and that is something I will never forget. Dani’s attention to detail is absolutely UNMATCHED. Details were everything to me, and somehow she took every little vision I had and made it even better than I imagined. She is immaculate in her planning, brought us the absolute best of the best vendors, anticipated things before I could even think of them, and handled absolutely everything like a BOSS. There was never a moment on my wedding day where I felt like I needed to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. I could actually be present and soak it all in because I knew Dani had us. And somehow, what stands out to me just as much as her talent is how much heart she puts into what she does. One of my favorite memories of our entire wedding day was walking back up the aisle after getting married and seeing Dani waiting for us with two glasses of champagne. 🥹 It sounds like such a small detail, but it perfectly sums her up. In the middle of coordinating a million things and making sure our entire day was running flawlessly, she was still thinking about us and making sure even that moment felt special. Our wedding was seamless, beautiful, emotional, FUN, and more perfect than I knew a wedding could be. Every detail felt like us. I wish I could relive that day a thousand times, and I would choose Dani and Simply Southern Events every single one of those times. If you’re considering Simply Southern Events, stop considering and BOOK THEM. You aren’t just getting an insanely talented planner. You’re getting someone who will advocate for you, celebrate you, calm you down, obsess over the details with you, handle anything thrown her way, and love your wedding right alongside you. Dani, you gave us the wedding of our absolute dreams. I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do without our constant planning conversations, but the best part is that I feel like I walked away from this experience with more than the most incredible wedding — I walked away with a forever friend. We love you endlessly, Dani. Thank you for giving us a day that somehow exceeded every single dream we had for it. 🤍

Dani was genuinely one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. From the beginning, she was calm, thoughtful, and just really on top of everything. By the time our we...

dding weekend came around, I trusted her completely. A week before our wedding, the forecast totally flipped. After 10 years of no rain on that date, it suddenly looked like it was going to pour right during our outdoor ceremony. And it did lol. Dani immediately figured it out. She somehow secured an additional 40x80 tent at the last minute and handled the entire pivot without making us feel stressed about it. One of my favorite things about working with her was how dialed in she was without ever making the process feel over-managed. She built us a planning portal that kept everything in one place, which helped me so much because there are a million little details to keep track of. And on the wedding day, she was literally everywhere. Multiple guests asked me if she had a team because it seemed like she was in seven places at once. She is seriously so impressive. She’s also just really thoughtful. During cocktail hour, she pulled my husband and me into the reception space before everyone else came in so we could see it alone for the first time. I never asked her to do that. She just knew how excited I was to see everything and made sure we got that moment together. It ended up being one of my favorite memories from the entire day. She also has an amazing vendor network. Florists, rentals, linens, all of it. She really understood our vibe and connected us with people who fit it. There were honestly several times where I just told her to make the aesthetic call because I trusted her eye more than mine. Every single time, she nailed it. But probably my favorite thing about Dani was how much she genuinely cared that we were having fun. Throughout the night, I’d catch her eye from the dance floor and she’d be laughing and pointing at me, and I’d do the same back lol. She just seemed so happy seeing us have the best time. I think that says a lot about the kind of person she is. Dani is very respected in the SC wedding community, and after working with her I completely understand why. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

My biggest piece of advice for wedding planning is simple: hire Dani immediately. She is truly top-tier and in a league of her own. As a Type A, detail-oriented, New Yorker, I don’...

t say this lightly— I met my match with Dani, I genuinely couldn’t have planned or executed our wedding without her. She is creative, proactive, dynamic, and a true jack-of-all-trades. Without a doubt, she was the best part of our entire wedding planning process. Dani is always one step ahead, handling everything seamlessly and flawlessly. From vendor contracts and logistics to day-of setup, crisis management, family/guest coordination, photos, and every unexpected task in between—she manages it all with ease and keeps you completely at peace. She’s an incredible person who becomes a best friend throughout the process. When our wedding was over, I was most sad that I wouldn't be talking to Dani everyday (although we still do). I can’t say enough wonderful things about her—I'd honestly hire her for any job in any field of work, (wish she would work on my team in finance). Dani is one of one, trust me, you need Dani.

working with her, we knew we were in great hands — but our wedding day truly confirmed it. It was perfectly magical and completely stress-free, and that’s in large part thanks to Dani. Dani was organized, flexible, and so knowledgeable about everything that goes into planning your dream day. She guided us every step of the way and gave us amazing vendor recommendations that fit us perfectly and helped bring our vision to life. Every detail on the day itself was flawlessly handled — from filling our champagne glasses at home, to bustling my dress, to making sure our dinner was still warm after sunset photos . She was always one step ahead and somehow managed to anticipate every need before we even realized it. When we received our photos, we were able to truly soak in all of the details and decisions that Dani helped make happen. Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about how incredible she was, and we couldn’t agree more. Dani, thank you for making our day everything we dreamed of and more. You are truly a wedding day miracle worker, and trusting you was hands down the best decision we made! We would highly highly recommend Dani!

fe without Dani’s expertise - whether they be vendor recommendations or any general planning tips. Any time I had a question she was very prompt to respond to my email or text; always providing a solution or willing to reach out to a vendor on my behalf. On the day of, Dani kept us on timeline (because I’m that type A that I had it memorized), and overall executed every detail seamlessly. 7 months later and I have friends and family still acknowledging the influence she had on our day.

Wrangling in all of our wedding party for entrances for the ceremony and reception was a task in it self. Dani went above and beyond making sure we didn’t worry or have to do a single thing on our wedding day, even down to make sure we were well hydrated day of. 😉She is friendly, personable, and has a keen eye for detail. elpful and I never felt nervous to reach out to her with even the smallest questions. She is super organized and friendly and all of my bridal party commented on how amazing she was. I truly could not have done it without her - she felt like an extension of me on my wedding day. The day ran so smoothly - I also had other vendors comment on how they have never had a wedding go so to schedule and that can 100% be attributed to Danielle. Thank you does not even begin to cut it - if you are planning a wedding in the Bluffton area, you have to hire Danielle. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

Danielle is nothing short of AMAZING!! I apologize in advance for this lengthy review however it all must be said and heard. Her passion for planning memorable life time moments,...

professionalism, creativity, attention to detail, and overall partnership with myself (Mother of the Bride) and especially the Bride is nothing shy of remarkable! We hired Danielle as a day of coordinator and she was there to guide us throughout the planning process and answer any questions we might have. As Mother of the bride, you spend your entire life dreaming of giving your daughter that one special day she and her fiancé will always remember. You might as well know now, I am not one to easily give up control of anything, however as soon as I met Danielle there was no doubt in my mind that she was the perfect fit and would do everything in her power to ensure our daughter’s wedding day would be perfect and allow me to focus on what was most important, living in the moment and being Mother of the Bride. Although the wedding day did not go according to plan, no one expected the bride to test positive for COVID two days prior to the wedding, Danielle immediately went into action notifying all vendors and working with them to identify a backup date that worked for everyone. Thankfully even with all of the unexpected challenges thrown our way and 100 guests in town, our daughter and her fiancé did have the most beautiful impromptu wedding ceremony on their original date of March 20, 2021 in Charleston, SC, even if it wasn’t as planned. Danielle went above and beyond to be a shoulder to lean on and the voice of reason to help us through those difficult days. When it came time for Part two three months later, the reception at Old Wide Awake Plantation, she ensured it was executed flawlessly just as originally planned. She was bound and determined to deliver that very special day the Bride and Mother of the Bride had always envisioned! A word of advice for anyone considering on hiring Simply Southern Events, stop thinking about it and JUST DO IT!!! You won’t regret it and will quickly discover as we did, Danielle will be the best investment you will make on your wedding day! Danielle, thank you for seeing it through and giving this mother one of the best days of my life that I will never forget and always cherish with my daughter! Our entire family is so lucky to now call you our friend!

I should preface my review by stating that I am NOT always an easy person to deal with- I am very much a planner and control queen in my daily life, and trusting someone else to be...

this person for my big day was a huge leap of faith. We knew Danielle from other weddings we had attended or been a part of but I wasn't sure if she could meet *my* organizational and planning expectations, as I was not a laid back bride with a "hands off" approach. I asked a million questions- sometimes the same question multiple times. Danielle answered me with honesty, grace, and professionalism every time. She listened and incorporated my ideas, vision, and style into my day, but was not afraid to let her experience and professional opinion supersede my own when it was for the better. My original wedding was postponed the week of the event. I would not have accepted this news well from anyone other than Danielle. She knew what I would need to hear, what information and options I would want, and had this all organized and ready to go before ever breaking the news to me. We were able to re-plan my entire event within 48 hours. Danielle is well respected in the industry and other vendors know and appreciate her planning style. She is able to command a room and large groups with confidence and everyone knows who is running the show! My wedding party and parents were appreciative of her no-nonsense directives during rehearsal and day of instructions to make everything quick and simple; while at the same time making sure every moment was fun and enjoyable. I did not feel we had a wedding planner that "just loves weddings"- we had a friend that truly cared about our experience with her from day one. She made sure we were having a great evening every moment of our event and I would go through all the stress and get married 100 more times (....to the same dude) if she could plan and coordinate every one. She was made for this!

r day of services, and I felt so at ease on wedding day knowing she was in charge. And she was great through the whole planning process as well, especially since we were from out of town. She always got back to us promptly. Any questions we had, she was there with an answer, and always telling us not to worry about a thing. She is professional, fun, enthusiastic, attentive, organized…..I could go on. She made me feel like she was one of my closest friends there for me on my special day. I couldn't have asked for better service! I wish everyone could be so pleasant to work with! I will miss her. Thank you, Dani!

understatement. She was very professional and quick with responding to whatever questions I might’ve had leading up to the wedding and also extremely organized with every little detail. She also was able to help bring all of my ideas to life, ultimately making our wedding the perfect day! Dani has a lot of experience and knows what timelines work best and the best vendors in the area, so we completely trusted her judgement and suggestions. On the day of she made everything run so smoothly, including keeping the groomsmen in line and keeping my nerves down - especially since we had an unannounced tropical storm come through and had to change all of our plans at the last minute. Not only is Dani the best in the business, she is also the sweetest, funniest, most wonderful human with the biggest personality, and I told her if I lived in the area I would make her be my best friend. :) Our wedding guests even can’t stop talking about her and how on top of everything she was! You will definitely be missing out if you pass up the opportunity to have Dani make your wedding day the best that it can be!

Danielle is the BEST in the business. We toured other venues and the minute I met her I knew I wanted her to be a part of my day. I read endless reviews about how other brides had ...

raved about her and they did not disappoint. She pulled all of my details together perfectly day of -- the tables came out even more beautiful than what I had dreamt up in my head! She manages large wedding parties like a pro, keeps the cray of 4 year old flower girl meltdowns at bay, and responds like lightening to every text, email and call. She has such a great eye for details and will make sure the day runs perfectly. Her vendor and food recommendations were A++ and everyone we worked with that she had recommended did a fantastic job. Also worth noting -- though my family lived locally, I've since moved across the country and she was so patient about sending pics to remind me of how things looked at the venue, where decor could go etc. She also made recommendations for things I would have never thought to consider, which is why you hire a pro to help with an event this size. Day of, she made sure my dress, veil everything was perfect the whole time. I can't imagine not having her there worrying about things FOR me so I could be present and enjoy every minute. :) Overall, I highly recommend her and wish I could work with her again! You will not regret working with her on such a special day!
