We were lucky enough to have good friends who gave us the recommendation to hire Simi. We loved that he offered engagement photos along with the wedding package and explained the side (perhaps main) benefit of doing them - that it's actually good for the couple and photographer to get to know each other before the big day, rather than spend it with a total stranger. He is very experienced and was able to ask us a lot of good questions to get a good sense of our vision for the day and our photos, without us having to specify every small thing. Simi has a great, dry sense of humor (my favorite!) and really put us at ease while we did all our photos before the wedding. All the way through the process, he was very communicative about timing for receiving our photos and sent us 'sneak peeks' of our engagement and wedding before the full packages were ready. The site he uses to host the pictures is also easy to use and requires a code for download, so we know not just anyone can get into the gallery. It was a real relief to have Simi as part of the vendor team during our wedding, and we were so happy with the pictures when they came back! Thank you.

I love shooting the big moments of the wedding day and the seemingly quieter ones – to me they are equally important and it is often when I look beyond the obvious that I am able to create the best pictures. I live in Somerville, Massachusetts with my wife, 2 kids, and super cute lab-mix, am an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), and have had my work featured in The Knot Boston and Gala Weddings. I am entering my 11th year in business and have covered 250+ weddings.

emails we’ve had with him regarding setup, style of photos, along with the initial video calls was helpful to make things more comfortable with him prior to investing any money. On the day of our wedding, Simi was punctual, professional and easy to work with. We hired an extra photographer of his, and she too was great to work with. He was also very flexible when it came to the photography and leaned into some of our ideas for photos on the fly. It was also helpful that he had a list of pictures we needed to get, as well. After our wedding, he quickly delivered the photo gallery. The images were beautifully balanced, not over-saturated, and included a mix of traditional shots along with some stunning candid moments. From our first meeting he was very easy-going and good at communicating with us. He put us at ease with funny stories when taking our engagement photos and helped us to try out different poses when we weren’t totally comfortable in front of the camera. As photographer, he maintained a perfect balance between listening to our vision, ideas, and desired locations or group shots, while also offering his expertise and ideas when needed. Before the wedding he helped us to think through the timeline to make sure we would be able to get the shots we wanted and during he carefully made sure that none of the group/family shots were missed! as a part of his wedding package. We're not always the most comfortable in front of the camera, but Simi made us both feel comfortable throughout. He spent a lot of time with us and the photos he took during that shoot were the best photos of us we'd ever seen... until we got the photos back from the wedding, that is. He was the only photographer for our wedding (no team), so we were honestly shocked by the number of different angles and moments he was able to capture. We were delighted to see so many beautiful moments we didn't get to experience firsthand as the couple -- seeing friends and family connecting, hugging, laughing and tearing up the dance floor. Multiple family members also said they were surprised by all the photos, because they barely noticed him taking them. We had an extremely tight timeframe for friends and family portraits, as well as our own portraits -- but Simi made it work and somehow everyone came out looking great. And the photos that Simi took of the two of us are the best photos of us that we've ever seen. Some of them are really art. We got our wedding photos back right as we were spending time with our families over Thanksgiving, so we spent the weekend reliving our wedding day with our parents. And when he says 'unobtrusive' at the wedding and reception, he means he is like a ninja-- I'm in some of these photos (and they look amazing) and even I'm asking myself, when did he take this photo?! I am still absolutely speechless at all of the photos and can't stop smiling when I look at them and remember all of the happy moments of the day.
