ime again as she helped me work through them and seamlessly create an incredible day. Not to mention, she made me the most gorgeous bouquet of my dreams!!! No matter what you're looking for on your wedding day, I can assure you Kimberley knows how to get it done and will do so with the utmost care and creativity. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

th many great vendors in the Austin area which helps when making decisions and communicating changes. I was able to be present and enjoy the day as she took care of the details! The wedding was absolutely amazing and Kimberley was a big part of why it was so amazing!

Kimberley was hands down, the most fantastic wedding planner we could have ever imagined trusting with our special day. We met with 3 wedding planners when deciding who to work wit...

h, and Kimberley stood out as being the absolute best from day 1. One of the other 2 planners didn't seem to have as much experience or design sense as Kimberley, or as many connections. When meeting with them, I felt like they'd do a decent job, but that my wedding would end up looking very cookie cutter and I worried I wouldn't be referred to other vendors (DJ, etc.) who were unique and best in class. The 3rd planner was straight up annoying and I couldn't imagine working with her long term! Kimberley was the best of ALL worlds--her background as an interior decorater and an innate sense of taste merged with her ability to truly understand who we were as a couple and our design preferences. Thanks to her, we ended up with design elements in our wedding that we'd never have even thought were possible, if not for Kimberley! Kimberley also recommended a fantastic (and affordable!) florist, caterer, and DJ, among other great vendors. She was also a dream to interact with and made everything lighthearted and fun. When I say my wedding day went off without a hitch, I MEAN it! Literally everything was perfect, and it was not because the "stars aligned"--it was because of the thorough planning and flawless execution by Kimberley and her team. We went through numerous challenges with our wedding--first of all, we had to postpone 1 year due to COVID. Second of all, our wedding was in Fredericksburg, so it was a challenge to find vendors (especially catering!) who would travel from Austin. Third of all, we had issues communicating with the venue after the yearlong hiatus in between our first and second wedding dates. I have no idea how we could have navigated those situations without Kimberley--she & her husband literally helped us get some of our rentals to and from Fredericksburg because we couldn't find a company that had the availability to do it! She also used her industry connections to get a vendor who was delivering games (like cornhole, etc.) to our wedding to deliver & pick up some of the rentals as well. She is a problem-solver extraordinaire. The day of the wedding she set everything up gorgeously. We had SO MANY candles and decorative items on our tables & all of that required an artistic eye to set up--it wasn't like each table looked the same or had the same stuff on it. Kimberley made each table a work of art. Our guests raved about the look of the wedding & most of them commented that they'd never been to a more beautiful or better run wedding. Seriously, the way Kimberley facilitated our wedding day was so smooth that even the guests noticed it! Still to this day people comment on the beauty and ease of our wedding. My friends were amazed that there was absolutely "no drama" and our wedding party was impressed the day of at how Kimberley remained firm and in control while also being super fun and personable. Kimberley is completely unflappable and brings a reassuring sense of calm and positivity no matter how much she has going on--she is a true professional. I honestly don't know why you'd want to look anywhere else for a wedding planner--Kimberley is THE girl if you want someone to plan the gorgeous and unique wedding of your dreams while also being fun while also carrying out all of your plans flawlessly! Go with Kimberley, you will NOT regret it!

Even though Kimberly had been highly recommended, all it took was our first meeting with her to know that she would be the one. She worked professionally and flawlessly with my son...

and daughter-in-law to bring their wedding day vision to life. Besides her organizational skills to keep everyone on track and her great relationships with vendors, Kim has a fabulous design eye, which was super important to us. But what really made her shine is her handling every detail on the wedding day, while making the bride, groom and their families feel so special, all with an amazing calmness that was contagious. She is an upbeat problem solver with the most beautiful smile. Honestly, we could not have had the same gorgeous wedding without her. Kimberly is pure 5 stars!!

Kimberly was simply awesome. Silver Thistle worked with my daughter and son in law on their wedding from start to finish. Kimberly was so creative and fun. Every vendor connect...

ed to her was wonderful as well. Her ideas are incredibly creative and unique. She has an eye for taking something lovely and giving it a little twist so it is personalized and special. She also had the amazing and magical ability to be everywhere, doing everything, yet was unobtrusive in organizing the festivities. Kimberly was fun to work with through every aspect of the weekend and she worked very hard to make certain the bride and groom had the beautiful wedding and outrageously fun party they wanted.

erfect mood with her personal touches. I trusted her from day one - Kimberley just knows how to make anything look and feel elegant! Working with Kimberley is so easy. She is patient, professional no matter the topic or stress level, and so caring. She becomes part of the family in every step of the planning process! Most importantly, she is the calmest human being in the world. She took care of everything for us and communicated directly to the vendors. She was an essential part of why our wedding day was so special. We love you Kim!!

We were introduced to Kimberley through our venue about four weeks before our wedding. We were a bit nervous to bring someone on so late in the planning process, but could not have...

been more pleased with the outcome. She was incredibly patient in helping us walk through all of the little details that pop up at the last minute and gave us peace of mind that we had someone on our side to help button up last-minute items with our vendors. We wish we had known about her sooner! The day of the wedding she was incredibly helpful, not only in her organization, but in her calming presence before, during, and after the ceremony. Thanks to her, everything was set up exactly as we imagined and photographs, toasts, and first dances went off without a hitch. We are so so grateful!

Choosing Kimberley to help us plan our wedding and coordinate day-of was probably the best decision I made during the whole process! Kimberley is so knowledgeable about vendors in ...

the area, made fantastic suggestions about decor and rentals, and most importantly made me feel super confident that the event would all go smoothly! She has such a calm and confident presence; I really felt at ease throughout the month of our wedding. Bonus perk: I loved her style and she helped make my vision into reality! Nothing but good things to say about Kimberley

Kimberley at Silver Thistle Events was amazing to work with. From our initial conversations, it was clear that she was going to work with us to make our vision for our wedding come...

true. Kimberley had a number of great relationships with vendors that we were able to tap into through her and she worked just as well with the vendors that we hired that she had not previously worked with. She tirelessly worked with us and our vendors and we had to move our initial wedding date and make adjustments as we changed our guest count. By the time the day of our wedding finally arrived, we know we could trust Kimberley to handle any and all of the challenges of the day. We can’t believe how much we were able to just enjoy our wedding without sweating the small stuff.

BEST DECISION EVER. Kim took my hodge podge wedding pinterest board (I had pictures from Lord of the Rings and some opium dens in there) and turned it into our dream wedding. She k...

new within one meeting the exact vendors that matched our tastes and personalities. She truly listens and engages when she speaks with you. She doesn’t try to force any of the conventional ideas of a wedding and is only interested in what fits who you are as a couple. If we aren’t sure of an idea, she has three more to replace it. I cried the day she sent over her vision board- it was such a relief to have chosen the right person to hand our big day over to. Planning our wedding suddenly became fun again instead of a giant weight. We were blown away by the tasting at the catering team she had chosen. I think my mouth literally fell open when we met the florist and saw what she had collaborated with them on for our table centerpieces. When we asked her to recommend a good band- we booked the one she suggested without even hearing them first. That is the level of trust she created. Seeing everything come together on our wedding day gave me such peace. There weren’t any details to worry about- she was on it. Instead, I got to concentrate on celebrating the lifelong commitment I was making with my best friend. Not everything went off without a hitch (to be expected when you enlist your family members instead of professionals to be the officiant, makeup artist, hair stylist, and emcee), but Kim quickly dealt with any hiccups efficiently and behind the scenes. Our reception was hands down the most beautifully decorated venue I have ever seen. This woman is gifted! All of our guests told us all night that it was so “us”. Every detail felt right and purposeful. Everyone raved about the food and one table actually asked for seconds-at a wedding! The florals were dark and moody and dripping from everything. The band had every single person on the dance floor. Once our night reached an end, we received a hundred photos Kim had secretly taken on her phone throughout the day-knowing our photographer wouldn’t be able to get us any for a while and we would want them. She is so in tune with what is important to couples. I can promise that you will not regret placing your trust in Silver Thistle. Our planning experience turned from a burden into a source of joy and excitement the moment Kim stepped in. You don’t have to do it all alone, and you don’t have to sacrifice your vision. Kim is like a combination of cool aunt and fairy god mother and she is there to make it all better.

Kimberley was the most critical part of our wedding day by a long shot. Throughout our time working with her, she offered ideas and suggestions, but always allowed us to make the f...

inal decision and helped us to stay true to our vision and our style. She will make so much effort to make sure she understands exactly what type of wedding you are looking for, no matter how non-traditional it might be, and defend your vision until the very last moment! We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid19 and Kimberley was with us every step of the way, taking the rein's and the stress off of us entirely. We couldn't have done it without her. The end result was better than I could have imagined - absolutely gorgeous, unique, and completely true to us. She's so talented and such a pleasure to work with, you will truly consider her to be a friend when it's all said and done! Thank you for everything Kimberley!

Kimberley, and Silver Thistle Designs, gave me and my now husband the most beautiful, true-to-our-style elopement I could have ever imagined. When I first started talking with Kimb...

erley, she asked me to send her a pinterest board of inspiration for my day, and she took it from there. When I tell you that she surpassed all of my expectations, I mean she surpassed ALL of my expectations- the bouquet, the cake, the set up- all of it was a combination of all of my favorite elements from my board, but somehow better. Not only that, but Kimberley was such an incredible comfort to have from the start- she touched base with us consistently from the second we reached out to her until the moment she handed us coffee on our return from our sunrise hike on the day of our elopement. Kimberley has such a calming presence, and was a constant source of reassurance that things were handled which took so much stress off of us so that we really could just sit back and enjoy our day. Pictures tell a thousand words, especially when it comes to design, but I’ll try my best to paint a picture of the day that Kimberley created for us. After our sunrise elopement, which Kimberley supplied the most STUNNING bouquet for, she met us at a beautiful secluded beach nestled between the mountains, where she had set up a picnic laid with geometric blankets and wicker baskets. We ate pastries and fruit and sipped our coffees, and it allowed us to have such a beautiful moment to soak in our day, and we are eternally grateful for those memories. Later that day, we headed out to the COOLEST luxury campsite that Kimberley helped us find, had dinner, and then walked back down to our tent where Kimberley had set up the most incredible cake stand and floral arrangement. We danced to Coldplay, we ate cake off of each other’s faces, and we read letters from our friends and family. We laughed, we cried, we tripped over my dress. At the end of it all, with Kimberley’s help, our day became so much more than what we had thought of as a typical elopement. Instead, it became a day filled with all of our favorite traditions, framed by beautiful details, that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

g at the decision to have a family-only ceremony this year and move the party to next year. None of this would’ve happened without Kimberley. She was not only instrumental in the day of our wedding, but in contacting all vendors and moving them to this year. So we got married at our original venue, but then did dinner at my mother’s home. My aunt was decorating the house and setting up, so we told Kimberley she didn’t have to come for the dinner. But, she did. She helped move everything smoothly and even stayed to help clean up. She is a true professional, and genuinely good person. I hired her for month of/day of, but she was always available in my planning process if I needed a vendor recommendation or just any question at all. I could not recommend Silverthistle more!

I can't say enough good things about Kimberley and her team. Kimberley was very calm and thorough, making sure we didn't miss anything in planning our 250-person wedding. We had ...

a lot of moving pieces and she kept everything running smoothly in both the months before and day of our wedding. The day of the wedding, she made sure everything ran seamlessly. My bridal party and family all commented on how amazing she was. Thank you, Kimberley! You made it such a beautiful day.

If it was possible to give 1 millions stars to Kimberley and her team, even that wouldn’t be enough!! I can’t begin to describe how magical my wedding season and wedding day was....

Kimberley is talented, dedicated, passionate, and absolutely wonderful in every way. She took my husband and I’s vision and brought it to life more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. Hiring Kimberley and her team will be the best decision you make!

avel a lot for our jobs so we definitely needed help! I interviewed (yes I am also a control freak) 3 wedding planners and when I met Kim I knew she was perfect. After explaining to her what my vision was for our big day and showing her my Pintrest board, she ran with it and surpassed every expectation I had. We hired Kimberly for full design and coordination, and it was the best decision we could have made. I let go of all control and trusted Kimberly and her team to take care of every detail. Kim has such great relationships with so many people in the industry, that she knew exactly who to call for floral, food, cake, rentals, transportation, etc. Want a mobile cigar lounge or a fireworks as you leave? Kim knows who to call. Regarding design, she was able to perfectly blend my modern romantic style and my now husband's rustic flair and created a magic day that was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Her attention to detail is incredible and every design decision was meticulously made to orchestrate a truly unforgettable event. Our guests still tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Our wedding is a testament to what can happen when you trust your planner and their team. You know it is amazing when wedding blogs and magazines want to feature it! Lastly I want to touch on Kim’s heart. She is one of the most incredible women I have ever met and after spending so much time with her over the past year, I am honored to call her my friend. She truly cared about me as a bride and as a person, and helped wash away every anxiety and insecurity I had. She was also able to de-stress my parents and my husband’s parents so they could enjoy the wedding weekend. If you want a memorable event that is also instagram worthy, hire Kimberly and Silver Thistle Events. I promise you it will be the best decision you ever made!

ing. We had a dream team of vendors, and Silver Thistle Weddings was our absolute favorite. When there were hiccups (and in light of the coronavirus panic, there were BIG hiccups), she helped ease our anxieties and ensure that we had the most beautiful and special day. She is extremely communicative and has a magic touch in ensuring that everyone is taken care of and that all of the details come together seamlessly. My husband and I cannot say enough good things. Neither can my mom. Thank you, Kimberley and Diane. You have a gift for all things wedding, and we are ridiculously grateful for you both. XOXOX

To say that Kimberley is truly incredible when it comes to planning and design does not encompass her gift. She has a way of making everything beautiful and more fantastic than you...

imagined and keeping the vibe low key at the same time. We had an engagement party, bridesmaids brunch, rehearsal dinner, chapel, and reception venue with entertainment and dinner for 200 guests all in her hands. As my husband said--Silver Thistle was the smartest investment me made with regard to the our daughters wedding. Our wedding was in December, a month full of holiday stress without a wedding going on much less with it falling right in the middle of the month. Kimberley took all of my stress away. She was always available and her assistants were wonderful. Here vendor recs were spot on every event we hosted felt flawless in her capable hands. She thought of and covered every detail. She heard what was important to us and kept it a priority. I give her the credit for making my daughters wedding day a breathtaking moment in time. I can't recommend her more highly. I will hire her again in a heartbeat. She is a precious gem.

ned a wedding. I knew I could handle all the logistical things myself, but definitely needed someone with a designer eye to make it look beautiful and that is EXACTLY what Kimberley did! Me being super type A, I knew many things that I wanted, but Kimberley was able to suggest things that I would have never thought of myself. She was also amazing day of. I did not have to worry about one thing. There was a small hiccup when the ceremony was set up wrong by the venue, but Kimberley went out and fixed it herself! Her designer eye made my wedding more than I ever expected it would be. It was so beyond beautiful and I could not have done it without her!

She truly puts the time and effort into her couple's vision, helping it come to life in a way that reflects their personalities! I wish I had known about her for my own wedding! She truly cares about others and has vendor relationships that reflect this aspect! When it comes to Austin wedding planners and recommendations for brides, Silverthistle is always at the top of my list! You won't regret hiring Kimberley and her team!

Kimberley is the best! She has great vision, meaningful relationships with excellent vendors, and is a pro day of. We just got married on October 25, and during our "mini-moon" ...

we remarked on how strange and sad it will be that we will not be interfacing with her on a daily basis. When we started wedding planning, we had no idea what we were doing. best of the best. We met with all of them several times before the wedding to talk details and share ideas. Our day brought some unexpected weather, but the team was on point and ready to roll with the punches to make everything perfect, no matter what Mother Nature threw at us.

how Kimberley and her team were able to flip our plan to rain plan, solve last minute problems, and make it a successful (mostly dry) event for us and all of our guests. Amy A

Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and a huge mistake. I’d say save yourself the grief as no one should have to deal with not only someone who couldn’t preform but rather was a disaster to ...

keep around. It’s your one day - DO NOT RISK IT! We caught her colluding with vendors on pricing even the ones we found ourselves for kickbacks- and that’s the worst feeling when your planner is working against your event instead of for it and focused on double dipping after locking a contract and getting paid by you. Regrettably we had the evidence but not enough time to get her off of our account. We didn’t assign anything to her and kept her involvement to a bare minimum and only as required by the venue but it was our poor decision to allow her access to our event. Some Examples of what that resulted in : Incorrect order of events passed to our wedding party and vendors. We ended up with no one showing up at the cocktail location because she instructed everyone to head to another location. Giving incorrect information to the venue of table count and seating. Fortunately they had figured it out and were taking instructions only from us. Wedding cake was sent to kitchen before we got to cut it. It really became way more work trying to put out the fires and monitor her than having a planner who would have done nothing. Even though we had two weeks left we did manage to replace most vendors without sharing the information with her and they did their best. Tips for wedding planning- Make sure your planner is personally recommended not just an online five-star review. (Maybe paid for) If your planner tries to win your confidence by talking about the venue/vendors in an us vs. them terminology- or undermining them -be Extremely Vary!!! If they are over insistent on particular vendors in this case it was The Flower Girl - know that they may be working together and you may not get an honest result. Luckily we had kept all the evidence. Make sure you are either directly involved with the venue or included in all communications - that is honestly why we still saved face thanks to the great team we had at Camp Lucy! Ask the venue for their recommendation. Our venue shared their experience with us and why they have their recommended choices. I would not recommend Silver thistle or Kimberly Bentley for any wedding/event related business. Review

tand our vision and bring that to life, is beyond me. You were so patient, yet saw through those small details I thought I may need, and pushed me towards what you knew I would want, and what you knew would make me happy, but I didn’t think was possible. I am not what I would consider traditional, and you made my off the wall ideas seem welcomed and exciting. I am in awe of everything about every part of both our rehearsal and especially our wedding day. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Everything was perfect, perfect, because of you. I remember walking into both Deep Eddy and Prospect House, looking around and laughing. I just knew nothing could be as good as what I had built up in my head, yet somehow, it was better. The day of our wedding, I kept coming out of the bridal suite just to watch the process in awe. Nothing has ever made me more happy than to see our vision come to life. To see what you thought would be amazing, blow your mind, because it’s more than that. To have all these elements from our travels entwined with so many design aesthetics, we only talked about, because I had never seen. You allowed me to trust you to run, and man did you run! Everywhere I turned that night, you were there, keeping us relaxed and stress free. Allowing us to enjoy our day. Making us feel so loved and special. I don’t know if I can ever say thank you enough, but THANK YOU. We are so grateful to now have you as a friend, and apart of our lives forever. You are a true visionary.

d to use from the start. Kimberley jumped right on board my crazy planning train and was able to help me fill in all the details that I forgot about the month+ out. She was AHHHH-MAAAAY-ZINGGG on our wedding day. We had a wild group and she was so professional yet fun and kept everyone in check for ceremony time. Her assistant was sick the day of the wedding and I had probably 15-20 boxes of decor that she magically unpacked and perfectly placed BY HERSELF in just a few hours. I saw the venue transform from a blank slate into the most beautiful romantic boho dream I could have ever imagined! Seriously, my husband and I miss her already...I told her I was going to get married again so we could have her around some more! hehe :) If you think you have the perfect timeline and everything is perfectly planned out for your big day and you can do it all by yourself the day of and still enjoy yourself...you're wrong honey! I am a severely, oftentimes annoying OCD planner, and I could not have done it without Kimberley. I see now, after looking back on our big day that a planner is a MUST in order to feel stress free and happy on your wedding day. Thanks again Kimberley! Much love and many thanks, Sarah & Kevin

r experience as a wedding planner really shows--we chose her mid-level wedding planning package and even though we planned a lot of the details ourselves, she was full of helpful little ideas that blended perfectly with our own ideas about how we wanted our day to go. In the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, she really came through in coordinating the little details we hadn't thought of, especially in terms of checking in with the different vendors and making sure they had the information they needed.

I don't know where I would have been without Kimberly. Well, actually I do. I would have been at a horribly-mismatched wedding trying to boss everyone around and not enjoying mysel...

f. Not only was it a joy chatting and meeting with Kimberly, she was just what I needed. She has an eye for style that I just don't have. She also asked questions about details that I just wouldn't have thought of until it went wrong on the big day. Also, there was a bit of family drama that I didn't even know about until after the day, which mean she must have done some major magic to keep quiet. Kimberly was the real MVP of the wedding.

As a parent you always hope that the most significant days in your child’s life are full of wonderful memories. My daughter and her fiancé decided to get married on our ranch. Not ...

knowing anything about how to pull this off we were given Kimberly at Silverthistle Events phone number as well as another wedding planners number. My daughter spoke with both planners but decided very quickly to book Kimberly. BEST decision she could have made! Her vendors were professional and very talented at what they did. However my biggest applause goes to Kimberly! When I said earlier that we all hope for great memories for our kids...that statement was tested when 6 days before our daughters wedding we had “historical flooding” in our area. The rain continued for the entire week before the wedding. 2 days before the wedding we had to change the location of the ceremony/reception to another area of the ranch and get a larger tent than what we had reserved. My husband and I were getting anxious about this situation but not Kimberly. Kimberley handled all of this with such professionalism and a constant smile on her face. The wedding ended up being wonderful under the big tent. The flowers, decor and catering were all out of this world. Thank you Kimberly for giving my daughter such wonderful memories! I have one more daughter who will be marrying soon. I hope Kimberly will be available.

Kimberley and her team are the best wedding planners ever! Without Kimberley I do not think our wedding would have been nearly as beautiful as it was. Her eye for style and decor...

made our wedding one of a kind and took all of our guest breath away. We also had a chance of rain so all of the original planning had to be changed and it still turned out better than I could have imagined. On the day of, she took care of the remaining decor and any last minute issues that arose so all of us could relax and enjoy the day. In addition to planning the best wedding ever! She also worked so closely with myself, my husband, and my family for the year prior to the big day and we consider her like family now. She took the time to visit us, get to know us, and make sure she captured our personalities in every part of the wedding. Here's to hoping my sister will get married soon so we can work with her again!!!

ners, Kim had our full confidence. Words cannot express our gratitude for Silverthistle. Our wedding was something out of this word! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of Kim. I hired Kimberley for our wedding in April 2018 and chose the most basic package as I had already picked out a lot of our vendors and had a good sense of what I wanted for our wedd...

ing. When I met with her the month before our wedding out at the venue she had a very calming effect on me and my pre-wedding jitters all the while keeping the same level of excitement. My actual wedding day is really when she shined for us. I spent the entire day on cloud 9 completely oblivious to the apparent chaos that was ensuing all around me. Our caterer showed up 2 hours late which not only delayed the food but they also were hired to set up all the tables, chairs and linens. She stepped up and had my bridesmaids pitch in without me knowing any of this until the next day. We also did not have enough table runners (My fault, I didn't bring them all!) she just asked me calmly if it was okay to cut them in half to accommodate the extra tables. I said "sureeee no problem" not even realizing I had screwed up and went out to look at everything it was just stunning the way she put everything together so last minute. Everyone at my wedding was commenting on how beautiful everything was and I could never have had the stress free, best day of my life without her help.

Kimberley was so much fun to work with. I was planning my wedding from overseas and it was so easy to work with her via Email when I wasn’t in Texas. When I was in Austin, she ha...

d everything scheduled to get it done in my short time frame. As for the day of coordination, I literally didn’t have to worry about a single thing. She has this business down. Kimberley also works with an amazing group of vendors. Our day was so much fun!

Having a day of coordinator is absolutely worth the cost and Kimberly is the one to have. She managed all the vendors on the wedding day so that we could just focus on chatting wit...

h our guests and having fun. Zoe, her partner, also coordinated with our shuttle service and made sure our guests got on the correct shuttle at the hotel in downtown Austin for the ride out to the venue. They were flexible and were the main reason the night went as smoothly as it did. We highly recommend Kimberly and Zoe!

Kimberley and her team were fantastic. We had a long engagement but Kimberley was there for the long haul! She was so helpful in a variety of ways! She was able to provide us with ...

more affordable vendors that were still fantastic (that don't show up on the top of google and wedding sites). She also was able to give us advice on the schedule and provided ideas for unique touches (milk & cookie bar, anniversary dance, champagne at the entrance, etc). She made our wedding extra special and I can't thank her and her team enough. The day went off perfectly, schedule was followed and if there were issues, I still don't know about them! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
