Shine, Tina! Makeup & Hair

photoshoot hair. There were 8 other people in my wedding party and Tina and her team were able to masterfully orchestrate all the hair and makeup. She was personable, considerate, and very sensitive to the personal vision I had. It was clear how much she cared by her careful curation of colors and materials for the event. I loved how she made me feel and look like the best version of myself!

ill honoring her age so gracefully, and seeing her feel so confident and radiant meant everything to me. Tina and Linda, thank you both endlessly. Hiring you was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I booked Tina for both my Vietnamese tea ceremony and wedding day, and I am beyond grateful I did. Tina truly understands her brides. She listened carefully to what I wanted and created a personalized look using a mixed Thai and Korean makeup style that perfectly suited my features and face. It felt like the best, most elevated version of me. Beyond her incredible skill, she felt like a friend and a therapist, bringing calm, reassurance, and warmth on a morning that could have been stressful with the rain. It ended up pouring on my wedding day, but not even rain or tears of joy could touch the makeup, it stayed flawless through everything. Linda, the hair stylist, was also AMAZING and perfectly executed the exact style I was looking for. These ladies are true professionals. Tina is beautiful inside and out, with truly exceptional character, and it shows in her work. I will forever recommend her and her phenomenal team. 100% worth every penny. Best Asian makeup artist in the DMV. You will not regret booking her.

They were fast and efficient but also very detailed and composed. Communication beforehand was seamless, and Tina’s responses were so quick and organized. She gave me several scenarios of different schedules to see which makeup/hair schedule fit my needs. I regret not booking a trial beforehand, but even though I saw her for the first time on my wedding morning, Tina took one look at me and knew how to address my specific face/eye/eyebrow shapes to best enhance my features. Tina’s make-up was just enough for me to feel beautiful and still naturally myself (as someone who usually doesn’t wear heavy makeup). Heather was also so great and her work on my and the moms’ hair was amazing. Our hair stayed up all day (even into the next day), and we received so many compliments. I honestly think the biggest praise is that both mothers were more than satisfied with their looks! Thank you, Tina and Heather!

ne before by another professional, but Tina’s work was on a different level and it was noticeable. I got comments from my guests that I looked like a celebrity or had the face of someone on a magazine cover!

me. Booking with Tina, the owner, was seamless—she made the process easy and stress-free! Tina and Heather got me ready for my engagement photos for September 2024, and I was so happy with the final look. They also provided helpful recommendations for wedding-day makeup and hair styling, which I truly appreciated. On our wedding day, Heather and Lindsey were amazing! They prepped my bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, sister, and even did makeup for my husband. My own hair and makeup held up beautifully all day and night—even with both outdoor and indoor events in this past May! If you’re looking for a reliable, talented, and professional hair and makeup team, book Shine Tina! Tina and her team are incredible—you won’t be disappointed. Thank you again for making my day so special!

works best for your features with your personal preferences. She also did makeup for my bridal party. Tina expertly determined the best makeup styles for everyone and we were all blown away by how stunning the makeup looked. As an Asian bride with hooded lids, I know how challenging it can be to find a makeup artist who understands the importance of customizing makeup for each individual’s features. I’m confident that Tina will make you GLOW. As an added bonus, Tina is incredibly responsive and quick to reply to emails which is greatly appreciated amidst the stress of wedding planning. I highly recommend Shine Tina to anyone!!!

tylist for me, my bridesmaids, and moms. From the very beginning, Tina went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied. I first reached out to Tina through her website in April because her portfolio demonstrated extensive experience with East Asian clientele and mature makeup. Within hours, I received an email with detailed information about her services and options. For my hair and makeup trial, I initially wanted the "glow glam" sleek bun look that was trending on social media. However, after Tina perfected it on me, I realized it wasn't quite the right fit. Instead, I opted for a more natural, understated look that felt truer to myself for the big day. Tina was so receptive to feedback, offering valuable advice on what would work best. Logistically, the schedule was tricky with a tea ceremony in the afternoon and our wedding ceremony later that day. But Tina ensured everything ran smoothly by sticking to an early morning start time (6:30am!), with buffer time built in, so we were all ready for the 1pm festivities. My bridesmaids and moms couldn’t stop raving about the attention to detail and how thrilled they were with their makeup! I was beyond happy with my final makeup and hair. Both stayed in place beautifully all day, even through the emotional moments. I only needed to touch up my lipstick a couple of times. While their services are on the pricier end for MD/DMV area, I would wholeheartedly recommend Shine, Tina for their professionalism, transparency, and dedication to their craft. They made me feel like my best self on my wedding day—while still staying true to who I am!

ng up to my big day. She worked with me to carefully craft the wedding makeup and hair timeline that would fit into my schedule. From the makeup trial, I was already impressed by how Tina would carefully craft a beautiful and timeless makeup look that is tailored to enhance my natural features, and how Linda can create a beautiful hairstyle to fit my face shape. The adjustments Tina and Linda made between the hair and makeup trial to my wedding day really embodied everything I wanted, and I appreciate how patient and accommodating they are. Moreover, my makeup lasted all night, even through all the happy tears and dancing! Tina and Linda made me, my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law look beautiful and flawless! I highly recommend this fantastic team!!

the start, their communication was clear, honest, and so collaborative. They truly listened to my vision while offering expert advice, ensuring I felt comfortable and confident every step of the way. Tina’s talent with makeup is unmatched – she made me look like the best version of myself, enhancing my features beautifully while keeping everything natural and timeless. Linda worked her magic with my hair, creating a style that was not only stunning but also stayed perfect and sturdy all day and night. Her attention to detail and workshopping ways to give me volume were incredible. What really stood out was their energy – both Tina and Linda brought such warmth and positivity that it made getting ready an absolute joy. Their professionalism and kindness made all the difference on such an important day. If you're looking for a powerhouse team to make you feel radiant, I highly recommend Tina and Linda. Thank you both for making me feel so special on my big day! ❤️

to describe it is pretty difficult. Let's just say she has been part of different weddings parties and the look she was provided was a bit off. It was heavier on the make up and it felt ' caked on' and where there was too much product. She didn't have a great experience, so trying to find a HMUA for our wedding make it a bit more stressful to find someone who 1) matched our style 2) understood asian skin tones and 3) matched our vibe. My wife's skin is pretty much perfect to begin with, but we wanted to make sure to enhance certain parts without it feeling heavy. I, on the other hand, have terrible skin (sorry!) so I felt like that was going to be the major challenge for them. Leading up to the day, Tina was very professional: she provided true insight, gave us prompt responses, and reassured us on how much coverage was actually needed. I was a bit focused on the logistics and all the timings she provided were perfect. We ended up with 2 HMUAs for the bride, sister of the bride, mother of the bride, and myself. On the day of, Lyndsey and Heather arrived 20 minutes early to make sure they could set up and we ready for us at the exact time. No one was running late, but even then, we had buffer space to work with - we were actually 20 minutes early for our ceremony! They were also matching our vibe and we felt reassured. We started the day off perfectly and in a good mood and that carried us through to the ceremony and reception. I can't thank Lyndsey and Heather enough. Normally, one would talk about how beautiful the dress / suit / decor / florals were, but I think both my wife and I were just incredibly impressed with how our hair and make up came out. We were partying and sweating and none of it came off! My wife still talks about her make up to this day! LOL! Again, I will die on a hill and say Tina and her team were the best part of the day and were 1000% worth it. We know how important the role of a HMUA is, but they went above and beyond for us.

nt so smoothly and Tina’s work couldn’t have been any more flawless. After our initial phone call, she organized and crafted a makeup/hair schedule for all of my wedding party right away so I can visually see how the wedding day will be. After we had to tweak our wedding day timeline a few months before the wedding, there were some time conflicts that I did not catch but Tina immediately alerted me and suggested to start the session earlier to make sure we had enough time to finish in time for pictures. Tina was so meticulous and detailed about my makeup & hair and asked questions about things I never thought of to make sure she provides the best final look I’m looking for. Even when I sometimes didn’t know how to explain exactly what I wanted, she was able to match the exact vision (honestly even better) than what I was looking for. She made sure to spend enough time on both my makeup and hair to make sure I was completely satisfied. She’s truly a magician because she knew how to naturally enhance my features and made me feel confident and beautiful without feeling like I was caked in makeup. Her makeup and hair lasted all day and night, and I was shocked how well my updo held up because I had to insert and take out a large hairpiece straight through my bun multiple times for our Korean traditional ceremony outfit change. Tina also did my husband’s hair and he was absolutely satisfied with the result which was a huge compliment from someone who’s so much more picky about hair. My mom, my mother in law and all of my 6 bridesmaids were very content and happy with their makeup and/or hair by Tina and Lyndsey. Even with so many people, Tina and Lyndsey finished perfectly in time. It definitely relieved a lot of stress for me on my wedding day having such a reliable artist. Tina and her team’s services are 100% worth the price and I highly highly recommend them to everyone! After our wedding, one of my bridesmaids decided to book Tina for her own wedding next year so I’m so excited to see Tina and her team again but as a bridesmaid this time!

d the hair and makeup for my mom and (now) mother-in-law. Both Tina and Linda were so kind, funny, and communicative! From the moment I reached out to inquire about their services, Tina was quick to respond with any questions I had, and she provided a detail invoice regarding fees of travel and a comparison of services (junior team vs. senior team) for my review. She also provide a timeline of the day to give me an idea of what the day of my wedding would look like. This really eased my nerves! They both came early and were ready to set-up and go with all their gear the day of my wedding once they arrived. You just have to provide mirrors. Linda and Tina were eager to know what style we wanted regarding our hair and makeup, and I thought they both equally executed my and my bridesmaids’ vision! My mom and mother-in-law even enjoyed getting their makeup professionally done, especially since they rarely wear makeup. Tina and Linda were true professionals, and I know we all felt beautiful on my wedding day! Tina and Linda, thank you again for making my wedding day a truly memorable one! <3

nergy and professionalism, making the whole morning relaxed and fun. What I loved most was how they made everyone look like the best version of themselves—beautiful, polished, and glowing, but still so natural. They really listened to what each of us wanted and took the time to foundation match perfectly. I was so relieved to see my skin tone looking flawless and natural, without any hint of orange! Their attention to detail was incredible, and it gave me so much confidence knowing I looked like me—just enhanced in the best way possible. My bridesmaids looked stunning, and my bridal look was everything I had hoped for and more. Plus, the makeup held up perfectly all day and night, through every happy tear and every dance move. If you’re looking for talented, detail-oriented, and kind makeup artists who will truly make you feel your best, Shine, Tina! Beauty: Makeup & Hair are the ones to call. Thank you both for making my special day even more amazing!

natural makeup that my now-husband severely disliked. But when I went to Heather and Tina, the outcomes were very natural. It's highlighting your best features and minimizing flaws without getting too overboard. I felt very good during the wedding day, and the makeup lasted through 95 degree weather and up to midnight. My mom, mother in law and bridal party were also very pleased with the results. They had all praises for Heather and her technique. I rated them a four because of overall affordability, they are NOT cheap! But I will say worth the money for the results!

make up and hair style fit my ceremony outfit (I wore a modern hanbok) and my reception outfit (western white dress) - I was able to freely dance, cry, and have the time I wanted at my wedding! They also did an amazing job doing make up for our mother's and friends - subtle but again, picture perfect. Tina provided a clear schedule which allowed us to stay on time and be organized during the wedding morning. All in all, an amazing experience - thank you again!

Although these women are the “junior artists” of the studio, they are seasoned pros who know exactly how to make their clients… shine lol. The booking process was easy because the team was quick to respond to our questions about what each service included/didn’t include and was transparent with prices, timing, and realistically meeting our needs. On the day of, Heather and Lindsey arrived at the hotel 15 minutes early to set up and promptly begin at the scheduled time. They were just the right mix of friendly and professional to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. I’ve had my hair and makeup done professionally countless times for friends’ weddings and it has never been good, so I was nervous, but boy did they deliver. None of us put on makeup or do our hair regularly and none of us had any ideas as to how we wanted to look, so we were grateful for their expertise and guidance. Both Lindsey and Heather provided helpful suggestions but were also open to our deviations. None of us were used to the amount of makeup and hair products required and were therefore hesitant at first, but after a while we got used to the feeling and it was worth it for the photos–I have never looked better! My mom speaks primarily Korean, so it was a treat for her to be able to speak with Lindsey and Heather in her native tongue; my mother in law is Chinese, but she did not feel any less comfortable or welcomed by Lindsey and Heather. My hair was medium length and thin, my mom’s hair was a permed mass of unruly curls, and my mother in law’s hair was thick, long, and straight–all three of the low buns that Lindsey adorned on our heads were classy and clean. I asked for a few wispy bangs down the sides, and Lindsey cut my hair to give me just that (a gift that keeps on giving as they add a little flair to my usually plain hair today). My sister has long, wavy hair, which Lindsey groomed into perfectly voluminous and non-frizzy waves. Aside from one of my fake eyelashes fighting for its life at the end of the night, all of our makeup and hair stayed put–and that’s even with me crying like a baby during the hot outdoor ceremony!

e is scary as someone who's never had it done before, but she really calms you down during the trial session. You can tell that she's a professional at what she does and knows exactly what she's talking about, and she personalizes everything exactly to suit you. I recommend doing the hair and makeup trial! Tina also offered tips on what to prepare for for the wedding day so you'll know exactly what to expect. On our wedding day, she and Linda set up so fast and got straight to work (so professional!) Even after not seeing me for a year, she knew exactly what I needed. TRUST THEIR TEAM! It was a rainy day and they talked me into an updo which was the best idea ever since it stayed all day and night and looked sooo elegant. She and Linda was able to prep us, our parents, and our MoH who was Indian, so they're able to work on not just east Asians! Our parents are also new to makeup and don't speak English well, but Tina and Linda were so patient and great at communicating with them so I didn't have any worries about that at all! Our makeup stayed on all day, showed up really nicely on pictures, and all we needed was a lip touch up. Tina and her team will make you feel absolutely gorgeous! Also, as a very acne prone person, I had no breakouts after the day!!

and boy, did she execute everything perfectly. My 7 bridesmaids were all of different ethnicities (Caucasian, East Asian, and South Asian), with different features, but they made them all beautiful. Tina and her team are a very well oiled machine. I could not believe in less than 30 minutes, they set up 4 stations and also breaking down. Her junior artists are by no means junior either. They are incredibly talented. Tina and her team are 10000% worth it.

g). She has done my make up three times now and each time she impresses me more and more. As an Asian American women, I have never liked western make up on me - it did not suit my face & I thought that was just what I was stuck with! However, I came across Tina and I finally felt seen and beautiful. I could sense her expertise right away by the way she assessed my face and knew instantly the color palette that suit me. What sets Tina apart is her ability to skillfully blend k-beauty and western beauty standards to create a look that's uniquely suited to you - I have yet to find another artist who isn't just one or the other. She also shared a wealth of knowledge for me to "take home," so I was able to improve my every day make up routine - her services don't just end on the chair, you take it home with you for many years to come! Additionally, my bridesmaids and mother in law all LOVED their make up and hair on wedding day. They are all different ethnicities with different facial structures and skin. All of them have also started to change their every day make up routine to replicate Tina's work. Through Tina's artistry, I've come to realize that makeup isn't just about enhancing one's appearance... It's a powerful tool that can impact the way that you feel, your interactions with others, and ultimately the entire day. Thank you Tina and Linda for playing an integral role in making my day so special!!!! 🤍 (Photos 1-3 cred: Eddy Almaguer)

smaids, and this team went above and beyond. I love how passionate Tina is about makeup — she'll chat with you about colors and undertones, facial structure, different makeup products or styles, and generally gets so excited for you to learn what works best for you. The day of, Tina and Linda both asked each bridesmaid what they were comfortable with and what they were looking for — all of my bridesmaids who had their hair and makeup done separately commented to me that they loved their hair and makeup. The team was working on quite a short timeline, but was so calm and collected that what could have been a stressful morning ended up being a bit more relaxed and definitely fun. We were especially impressed that the hairstyles lasted the whole wedding day through dancing and everything! If I could make a recommendation to anyone thinking about Shine, Tina! studio for their wedding, it would be to definitely do the hair/makeup trial in advance. It's objectively a little pricey, but so worth it. During the trial Tina and Linda discussed what styles I would want, tried out different products, and took into consideration any likes/dislikes and even skin sensitivities that I have. I was surprised at just how many details they remembered the day of! Lastly, I would say my favorite thing about working with this team is that they will offer their professional recommendations if you need, but they're also so dedicated to creating a look that you love. When I brought up questions about things that I wasn't sure would work well, they would show me different options and explain their reasoning but leave the decision totally up to me. There was no pressure to go with anything other than what I liked the most. If I ever need hair and makeup done for anything, I would one hundred percent come back to this team!

akeup lasted all day (a huge feat considering how early we started and how late the wedding ended!) and everybody was very pleased with their results. Moreover, we received many compliments from the guests. I had many questions for Tina leading up to the wedding day, and she was quick and detailed in all of her responses. I would 100% recommend Tina and her team and look forward to working with them again in the future. You will not be disappointed!

nderstood my vision, as well as how to style my hair and do monolid make-up as well as the Shine Tina team! I was slightly nervous going in, but they made sure to continuously ask what I wanted every step of the way (with my mother and sister as well for their hair&make-up), and in the end, both my hair and make-up lasted all day and night (2PM-1AM) and I still did not want to take any of it off that night! I felt so beautiful and comfortable!

party look beautiful with their hair and makeup. Even my husband got his hair done and it looked great. My mom also got her hair and makeup done by Tina and she looked unbelievable. I cannot thank them enough for making my special day turn out so lovely. Also I cried so much and my makeup stayed on so that goes to show how well it was done lol. Thank you again!!

party. From the first phone call, I knew I was in the right hands with Tina. Her years of experience in the industry and vast knowledge of event planning were evident as she guided me through the process. She sent me a questionnaire, asked for my vision, and even reviewed inspiration photos to get a clear understanding of my desired look. The trial with Tina and Linda only confirmed I made the right choice. It was clear they were true artists, knowing exactly where and what to apply to create a look that was both symmetrical and stunning. They even managed to transform my fine hair into a beautiful hairstyle . Throughout the process, they provided invaluable advice for my big day, and I quickly felt comfortable with them, as though we were friends. On the wedding day, Tina and Linda arrived not just on time but professionally early. In just 10 minutes they transformed the entire suite into a studio with dedicated makeup and hair stations. Tina's claim of being a one-stop shop was no joke; she brought absolutely everything needed to set up the stations efficiently and maximize the available space. Everyone on the wedding party was in love with their makeup and hair, and mentioned many times about their experience with Tina and Linda and how much they loved it. Despite the scorching 98F temperature during the ceremony, my makeup and hair did not budge and stayed put the entire night. I cannot thank Tina and Linda enough for their expertise and professionalism. They made me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day, and I would highly recommend them to any bride looking for the best in the business. They are truly the best at what they do, and you will not regret working with them.

n when I probably wasn’t even explaining it very well!! She also completely nailed my mom’s make up too. She was so fun to have around getting ready too - would recommend to every bride!!

what I did not want, and she was able to interpret what I said and translate it into a great trial experience and an even better wedding day look! On my wedding day, Tina and Linda were on time, brought great energy, and tailored makeup and hair - not just for me, but every single bridesmaid and mom! And, as a testament to her skills, my makeup was flawless the whole night even with many (happy) tears and lots of dancing. Would highly, highly recommend!

ommodating changes to the schedule. I was pretty clueless during the hair and makeup trial, but Tina gave some very insightful advice in color palette and hair that made the overall effect so much better. Lyndsey was my day of artist and I cannot rave about her enough. She was at my venue early, remembered all of the changes I wanted and even was wonderful dealing with some of my difficult family members. I 100% recommend ShineTina, Lyndsey and her team for any event you have!

the absolute best! I only have good things to say about Tina and Lyndsey, but here are some specifics of why I recommend them so highly: - Incredible eye. Their color matching and ability to flatter features is unmatched. I was blown away! They treat makeup and hair as a true art, and it shows in the quality of their work. - Very open to feedback. Everyone has preferences, and they were open to feedback and incorporated it so well, without any judgement. This is huge and I appreciated this so much. They are just lovely people inside and out, and want you to feel your best the day of, which was wonderful. - Flexible and very good communicators. I was able to schedule and adjust as needed very quickly and easily. Lyndsey was absolutely incredible with everything. That said, I had a wonderful experience with the trial (Tina and Lyndsey were both present) which I think helped hone my preferences so I highly recommend that. I also scheduled a brow session as well (Tina is a brow queen) a couple days before my wedding and loved it all! 10/10, highly recommend!

rrived on time. I loved my final look and the hair & makeup was so secure, through the crying and dancing it looked incredible throughout the night. My mother, MIL, and I got many compliments on our looks. After my initial trial (recommended), I had a makeup look in mind that did not work as well for my complexion and hair that didn’t work as well for my head shape. I sent all of this feedback in detail to Tina via email on what I liked and did not like and her artists really took the time to correct everything for me on the day of. The final look achieved was exactly what I wanted. Tina’s artists are very skilled and can achieve any look you’re going for. My advice for brides after their trial is to send their feedback to Tina since everyone has a different makeup preference. I really appreciate that Tina and her team were very open to adjusting the look to make me happy on that day!

rdo it like I wanted where it looked so natural. Tina was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She will respond so fast that it actually made my husband surprised. Tina was prompt and professional, but most importantly she is a highly skilled makeup artist. I 1000% recommend Tina without hesitation.

d helped me build my schedule in a way that included everything we wanted with a reasonable day-of timeline. Lyndsey did our hair and makeup for the bride, groom, and two mothers. She arrived early and knew exactly what each of us wanted. She was very friendly, efficient, and talented. Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, which lasted throughout the day without any need for touch-ups. Tina and her team were very professional from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for a wedding or any professional makeup needs.

l looking for. They were professional and created an atmosphere where you felt comfortable. This was a huge thing on my list when I was preparing for my wedding day so it was great to know they were accommodating. I highly recommend them and applaud them for all that they did!

mmend Tina and her team! Also I purchased bridel service , totally worth it , because Tina is around I eat and drink freely throughout the day without worrying about makeup and hair

annoying). My single non-negotiable for the wedding was having a hair and make-up artist that has shown excellence working with Asian faces. I wanted to make sure we had someone that understood my bone structure, skin undertone, and hair texture. These ladies are THE PROS! And the best part is that even for my non-Asian bridesmaids, they delivered the most GORGEOUS outcomes. You can trust that Tina and her team will deliver!! My bridesmaids, my mom, MIL, aunt, and I were all so pleased with how everything turned out. And my hair and make up DID NOT BUDGE. I was bad and fell asleep with my make up on, and I woke up looking like I just had my make up done! And some other details - Tina is so responsive. She was willing to work different timeline scenarios with me and help me settle on the team and timeline that would best achieve a smooth wedding day. This is your dream team! I promise!

Tina because they were wonderful to work with - also they radiate positive vibes and calming energy. I still think about how they made me feel that day, really beautiful and taken care of. Her team arrived on time, set up quickly and was very meticulous - they make sure you're picture perfect! As someone that isn't great with hair or makeup, deciding what look I want on the big day is a very daunting and anxiety inducing task. Tina and Linda (senior hair stylist) are experts when it comes to designing looks that suit each person, you could give as much or as little direction and they would execute flawlessly (my mom is very particular and they nailed it for her, she was so happy). 100% recommend, just loved them so much. Would definitely book Tina again for other events!

ate setup in our hotel room, and did everything so efficiently. Tina has such an eye for makeup, and really enhances natural beauty. The hair stylist was also able to replicate exactly what I wanted from photos and used hair pieces I had bought last minute. My hair and makeup stayed in perfect condition the entire day even after hours of dancing! 10/10 Would definitely recommend!

rofessional. Tina really knows what type of make up looks good on the bride. I would definitely recommend!

l. I would definitely recommend her. She knows exactly what type of make up looks good on people's face and she did my mother and mother-in-law's make up so beautifully as well!!

as a bridesmaid a few times, and she and the team NEVER disappoint. Every experience with Tina and Linda has been a joy - they are fun to work with and very skilled at their craft. Tina is also extremely responsive and quick to put together the schedule and adjust as needed. She also catered the makeup style to my face shape and structure specifically, and worked her magic to make my big round face look tiny! Day of, the team arrive early to set up. I was worried about staying on track with the timeline, but we ended up being ahead of schedule! I am so pleased with the quality of hair and makeup. Somehow it is both glamorous but also natural at the same time, AND makeup/hair stays in place until the end of the night! I would not hesitate to recommend Shine Tina to anyone.

me. The team showed up promptly and had hair and makeup done for me, 4 bridesmaids, my mom and sister all on time. I got to know them a bit during my trial session, and they were very fun and friendly and also collaborative and open to feedback on the look they were creating. I was very pleased with the final results on the wedding day and felt beautiful! One bridesmaid commented on how impressed she was that she simply showed a photo of the hairstyle that she wanted and the artist was able to recreate it perfectly on the spot. My sister hasn’t gotten professional makeup done before and was nervous, but she said she loved how it turned out. My mom was also very impressed. I highly highly recommend booking Tina and her team!!

ke your face a work of art. And Linda, she is like a hair sculptor. They are both masters of their craft and I felt very confident that me and my family would look amazing! They were professional and punctual. They heard everyone’s request and executed them flawlessly. For me, I really had no idea what I wanted. I had a bunch of pictures but nothing was clear in my mind on what that would look like on me. Tina and Linda were able to take all of my requests and create a beautiful look. I really appreciated that when I was in the chair and I wanted to make a last minute change or request they accommodated me. They didn’t make me feel bad or get frustrated for speaking up about what I wanted. I felt like they heard me out and adapted to my changes. I will definitely be seeking Tina out again for the next time I need my makeup done for an event. I don’t think I could trust anyone else but her and her team to make me look my best. Love you Shine Tina Team!

cially felt like a princess, and neither my makeup nor hair budged at all the entire day (almost 12 hours)! With this being said, I am extremely thankful I invested in a hair and makeup trial beforehand. Tina is incredibly skilled with her makeup work. With quick, analytic eyes, she is able to personalize all parts of the makeup to suit your face in real time, with little trial and error. Although I was happy overall with the trial, there were some components that I personally wanted to tweak for the wedding day. To my pleasant surprise, Tina was on the same page as me with my requests, and she even made some other helpful suggestions as well. She truly is an expert and really cares about her clients. Linda styled my hair into an effortless updo that was both romantic and clean, just as I had requested. Though we had to try a few different styles at my trial to find the right fit, I was extremely pleased with my hair on the wedding day. Linda is a perfectionist in the best possible way. There wasn’t a single hair out of place, and she took so much care in ensuring that I would look pristine walking down the aisle. We also chose to do the makeup and hair touch ups for my husband. Though only a short time was blocked for each of his services, Tina and Linda still took care in making him look extra handsome and camera ready! Overall, we are very thankful to have worked with Tina and Linda, as they are true experts in their fields and work with their clients to ensure their happiness.

so I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted or needed. Thankfully, Tina knew what would look good on me. She made suggestions and encouraged me to speak my mind freely, which I'm sometimes too shy to do. She really listened to me to make sure I not only looked my best, but felt my best too. From looking at her Instagram and learning about her experience, I knew I could trust her fully. She is also so personable! She made me, my bridesmaids, and moms laugh and feel so comfortable around her. She is fluent in Korean, which was great for my mothers who don't speak English very well. My hair and makeup looked great and stayed looking great even after my many tears and the crazy wind. If hair and makeup is important to you, hire Tina!
