Shindig DJs, LLC

e. Always a joy to work with David and his team. Will continue to request their service time and time again! Professional, considerate, kind, and fun! Really listens to our needs and wants.

t dance and he was accommodated that no problem. He was also super organized: his website was so helpful in establishing the flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, which was so nice since I was planning everything myself and didn’t know what I was doing. When we met to discuss our final playlist, he had everything printed out, answered my many questions, and offered suggestions for how we could make everything seamless but also end the party with a hype song. David was super prepared and obviously knew what he was doing, so I felt so comfortable and knew we were in good hands! He also was fun! He was professional but also you can tell he loves what he does, and it translated onto our dance floor, which was super important to me (dancing is my favorite part of wedding receptions). He played all of our “love/must play” songs and incorporated music that went along with the vibe of our music selection. If you are considering Shindig DJs, specifically David, I would highly encourage you to do so! I had multiple friends say how much fun they had (and how they had never seen their husbands dance so much) and how much they loved the music. I had an absolute blast at my wedding, and I would highly recommend working with David and Shindig DJs!

of the entire evening, and David is a pro at making this come to life.

nt, he was perfectly communicative and attended exactly to our needs. Like most couples (I think), we had a list of 1000 songs that we wanted to play. David set us right - he guided us towards picking the "must plays" but not overcommitting to too much - there's not as much time as you think! We couldn't have been happier with Shindig and with David specifically. If we ever throw another party of such epic proportions, we will use Shindig again! Thanks, David, for such a great wedding! We loved it!

not disappointed. We had several wedding guests comment on the reception and dance floor, saying just how well done everything was. They were professional and experienced and put on a hell of a show - you can't go wrong with these guys (big shout out-to David).

ntire process as stress-free as possible. The online portal was incredibly user-friendly, allowing us to customize our playlist and timeline with ease. David had some fantastic ideas that elevated our celebration and really showed us the benefit of choosing a DJ with years of experience and expertise. On our day, he ensured everything flowed seamlessly and stayed on schedule. He kept the energy high, created the perfect atmosphere for a really fun dance party, and the music was spot on. I truly attribute how fun our reception was to David. Highly, highly recommend David/Shindig DJs for your wedding!

tgoing, organized, and knows how to keep the party going. David is all of these things and more! He made sure to listen to my every need and went above and beyond in helping create incredible custom remixes so that the special dreams I had about doing a mother-daughter dance and unique wedding party walkout came true! He's a wonderful collaborator and coordinated with my saxophone player so that the music and timing of my ceremony songs and walk down the aisle came out exactly as I envisioned. He has beautiful uplighting and an amazing sound system, which we couldn't stop getting enough compliments about from our guests. He was always punctual and made sure to arrive early to make sure he had plenty of time to set up. (This really came in handy when he helped us calm our nerves by letting us practice our first dance in my dress while the vendors were still setting up!) He was always quick to respond and available to chat when I had questions. His extensive background in this industry was greatly appreciated and apparent as he had many insightful suggestions on how to create a smoothly flowing reception timeline while keeping the dance floor going. He knows when to play the right songs at the right time and most importantly advocates for what you want on your special day. And may I mention--he has a spectacular deep voice that stands out in a room packed full of guests! I would recommend David Smith to anyone looking for a extraordinary DJ for you wedding and can't appreciate his hard work, dedication, and expertise enough! Thank you David!

to the dancefloor more than any other responsibility a DJ might have. We have had MANY conversations with our wedding guests where they bring up the DJ saying things like "oh yeah and the DJ was amazing!" or "How did he just keep playing great song after great song!?" so that is OBVIOUSLY what you want to hear about from your guests afterwards as one of their favorite things because the dance floor is a big part of the fun! All that being said, we knew we made the right decision when we were able to have multiple meetings with him leading up to our wedding. He did a great job in those meetings leading us in a way we were comfortable when we did not have all the answers for how we wanted our wedding day to go. It was clear he's done this hundreds of times, so he guided us through our decisions where we needed them on things we didn't even think about like what music to play during reception and dinner. On the day of the wedding, we were blown away. My wife and I just didn't realize leading up how big of a role the DJ may play in our wedding (outside of the dancefoor). David did a great job with all of his announcements for dances and speeches and of course for all the ceremony music as well. As for when it came to dancing from the bride and groom point of view: it was expected that he would get to all of the songs we listed as "must plays" but we obviously were not sure how he would mix around those. He absolutely killed it! He did an amazing job keeping people on the dance floor and playing other songs that people loved to hear that fit in with our provided set list! He was incredibly professional, while at the same time he clearly was enjoying himself and took pride in making our experience the best it could be. And we had an amazing wedding day that David was a huge part in not only making it run smoothly, but really a fantastically fun event! Thank you David! from Meghan and John

day, he did a wonderful job mixing in our requested songs with other jams to keep folks on the dance floor.

or was electric the entire evening that we had him up until the very end! Our venue was in the mountains just outside of Idaho springs. The drive to get to the is quite the trek and of course it was snowing. We never heard any issues from David on making it to the venue. When we arrived David was already set up and the venue was completely decked out in lighting and to make the atmosphere even more immersive. During the ceremony there were absolutely no issues with sound or connection issues. The toasts went off without a hitch. For the dances I made it complicated and had David switch between multiple songs for my mom and I and he did it perfectly. The dancing is where the magic happened. David did an incredible job with the song set and would read the room very quickly if there wasn't a good vibe with a song and would perfectly transition to the next song. This barely happened as he knew exactly what he was doing. I highly recommend David and Shindig Djs to anyone who is having a wedding or really any event! I can see why they are so highly recommended and reviewed!

ional from our first call/email through our big day. During our introduction call we all were laughing and having a fun time – just on a video call! If it was that enjoyable to talk with David on a call, we knew he’d be even more entertaining in person for our guests. The planning stage with David was incredibly easy and he made sure all our favorite songs/requests were played during our reception! Throughout the entire process David made sure all our questions were answered and we were ready for our big day – especially for our dances. He helped us brainstorm how to handle the Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dance – something we had been somewhat dreading. Day of, David did his thing – he was set up where he needed to be throughout the event and kept the timing of the evening on track. We are very thankful for all of David’s help during our big day! Our guests enjoyed him as well!

ess transitions and personalized playlist, he nailed it. His energy was contagious, and he jived with the crowd effortlessly. Plus, his professionalism and reliability made the whole experience stress-free. Thanks, David, for turning our night into an unforgettable memory!

ddings because they truly are the voice of the wedding and help move things along smoothly. He followed the form we submitted to a T and said all the right things at the right time!! A lot of couples choose freedom for the DJ, which I know David would do fantastically! However, we chose to send him a list of songs we wanted played and he stuck to that list! We appreciate him so much for creating the wedding we envisioned!! So much fun. Thank you SO MUCH David :) 7/28/23 @ North Star Gatherings

d out. He perfectly understood our musical preferences, blending classic hits, modern bangers, and even some unique, personalized tracks that held special memories for us. David's ability to read the crowd ensured the dance floor was always buzzing. From the ceremony to the reception, the ambiance was spot-on, with guests constantly praising the sound quality and song choices. Moreover, David's infectious energy and joyful interactions added a special touch. In short, if you're looking for an unforgettable experience with attention to detail and a DJ passionate about their craft, we wholeheartedly recommend David from Shindig DJs. and hit all of our song queues perfectly as we requested! We HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding!

helps you feel confident in the whole musical scope of the wedding, and more! He MC'ed quite a bit of our wedding too and just nailed it; he takes the time to know all the wedding party names, etc. If you want the best, Shindig is it!

a bit off from the norm, and he absolutely nailed it. We requested bluegrass background music for our cocktail hour and dinner, which wasn’t even one of his genre options, and he managed to put together an amazing bluegrass covers playlist that got so many compliments from our guests because it was so good. He kept the party and announcements running super smooth, and then for the reception, he played all of the songs we had requested and more, and kept the dance floor full with all of the music that we and our friends love to hear. Couldn’t thank him enough and would recommend him 100%!

, generous with his time and worked with us to have a memorable wedding. David brought incredible energy to our wedding and truly made our day unforgettable. Would highly recommend him.

ed the timing of every song and was just an all-around fantastic presence! Could not recommend him more!!

iendly DJ, but he also assisted with event timeline management and coordination to take the stress out of our day. He was approachable in the weeks/months/days leading up to our wedding, and was more than willing to accommodate our requests. Everything flowed smoothly! We'd absolutely recommend David to others who are looking at hiring Shindig DJ's for their wedding.

is services. Beyond the DJ services going flawlessly at our wedding, David was incredibly personable and welcoming to work with. You can tell he has a genuine passion for music in general and made every step of the process actually fun! I would recommend Shindig DJ's for anyone in Colorado.

ou want, has the entire timeline figured out so that he doesn't miss a single cue, and worked with our other vendors to make sure everyone had mics and know where to set up equipment. On the day of the wedding, everything was seamless. All of our guests kept making comments about how great our DJ is and that he has the best announcer voice. He made sure everyone who made a speech knew exactly when and where they needed to be. When it came time to the dancing, it was truly the dance party of our dreams. It had all of our favorite party songs and I could not stop smiling the entire time. The songs were in the perfect order and mixed together so well. I would recommend Shindig DJs 100 times over!

really well. Our dance floor was literally packed all night and many of our guests said that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. I don't think they would have said that if not for David's DJing!

ommodating with what we wanted and envisioned and very professional in making it happen. He was always very quick and responsive when I contacted him. Also— he has the voice of a magic radio announcer hahaha he hosted the event so well!

well. He also does local trivia nights which are so much fun!

bring great energy and MOST importantly keep the party going! I knew I would look to hire David. I couldn't be happier with his responsiveness, taking the music that we wanted into creating the best playlist, he really takes the time to understand your wants and needs. Thank you David!!

d the up lighting upgrade as it really made the whole venue come to life. Highly recommended Shindig DJs, LLC and I plan to hire them for any events in the future!

was very professional and personable throughout. We would definitely recommend him!

wedding, planning and communication was so easy. Having the ability to setup our songs and details on the website he offers made it so simple and easy to do and then review with David prior to the wedding. David did an amazing job ensuring all the important songs on the list were played and everyone had so much fun dancing and being together that night. We cannot say enough about how pleased we were and cannot recommend him enough to our friends!

easy through an online website. The biggest thing I wanted was to make sure was that the dance floor was always moving and it sure was!!!! We loved David!

we heard back right away and had a quick phone call about what we wanted. When we had to reschedule everything due to COVID, he was so prompt in responding and getting everything moved asap. They use a web portal to get all the information he needs (What introductions will they need to make? What setup is necessary? What songs are must play/do not play?) and then we had a quick video call a bit before the event to clear up everything on both sides. He was so casual and flexible with all our interactions and a professional through and through. Plus he has a quintessential DJ voice so he must have been born to do it! The prep work was outstanding but obviously the big question is how things went on the big day. I've had no fewer than 10 wedding guests tell me how impressed they were with the DJ. When do you ever hear that?! There was somebody on the dance floor for EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. No joke. David mixed it up so well for the different ages and kept the energy perfect all night.

Bonus: he announcer voice is AWESOME!

mmend!

husband and I to ensure our wedding day would be perfect. He also created custom first dance mixes/cuts! They were great and made the family dances feel even more special. David is not only a great DJ, but an excellent MC. I would 100% recommend David and Shindig for any special event.

every moment that I wanted to happen came true. He hyped the crowd up and really did an outstanding job especially with planning having to happen over zoom and phone calls. My wedding planner recommended David and and I am so thankful because his personality really helped to make the day of my dreams come true!

entire flow of events for the evening and was warm, welcoming, and inviting to all of the guests and worked so well with all of our vendors!

ing every step of the way. His vibe is premium! Thank you!
